While we discussing about pros and cons being Singaporean, what is the pros for keeping Msia citizenship?

1. cheaper property. By renting out your Singapore HDB when you retire, You can live comfortably in Msia and even go for travel twice a year.
Bro, only singaporean can rent their hdb leh, you just gave me another reason to convert...

2. health care is a lot more cheaper in Msia compare to SG.
How true is this? Unless choosing government hospita. For me the cost is really medical insurance which i feel almost comparable in both sides.

3. Msia houses are mainly landed property which you can enjoy your gardening during your retirement.
Being a Malaysian doesn't help me to get discount leh cry.gif

I heard the locked one room no longer working. HDB will require the landlord to occupy the room. My friend who recently relocated to USA facing this problem. He cannot rent his flat because of the MOP and the worse part is he is not fulfilling the MOP as he is not considered occupying the flat for this period.

Just bring the IPA letter, your passport and money for registration. I forgot whether a recent photo is required. BTW everything should be listed along with the IPA letter. Congratulation!

$4K including cpf, does that mean if one day you get the PR then you need to contribute back to the cpf from your own salary. That will be 36% pay cut sweat.gif

It's pre-agreed with the landlord and stated in a TA that I will be searching for a third person to occupy the third (and currently vacant) room.

The tenancy is starting in April (as stated) and although it's no business of yours, no, i have yet to sign the TA but I have already paid a first month's deposit and am signing within this week.

Either way, I say this for the final time, I am not subletting.

Anyone can share how much would it cost to purchase a cheap HDB at SG? Is it affordable for families with household income of 6-8k?
*
Very affordable but eligibility is the problem. I presume you are not Singaporean. In order to be qualified to purchase RESALE flat, you need to form a family which BOTH husband and wife must be PR for more than 3 years.

Prepare 30% of the flat price for down payment, ABSD, etc.

Enjoy most of my working time in SG so far... Good food, Good colleagues and new friends. The only thing that I don't really like is the crowded MRT during the peak hours. =.="

If you eat in kopitiam, definitely not good food la. Even in KL, if you eat in hawkers (which mostly cooked by banglas and myanmars), is not good also.

If you eat in restaurants, confirmed better than KL. Even McD is better taste than KL, trust me.

I have to agree that premium restaurant serve quality food but poor engineer like me probably afford only once a week or even once a month. But can't agree with McD. McD probably the most standard taste fast food chain, I taste the same even in the USA except that I miss ayam goreng mcd that only available in Msia.

But there are few hawker food that I tak boleh tahan Sg style e.g. BKT, prawn noodle, wanton mee, and KL hokkien mee cry.gif

I just received an interview invitation on 27th evening at Changi. I have some question to ask,

1.I am from Seremban. Issit easier for me to go on my own transport, or using public transport (bus, flight, etc...)
2. Do I need a pasport, bcoz its just 1 day. Bcoz I heard there is special pass for Malaysians, if they go there just for a day.

Thats all, thank you...

Take bus from Terminal One to Sg (most buses stop at Beach Road) will take you around 5 hours.
