Is hsbc amanah still based on calendar month for cashback ?

Today HSBC telemarketing sales offer me to apply Live+ card.

It comes with free for life annual fee & RM150 cashback (with spending condition). It's my 4th card from HSBC. Need consolidation of existing less useful card.

Recently, I was charged an annual fee on my travel1 card. I contacted customer service to request a waiver, but unfortunately, they declined. They explained that even if I cancel the card, I’d still need to pay the annual fee upfront. Has anyone else faced a similar issue? If so, how did you manage to get the fee waived? Last year, I spent around 15k, which falls short of the 5k needed for automatic waiver.

If you've already charged to your card after the annual fee was charged, you're out of luck.

this year hsbc so strict, no sst cashback, AF waiver given even threaten to cancel the card. Cancelled all the card, hoping can get better NTB reward next time

So far I have no issue with AF waiver & sst cashback. For sst cashback, I just called to request for loyalty rebate and with 3 transactions, they will credit the rm25 into account. This applied to my supplementary card too.

they say they waive my AF already, thats y cant give sst waiver. No any promotion etc to offset SST lol

It really depends on the CS who attended to your case. Today, I called again, and this time, the CS helped me cancel without asking me to pay the annual fee.

Most likely due to u still have other card with them, so, no need to offer any retention package to u as u r still their existing cardholder

Or check his usage. Low usage, waste time to retain. Just terminate those not provide revenue to bank

for visa signature, is topping up shopee or lazada wallet considered as online transaction?

I got this offer as well but oledi 2 months i don't receive the rebate.

They will credit only after 60 days. My SST is end of July, I get it in like Oct normally.

You can actually cancel the card and combine it to another card within same bank?
