Anyone know whether we still can access our internet banking account for dbs/posb when we're overseas? Does the iB Secure device still works overseas?

Haven't bring it out of SG even once. Going to... Wondering doh.gif

called them today to ask for the status, they said it is their problems regarding the rejection for the EP as they clarify that my documents ( certs ,transcripts etc)are sufficient.

The HR help me resubmit again.

Hello guys, i juz recently got an offer to work at Singapore. The basic salary offered was SGD2000. I'm currently working at puchong with a basic salary of RM2200 + OT claim (average around RM400-RM500). The question is, is it worth to take the job with that salary in Singapore?

the device should work everywhere.. it doesn't need a connection to work..
its programmed with algorithm that matches the server side.. so it will work..

Calculate your expenses in SG, see how much you save and see whether its worth it or not. 2k sgd is a bit tough in SG if you plan to rent a room here IMO.

Guys, out of topic. I'm planning to apply credit card in Singapore. I will be having appointment for the PR application on 30th January. So by February I should be able to get the PR. Which credit card is hotcake right now? Mainly for cashback, petrol subsidize not required. Anyone has any experience on this? Thanks. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

UOB One card for cash rebate, about 3% and some % for oversea transactions. For other cards, you can apply them, get the freebies, cancel them before expiry date, wait for sometime and redo the process for new freebies.

But recently UOB is quite quiet on the vendor promotion, unlike recently OCBC and Citybank card. But I still try to compare between UOB and Citybank Card.

360 only worth if I have 3 bills to pay every month, and minimum transaction must be $600 per month, if not there will be a fix cash back rate of only around 1.4% ( if my memory serves right) for all.

Say, if i'm gonna apply for PR, they'll need six months salary slips right. Possible to use the first three months from my current co+1 month gap (no salary)+3 months from my new employer?

Just bring the IPA letter, your passport and money for registration. I forgot whether a recent photo is required. BTW everything should be listed along with the IPA letter. Congratulation!

Congrats. You need to minimise your expenses.
Try to share a room unit with someone else, then your rental will be around $400 only.
Minus all other expenses, I think you can still save $1k a month which is pretty good.

May I know how old are you and what kind of job is it?

Confirm it will work, just be vary on the roaming part (SMS verification) as the SMS might be delayed reaching your phone when it is roaming. Once the SMS reached me (around 4 minutes) already time out when I was overseas.
