Confirm it will work, just be vary on the roaming part (SMS verification) as the SMS might be delayed reaching your phone when it is roaming. Once the SMS reached me (around 4 minutes) already time out when I was overseas.

Just bring the IPA letter, your passport and money for registration. I forgot whether a recent photo is required. BTW everything should be listed along with  the IPA letter. Congratulation!
*
Yes the photo is required for IC i believe, also if the medical report was not done within 2 years before the appointment, you will need to do another medical checkup again. If not, just fill up the form will do.

You can register with BEM even without any working experience as long as you've received your degree cert. but that's for Graduate Engineer registration.
For Professional Engineer aka IR, you'll need at least 1 year of local experience before you can register. That's the case the last time I checked with them, but that was quite some time ago..

I see! As far as I am concerned, you have no power over the EP application other than providing the correct details and sufficient documents. Keep us updated and all the best!

another point to add on, your experience will only be counted from the day you've registered with BEM.

1 year working experience in Malaysia still a requirement for PE.
Better register as Graduate Engineer soonest, else u will waste all ur working experience. Just like rawrkun said.
If registered as PE in SG, still have to retake PI in Malaysia after registering and also fulfill the same requirements.
Then only u qualify as PE in Malaysia and can sign off drawings.

Any clubfitt gym goers here? Which branch do you usually go to and hows the place? My personal favorite is Jurong East but its kinda far and I'm looking for other alternatives. I've only been to the ones at TPY, Yishun and Jurong East so far..

Can use Ir. Jit if not in Malaysia? Same thing for doctors, they need countries' MOH to recognize them so they can practice locally or else they become Mr. Jit when travel? hmm.gif

Jurong West branch, which I believe is the largest clubfitt in Singapore. The gym is usually super crowded during weekdays 5pm to 9pm.
