I'm looking to translate my Malay Birth Certificate to English. Can I do this at the Malaysian High Comm?

Thanks for the input! It's for PR application..so that means the birth cert doesn't hv to be translated even though it's in Malay?

I'm actually hopping for 4 months coz I know some people that managed to get theirs within that time frame.. just no sure how common it is or maybe just for a few exceptional case..

I got mine approved recently..Applied end of Jan 2015, noticed the approval via ienquiry mid Aug. Received letter early Sep. There sure took their own sweet time to send the letter. They only sent out after I have sent an email to ask.
The timeframe for approval varies from case to case. Another colleague of mine who applied slightly earlier than me took 7 months to receive the letter.

Why they need so long to process the application? I got mine in 2 months, submit application form until I get my IC. Planning to apply for dependent PR this December for my wife, what are their criteria now? Income? Housing? Babies?

*shrugs* and the colleague who took 7 months till approval is a very qualified candidate..NTU Bachelor till PhD, Asean Scholarship holder, and we both work in the area where the emphasis is now (knowledge based industry)...Still took so long..
