haih, just call TM 100, they say my charge should be RM199, not RM209...

they advice me to cancel the order at the place I did the order at TM point, and make a new order. It's either that or I need to deal with billing department few months from now for the new charges.

Hope this won't mess everything up sad.gif

has anyone cancel pending order /upgrade before? any advice of what I should do? Order still pending, installation date 4/1/18. still got time to cancel.

Hi btfan, vez, chaos32

Did you manage to resolve the issue that speed dropped from 100mbps to lower speed after bit torrent?
I'm facing the similar issue, i'm using Asus AC68U router and frequently BT. If i re-connect to TM then the speed will be back to 105mbps.

I just logged a ticket to TM, they will send Technician over but i wonder what they can do....
*
I just got back into town and yes still facing issue but in my case it’s not BT related, just regular usage. It’s not throttling in my case since I do not download. I am using AC88U.

Pls let us know if TM provides a solution.

i'm upgrading from 50 to 100mbps using the rm10 promo. is the router that comes with it any good? also should i expect a replacement for the hypptv device as well? mine hasn't changed since 5mbps o_O;
also not sure what router their giving either, but i already have an Asus AC68u, is that good enough for 100mbps?  hmm.gif  or is the unifi router going to be better? any thoughts.

The ASUS RT-AC68U is leaps and bounds better than the TP-Link Archer C1200

Yes, don’t bother installing that. Stick with your Asus router.

I've just upgraded to 30 Mbps RYE and still using my Wireless L7-N-R2000 (D-LINK DIR-614) since 2014 when I was on 5 Mbps. It serves me well but the maximum wireless speed I get is 20Mbps.

Should I ask TM to change it or should I stick with it?

just to share my exp...

i think not... likely not about "t"... something else is not right.

i did some heavy "t" yesterday and today, speed stays the same after that, no problem.

it was via ethernet, not wifi.

Ask em to change it.. I've used both and now with the C1200.. Same 30Mbps.. Better than the DIR-614...

Cannot.. Why would they want to come back at another date just for that.. You think they so free is it.. Later ask you to pay additional charges, you don't want.. how to run biz like this.. Summary, let them install everything.. Once they leave, unplug the STB and throw it in the trash if you like..You'll still going to pay for it anyway.

Call em up or direct march to TM HQ and flip table.. I was at a TM Point earlier today to again politely argue and complain at their incompetence levels to handle what should be a simple task. TM HQ already agreed to lower my monthly price and toss in Jumbo + free calls.. In fact, discount already applied and Jumbo given, but then after I left, staff screwed up the order.. Don't know what they clicking behind that desk. Jumbo got taken away and no free calls given.. So must make another high-level report in person.. Won't be paying my bill till this is rectified.. isshh... mad.gif

Then you can upgrade via telephone.
It comes with Jumbo pack on top of your Ruby pack and also free calls.

I got free router AC1200 but pretty useless.

Really eh,? this is not fair lor, I am paying RM219 for 50M with jumbo pack, ruby, and STD20..

but still not getting the rm10 promo thing. I called 100 but they say my account is not on the list.

Better u directly complain to MCMC, mine previously 50Mbps + sport pack & free 600min call, after complained to MCMC, today get my 100Mbps + Jumbo & Ruby, and TM agree to lower to RM189 now

I noticed my speed dropped usually after 1 or 2 days.
May I knw what router are you using? Not sure whether is due to Asus router, or need some specific settings.
Also, have you enabled ipv6? Mine is disabled

using old n cheap asus rtn12hp.

get only 95mbps since it is not gigabit.

but it's very stable, very reliable, same as it has been last 4 years with 30, 50 mbps.

i get up to 11MBps with ethernet torr.

wifi... another story... not so good.

using ipv4. ipv6 disabled.

will monitor, see if any change.

am looking at new asus router, maybe ac1300uhp.

Hey man. I am still monitoring it. Due to other reasons, I am unable to maintain the same IP for longer than 5 days. Have you tried turning off your QOS completely? Will update you guys if there's any changes.
