QUOTE(cynical66 @ Oct 30 2017, 05:13 AM) i just went in whatsapp setings and did a backup to my google drive. then re-registered in my Note 8. seems everything was backed up as when I double-checked, it had the last message from my old phone to the new one. |

Anybody here has issues adding their Maybank Visa Card in Samsung Pay? I even tried entering manually but as soon as it detects the 2nd set of 4 digits, it says the card is not supported...

QUOTE(emei @ Nov 2 2017, 10:50 PM) Anyone can share how to register ewarranty at mysamsung? I read in this thread before and I lazy to find the information . btw, to add on to this, has anyone here who bought from Qoo10 registered their warranty? I have read previously here that seller would have to register it, is it correct? and how to check whether the registration of warranty is completed. lastly, which receipt did you upload, is it the screenshot from Qoo10? I didn't get any receipt when i got the phones. |

QUOTE(vhs1 @ Nov 3 2017, 03:26 PM) i just couldnt trust another flagship device Sorry to hear that Samsung brand has let you down. I am no Samsung fan either and we have considered a lot of things when I purchased these phones. let me share you how I got to decide;yes..you are right. the MOBO definately has design flaws and sub standard OTA software updates. The finger print lock/unlock button to wake-up the phone from standby always causes the phone to freeze and lagging, while it takes time to activate most the time failed and the phone goes into restart mode, thus need to key in password/ pin / pattern etc to unlock the phone. since i cancelled the FE, I told myself i wont be touching ( for a while) another product from this korean even though how flag ship the phone promised. Although i have another 2017- A7 which my wife is using. ( though its also have the bugging restart occurs sometimes). She told me that and i saw too the self restarting of the phone (A7) i m so so... disappointed with this korean phone. I do love my note edge. even MOBO king kong....many ppl said why so foolish to get a new MOBO. I told them.....for another RM 1,100 MOBO change its worth because at RM1,000 now, where can you buy a phone with S-Pen & IR Blaster & Heart Rate Monitor & 16MegaPix camera nowadays As of now. I m using Honor 8 pro. First samsung phone we had at home is the galaxy S plus i bought this for my wife and she loved it. The amoled display is just gorgeous. she used it for about a couple of years and during that time she also bought me the Galaxy S3. I too loved it, because of the display and of course, being something recently released at that time, it was 'the' best android phone. So I used my S3 and my wife used her S plus and I could hear here complaning about the phone being slow and unresponsive - due to it aging and her having a lot of things inside it too. then came in the company Oneplus - the flagship killer. I reviewed the specs of the oneplus one and I thought that it is somehow future proof(for a couple of years at least) and considering the price, it was a bargain. During these times when I was considering oneplus one, I have been playing around with our samsung phones. I have tried different attempts to enhance it's performance by installing different ROMs slim ROMs, etc. well it worked however there is always a downside such as the battery does not last that much. or some features will not work. then I just gave up. So that lead us to buy oneplus one. I thought of getting 2 so if anything goes wrong with my wife's phone or if there is anything she is unsure about her phone then I could quickly respond instead of googling solutions. I have to say, Oneplus One has been a great phone. we had them for 3 years and until now they are still responsive. I liked it a lot. never really thought of switching phones however I thought that I could upgrade now and give the oneplus ones away to our relatives and make someone happy. Now you may be asking, why I didn't go for Oneplus if the phone is great, right? My guts were telling me to go for it. I could have just bought my wife a note 8 and I go for Oneplus however I thought this would be a good opportunity to try something else. I have always been amazed with the curved screens on samsungs and at the same time, when I was using oneplus one, I have the pen which I use from time to time. Besides the software now has lesser bloatware and closed to the stock android experience. So when I saw the opportunity at Qoo10 and help from fellow forumers, I went for it. Just sharing. |

QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Nov 5 2017, 11:28 PM) it may be improbable due to the S-pen. In addition, I think they compensated the lack of stereo with the bluetooth v5.0 technology. besides, isn't it audible enough for notification/listening to music or watching short clips? just my opinion though. |

QUOTE(aaron80 @ Nov 7 2017, 10:54 AM) just now took up the phone from the table, and immediately it dropped at few cm high above the table Where'd you get your screen protector? Would it fit the spigen neo hybrid? Currently using the invisible shield from Rearth and its very sticky.so it hit the table at the bottom edge which is saved by the spigen case's cushion. then screen face down hit the edge of the laptop, and saved by the tempered glass checked the tempered glass, no scratch and my 8 is still fine luckily that did not drop from the higher position my cheapo TP still serve me well after 17 days |

QUOTE(aaron80 @ Nov 7 2017, 10:30 PM) RM38 Thanks a lot. If you could share how it looks like then I would really appreciate it. If all goes well and a gathering is set then please sign me up. X2 phones.actually consumer can't directly buy from his shop, that's why i didn't share the shop info no idea that which phone accessories shops take stock from his shop i install it myself, put the case on to help for alignment, at least i can see the space between 2 sides to know that it is align well or not hmmm, if more people are interested to get it then i can help to get it from my cousin at once and then meet up at one place to distribute and gathering.. i am actually lazy to travel and distribute multiple times, plus hard to schedule time with people too because i am not a accessory seller like sakuraz so can't station at one place whole day to wait for everyone i will try to borrow a phone with nice camera to take photo on tomorrow if i remember |
