QUOTE(studyboy @ Dec 21 2014, 02:17 AM) I'd personally recommend Singtel but M1 and Starhub are fine too. I believe all telcos offer a 2 year contract with 2GB of data if memory serves. As for accommodation, how much are you prepared to dish out for rent? I would imagine the rentals for accommodation in the vicinity of Tanjong Pagar to be quite expensive! for telco I would prefer starhub compared to singtel.. M1 is totally out of the question.. my first line was with singtel.. but the signal is always not strong enough to give me 4g.. and I cant even surf a single thing in MRT (north south line).. after I changed to starhub.. I get 4g most of the time.. and also pretty good signal in trains (LTE mostly) and I can surf freely.. on top of that.. I think starhub is cheaper than singtel.. so I never regret switching to starhub and can consider 1 of the best decision I have made here in sg.. p/s: probably this also depends on where u move around.. for me.. city area + toa payoh.. QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Dec 30 2014, 11:34 PM) Anyone know whether we still can access our internet banking account for dbs/posb when we're overseas? Does the iB Secure device still works overseas? Haven't bring it out of SG even once. Going to... Wondering the device should work everywhere.. it doesn't need a connection to work.. its programmed with algorithm that matches the server side.. so it will work..

QUOTE(eiffel98 @ Jan 8 2015, 10:34 PM) Can consider Raffles Money Change Pte Ltd located at #20-03 Raffles Place Clifford Centre. Only SGD10 service charge per transaction (any amount) with competitive ex rate. QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jan 8 2015, 11:09 PM) 10SGD Then probably should go for CIMB. Anyone here is using remittance instead of cash? Safe to use? Worried about carrying money back in cash, worried about kena con when changing money (in cash), also worried about kena con by remittance. So much worries remit 20k at there then the 10 sgd is waived..

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jan 8 2015, 11:41 PM) Just started working for 4 months can get 20k? 5k per month? I not so "elite" lo Ya but i probably transfer just 1000~2000 each time. If that's the case, 10SGD = ~RM26, CIMB rate can be RM0.026 lower if I transfer 1000SGD yet still getting the same amount or can be RM0.013 lower if I transfer 2000SGD. And it's done through bank so most probably safe. Yesterday when rate goes up to 2.65 I saw someone post on FB cimb giving 2.64XX. So if that's the case probably I should consider opening CIMB account Btw... They always use Raffles? pool with trusted ppl den easily hit 20k..
