Hi guys, I got Amanah Mpower. The grocery cashback, is it solely the four outlets listed (Aeon, Tesco etc), or can be from any grocery store under the same MCC (e.g. Speemart)

I'm thinking of cancelling HSBC Mpower Amanah. Not worth the cashback. Just curious, if I do call them to cancel, will they have any "offer" to keep me? Like some bonus one-off cashback? I have used the card as my sole credit card over the last 3 yrs.

I don’t use grab. Touchngo, I just found out can link the card to the ewallet.

I see the promo reset monthly. Is it too late to get it for April?

Also, for special promo cash back like the touchngo, do you get double cash back? Meaning, RM15 per the promo for RM100 top up, plus the regular 1%/8% ewallet cash back?

Only certain ewallets qualify. Also, everyday cashback is on a calendar month basis, not statement cycle.

Guys I am confused with my HSBC Amanah credit card.

My cycle is from 19th to the following month 18th.

The regular cashback and bonus cashback, is it based on calendar month or cycle month periods?

Cause in Jan and Feb 2021, I had spent RM1.5k in late January and a further RM1.5k in early February (on a calendar month basis, both were below RM2k). But I do not get the bonus cashback reflective of above RM2k spending for the cycle month period.

Is it the case cashback is computed on calendar month? Cause it seems so but then why are statement cycles different. Makes everything confusing.

The bonus is only posted around 7th of the following month...

Yes later you will see another RM15. Your total cashback RM19

Let’s say my statement balance as at 20 April 2021 is RM1800.

I make no further transactions after this date.

Then on 28 April 2021 I get RM5 cash back, and 7 May 2021 I get further RM2 cash back.

When I make my payment on 8 May 2021, do I have to pay RM1800 or RM1793?

If apply directly from HSBC website, is 1st year annual feee waived? Say for the Mpower Amanah Platinum card

Beware of Ringgitplus scammers. More often than not, they will buat bodoh and not give you what you're entitled to unless you bamboo them about it. Must call/email and chase them, then only susah susah dapat. Padahal, should be given automatically lah upon fulfilment of T&C. I myself last year have to chase them, same with other people I know.

I don't understand why/how banks work with scummy Ringgitplus to be honest. But if you can fight for your rights, not too bad. You can easily get RM500 to RM800 vouchers. Just don't go for those where you can win iPad/iPhone all...that one very hard to percaya.

Someone told me that they count on people forgetting/not reaching out, and they pocket that for themselves.

Did you enable USB debugging?

Any idea if the T&G eWallet credit is like normal credit that can be transferred out / invested? Or is it a special type of credit that can be only used for spend?

Appreciate if any past Ringgitplus applicants who received T&G ewallet credit can share their experience.

I can't login to HSBC online banking and mobile app. Previously had a CC, cancelled. Recently applied for new one. Each time I log in, I get auto logged out immediately. CS can't fix the damn issue. Anyone else face it?
