Cimb sent an infinite card out of nowhere to my wife, whose income is no where near the requirement and we are not really active users of cimb cards, rather more on mbb cards. Anyone knows why or experience this?

RM 10 is the ticket price. RM 0.50 per ticket is the booking fee .

I paid RM 21 for 2 tickets today at 6pm.

I remembered the discount shown before confirming the payment is RM 9

The original ticket price before discount is RM 14.50

Of course it'll earn you 2% cash back.

For utilities/telco/mobile, you need to sign up for Auto Pay/Auto Debit (CIMB calls it SI).

Hmm hmm.gif ... I am confuse, it will earn me 5% cash back? I thought you say it is not entitle in the previous post?
If switch to SI, it is no longer internet transaction, so will not earn 5% cashback and only earn 2% correct?

If you pay yourself at Astro website or over the counter, you won't earn 2% cashback (sorry for the error).

In order to earn 2% cash back under utilities/telco/mobile category, you need to sign up for Auto Pay/Auto Debit/SI.

You won't earn 5% cashback also as it is not classified as online transaction even though you pay at at Astro website.

Sorry for the confusion.

cimb cr is rm19.95 (after cashback in statement) for 2 tickets for any movie and any day.
the best part of using this is that you get to choose your seatings first before you go.

Also regarding to this, anyone had received it?
This promotion is already more than 2 months but I still not found anyone report they get the cashback.
Me also similar case. No (15% cashback (my promo during that time, only 15%) even after second billing.
I only got the normal 5% cashback. 15% of 500 should be around RM75

Noticed that even you use UOB PayOnline payment processor to pay your bill. The merchant name is nothing resembling UOB or UOB PayOnline.

Are you still trying to connect to respective payee server?

For further clarification, credit card statement cut off date on 28th of every month, cash rebate cut off date on 25th every month

Unfortunately My transaction posted on 28 of May, cs told me cash rebate will be reflected on next month statement.
Confirmed by her June online transaction will eligible 5% rebate capped at RM30.

Cimb bank has a 1 hour approval for their card centers apparently.

Too bad the cut off time is at 4 pm.

But it's a good thing to know that they offered such services. Or am I slowpoke in this matter?

I received from cc.rtc2@cimb.com before. It's legit.

as for your RM100 reload, I believe it's auto deduct from your credit card that is tied to the Zing card.
You should call up CS to request for cancellation of the Zing card.

Just did the 1 hour approval at Paradigm Mall last Sunday. It only took 20 minutes.
No document is required.

Once you got there, you are required to self print your EPF statements for 2014, 1015. And that's it.

A little disappointed with CIMB overall today.

Purposely planned my timing ngam ngam to have an empty timeslot during 11~1 pm to sign up for a CIMB Card from the KLCC center.

Reached there around 11.10 am. Nobody bother to assist until much later. Was told to come back at 1, which is already quite late for me.

Came back around 11.50 am, saw few staffs there. Filled up everything and submitted the EPF with additional documents to speed up the application.

Till now, almost 1 hour d but no news yet to come and collect. Sweat.

Oh? Mean it does entitled for 5% also.
E.g. 8 tickets = RM84, entitled for RM4.20 (5%) Cash Back.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Send them your bank statement or your payslip.

Problem solved, you'll get your card soon.

Sometimes they can be a little annoying.

you tried? means you haven't bought yet?
so until which stage that you think you didn't get?

many people thought it's like mbb agoda whereby it immediately show the discounted price after you key in your cc number, but it's not the case for cimb gsc.

No.

Principal ---> RM 50
Supplementary ---> another separate RM 50 each

You can refer to the FAQ or T&C. I just read it yesterday.

Hi - was searching through the thread(s) but could not find an answer.

Can anyone confirm if purchase on Airasia website now is entitled for the 5% online rebate? Remember getting it last time, but just realized now in TnC, it says

"Excluding Airlines (MCC
3000-3299, 4511), Insurance
(MCC 5960, 6300), Utility
(MCC 4900) and Mobile Bill
Payments (MCC 4813, 4814)."

Applied housing loan from cimb, but then rejected their offer

Now they sent me 2 CC, visa signature and MasterCard cashback.

The visa signature their stated no annual fee life time, so I activated it.
How about the cashback card?

Posts I found my answer here

Doesn't the T&C specify stated so clearly that Airlines are not entitled for 5% rebate under E-commerce category?

most of the banks if you have housing loan more thn 750k they will invite for Visa infinite or preferred card . No need income to have this cards as is by invitation . By normal procedure without 750k and above u need to invest/saving at least 200-250k in bank to get this invitation or income 100k above per annum .

most of the banks if you have housing loan more thn 750k they will invite for Visa infinite or preferred card . No need income to have this cards as is by invitation . By normal procedure without 750k and above u need to invest/saving at least 200-250k in bank to get this invitation or income 100k above per annum .

Actually after I did research I think would love maybank premier the most. Do you think after I got the cimb preferred would it become a path for me to get same tier maybank card as well?

Already been using the newly received CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum for about two weeks and suddenly today received a PIN code letter from CIMB.

What is this for? To use for ATM login? Because from my Maybank2Cards, no such letter is issued to me.

FYI, I have also registered and been using CIMB Clicks for statement purpose.

Thanks in advance

Just did the 1 hour approval at Paradigm Mall last Sunday. It only took 20 minutes.
No document is required.

Once you got there, you are required to self print your EPF statements for 2014, 1015. And that's it.

All you need is EPF Printout from their machine.

They don't accept anything else other than their machine.

And the CL is based on luck, I guess?

I get X2 of gross salary.

TAC should be registered from bank or ATM. Maybank used to accept ATM but now also required bank. I supposed that's the case for CIMB as well.

I have savings account with CIMB, so it is auto-linked for me.

Guys, how to buy RM 10 GSC ticket from GSC app? I keyed in everything and when wanna make payment, it doesn't show RM 10 but still the original price... Then, I don't dare to tap on Submit button.

Since I can't get good seats for Minion today, plan to watch it on Monday. Advice is appreciated. notworthy.gif

This might be out of topic but since I have one CIMB card, someone here might be able to give some advice..

I have a few credit cards:

1. CIMB platinum cash rebate mastercard
2. Maybank platinum 2 cards (visa and amex)
3. Citibank business visa platinum
4. Public Bank visa platinum

I am about to make a huge payment (30K+). Anyone can advise me which card to be used, in terms of the points etc...

Hello guys,

I've register my CIMB credit card about 3 weeks ago and still didn't receive my card yet, although my application was already approve they have send me the verification for activate my card a week ago.

Is there a due date for our card registration. I'm wonder if CIMB didn't make any call to their costumer to verify if the card already receive or not.

Got.

KLCC has one hour approval.

Garden also, I think.

CIMB is much more efficient compared to Maybank, I must admit.

Settled my new card and got my supplementary the next day as promised.

All you need is your latest EPF statement.

I retract my earlier statement on ASTRO. Since somebody has proved it by paying online at their website.

I have tried on GSC website and 11street. Got 5%.

UOB Payonline, Maxis website, DiGi website, Celcom website and TM website all doesn't have 5% or 2%.

i met the requirement, but high commitment caused the application was rejected without any follow up from them.
For Mach CC, it also rejected first time, but the officer follow up and sms me, and asked me submit more docs(fd cert, stock statement, 13 month payslip) to appeal and finally approved on 2nd time.

Maybe alternative ways to get PB VS is pledge 34-35k fd, but got rm170 stamp duty...Maybe I should ask my mom pledge for me as she is loyal PB customer, most of her FDs were with PB for 10-20years++

2% sure cannot get since it's not via SI.

5% is possible if they're classified as e-commerce. From my experiment for the RM 100 cash back contest, they're not entitled for it.

I were testing paying utilities using CIMB CashRebate via Maybank2u feature and got no luck. This method works with PBB VS anyway, under online transaction.

The fastest way is for you to call CS and submit a request.

Otherwise, they may ask you to go to the nearest branch and fill a form.

Yours is Gold or Platinum? Each level has its own min CL.

Give CS a call to inquire about it.

i believe CIMB will accept if you write in. they just want prove anyway. ocbc can limit cap the usage of your credit limit instead of reducing the credit limit permanently. when i held their titanium card, i asked them to reduce the credit limit but ocbc wanted me to write in but at the same time, they can reduce the maximum spending limit of my card, when they issued me a WMC, the credit limit was reduced to the capped limit i wanted

hmmm easier than i thought. just give a call to the CS and after some verification, just state the amount that I want and it'll be done within 3 working days. lol. but the CS did remind though if i would like to increase back in the future, i'd need to send in the supporting documents

I applied via CIMB agent, no Zing card so far. I have used for more than two months now but nothing has arrived.
I have requested and reminded few times not to include the Zing card for me.

However, others were saying this amount ca be reversed later, just inform CS when you are charged and should you want them to cancel it.

Sorry if this has been asked before.
I would like to know what else do it need for cimb credit card charge back other than filling up the dispute form?
I am not satisfied with some online purchases and would like to file a chargeback.
thanks smile.gif

You will earn 5% Cash Rebate for transactions (inclusive of overseas / foreign currency spending) made on E-Commerce (excluding transaction made on Airlines, Insurance, Utility and Mobile Bill Payments).
No 5%, just normal 0.2%. laugh.gif

hmm, CIMB is famous of cross border fee, hard to spend thing on e-commerce, unless something like Lazada, that I can think off

is it true can pay Astro 5% rebate?

Yup, you can refer below posted # 83

QUOTE(laymank @ Jun 10 2015, 09:37 AM)
Just did the 1 hour approval at Paradigm Mall last Sunday. It only took 20 minutes.
No document is required.

Once you got there, you are required to self print your EPF statements for 2014, 1015. And that's it.

2% cash rebate on mobile & utility bill payments via Standing Instructions.

1) TM, Unifi, Astro considered utilities?
2) standing instruction = auto-debit?

CIMB Cash Rebate has no annual fees.
GST is already no longer applicable from 1st April onward, so this card is free for life.

All cards have no more GST. So if no annual fees, then free of charge.
Else you have to pay for annual fees + 6% GST if it is not waivable.

That's cross border charge, even you buy an iPhone via Apple Store charged in MYR still has this cross border charge. I think even if we buy from Apple online Malaysia store, it still goes through Singapore.

yep cross border fee. somehow, cimb converted the usd to ringgit first before charging the cc and so i got d cross border fee. my other cc usually charged the cc in usd then only convert.

by right there won't be any cross border fees if we pay in foreign currency

Are you asking or telling us?

But, I can share with you that if you pay online at TM website or UOB Payonline, you won't get 5% cash back. I'm not sure if there's other channel.

It is possible to add your credit card issued by another bank to pay for bills (selected merchants only) on M2U.

I am kinda confused with CIMB.

Let's say my limit is 10,000.

My statement balance is 2k.

I just paid 2k off yesterday.

Outstanding usage is about 400+

But why my available Credit Limit is around 8k+?

Go to their card center and bring yourself.

Print EPF from counter and it's probably gonna get approved if your epf is okay/etc

Additional 50 bucks voucher from Guardian itself.

Total spend = 500 - 100 = 400 laugh.gif

Yeah. I bought stuffs for parents there.

Normally, I won't even come close to that figure laugh.gif

But heck, Guardian occasionally can surprise me with their pricing.

A twin pack of Darlie whitening which I always use will be priced at 11,90 at Guardian while the Tesco opposite could be selling at 16.XX laugh.gif

I am surprised with CIMB credit card! I swap my CIMB card for furniture today with RM3000 ++, I call and asking for easy payment, and they told me they didn't provide such service.. I am wondering how can it be? all other banks like RHB, UOB, OCBC all provided this service..

The excuse they gave was "We are supporting our merchants, so we don't provide call in for installment."

It should be a debit card. Credit limit is your amount in the tied saving/current account.

I am new to the credit card. I got my Petronas Gold Master Card that I have applied on two week ago yesterday. It came with a generic Visa Gold Card that I did not sign up during my forms submission to the bank. Called CS for verification and she mentioned that currently they will provide the Visa card along with the other requested card to all new customer and ask me to try the card first before deciding for cancellation. As far as I know the Visa Gold Card has an annual fee @ RM140++ to be charged on the 2nd year onwards but the CS person said it can be waived later.

I have activated both cards eventually but now I get annoyed by this. I think I should have cancelled that Visa card in the first place instead of keeping both. What is the requirement of CIMB bank to waive the annual fee when it took place? I googled it but I can’t find info on that matter. Can they really waive it upon request?

No worries. You can use it for 11 months, if you want to.
On the 12th month, stop using it so that there is no outstanding amount on the card.

once the AF is charged to the card, you can call CS to waive. If they refused to waive, just cancel the card on the spot.
Without any outstanding amount from the card, basically you have not used the service, you can cancel the card without having to pay the AF.

*
Will keep the card then.
Thanks for the advice btw!

anybody who hasn't gotten their sms transaction alert on their spendings lately? after my credit limit change, i no longer get any notifications. gave a call to their CS and they said the minimum is rm100, any amount lower is not possible because it costs the bank for sms :facepalm

Sometimes only. I thought BNM made it compulsory for banks to send sms for every transaction? Not sure if I remember correctly.

Well...
Based on the criteria set by the Bank, the principal card members will receive the SMS alert for transaction(s) on their credit cards including supplementary card(s). Card members who travel overseas may incur international roaming charges.

HLB has SMS triggers function, but you will need to walk-in to activate it. That's their "criteria". laugh.gif

Initially it was email requesting for documents and I provided 3 months pay slips only. Then got a call from CIMB to process the application. After that straight away got email stating that if i don't receive cards within 2 weeks, then call in to check status.

Installment plan at participating merchant? If it's that, it depends on the merchant to absorb it.

Cimb don't offer such services.

It's either on the merchant side or you need to BT it out.

Not sure if anyone had experience on below.

Let say you purchase a item online RM300 using Cash Rebate CC, you should get 5%.
But few days later item out of stock so seller offer refund via CC or Account credit.

If i opt for refund via CC, will CIMB reverse my 5% rebate?

Based on my experience, it depends on the online merchant. 11street will ask you if you want 11street credits or amount banked into your designated saving/current account.

Previously CIMB gave me visa signature together with zing card.
The benefits are not that good for me as I do not travel often.

Is it possible to switch to another CIMB credit card like CIMB cashback cc?

Currently I have Visa Gold and I never use it. Now, I want to cancel it and I calles to service center for cancellation. But the fellow ask me to pay annual fee RM140 at first, then they will proceed for card termination and RM140 will credit to my account. Can I trust it? Scare can't get back my money. As I know Visa gold first year fee is waived, and second year need to pay RM140, mine is going to 2nd year.

It state 8% discount if book hotel in Hong Kong, Australia and Thailand.

Is it still entitled the 5% for online cash back? So total cash back is 8% + 5%?

Maybe they intend to publish the winners for all the remaining weeks in one shot. This week is 8 weeks after Week11, so should be soon.

Other than credit cards by invitation only and Preferred Visa Infinite which is only for Preferred members, CIMB lacks a higher entry requirement card like MBB Reserve 2 open to all which gives better benefits. Their benefits for the so called higher entry RM150,00o per annum income reqirement Visa Infinite is ridiculous and the complimentary lounge access needs RM100,000 per annum spending to be renewed. What???????

Try CIMBClicks.

Or download the Auto Debit form from TM website.

Disclaimer: Nobody confirm that this will give you 2% rebate.

I don't think our cards or terminals support it at the mean time.

At China, they also need to key in PIN.

I think using pin number is safer than signature. Hopefully this will be implemented by then.

I tot PIN number only for ATM ?? withdraw from oversea ??

PIN number is needed when the situation is swiping the card in China, not only for ATM ??

I remembered swiped with HSBC card that no PIN number is required, but it was 3 years ago

Credit card issued at China and used in China will have PIN input when you perform a swipe.

We're not talking about our cards.

Our cards are not supporting this feature at the mean time.

It is common practice, they want to push sale, just don't activate the other card you don't need

You can still reject it if you are determined and they will succumb to you.
