Anything above 50Mbps on 2.4GHz is very lucky. Doubt can get it constantly

Serious that means most of devices cannot support/achieved 100Mbps on 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz ?

Whoa, Congrats.

Successfully processed?

On 2.4GHz impossible to get 100Mbps constantly unless u living in a desert. On 5GHz can achieve 100Mbps or more easily as long the signal is good. But 5GHz cwnnot penetrate walls easily. So if you are further from router, speed gonnq be less

Asus routers are way overpriced in Malaysia. sad.gif Now with 86U I scare 68U will be neglected.

ASUS is not TP-Link or D-Link
They don't neglect their old routers
Even the old RT-N16 that was launched in 2010 is still getting firmware update in this year unlike TP-Link / D-Link who abandon their old routers after 1 year of production

nope, they dont lol
you mean same distance is router downstairs, speed test upstairs? my upstairs 5Ghz signal weak, can use, but not strong, dont think can get 100Mbps
5Ghz sure can achieve 100Mbps if signal strength is ok
*
tq. i ask to get more info on top of my own tests before i buy new router.
see which variable matters most for wifi - router, 2.4/5ghz, or old/new devices.

think so. unless u r <5ft away, 50mbps is just about the best.
device sensitive also.
my new devices can get up to 55 at 50ft, pretty constant; others... 10, 20...!! biggrin.gif

Getting 100Mb/s is not dependant on your router, but the device that you're using itself
Most devices limits 72Mb/s on 2.4GHz

Only very few devices can reach 100Mb/s on 2.4GHz

I'm only getting 50++Mbps on 2.4ghz and 60++ on 5Ghz on most of devices on 100Mbps. Thinking was it due to my router issue.

hi, many users must be like me now... on unifi 100mbps but not sure how best to improve performance.

.. unifi tplink ac1200 no good, unstable, etc...
.. mix of old and new devices.
.. mix use of ethernet and wifi.
.. average double story house... 2000-3000sgft.

can u comment:

.. what cost effective router will u suggest overall? i like asus... ac1300uhp vs ac68u vs ac86u... for "simple" use, multiple devices?
.. for a pc on wifi 2.4ghz 50ft, how well can a 5ghz wifi dongle do?
.. if using 5ghz, what is max distance until performance drop drastically... assuming fairly clear line of sight, not 3-4 walls, etc.?

thanks for help.

AC86U > AC68U > AC1300UHP.

Your two other questions depends on many factors such as the layout of your house, the type of router you are using, and so on.

Guys.....does TM routing to OVH SAS (AS16276) screwed up again?

Even after getting different range of IP address, I only seem to get 10 - 25 kb/s from France VPN/Seedbox server.

You can request for it, because it is a new contract for 2 years.
