QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Dec 27 2014, 03:32 PM) havent clarify with the HR yet regarding the reason as the new co was closed during friday . just my second job tho, the first job in sg , i guess the salary part does not meet the requirement. but based on the SAT ( self assssmnt tool ) at the MOM website , i am eligible but for sure that is only assumption Did you apply the EP on your own? If anything, I think your employer should help you sort this out.

QUOTE(Lester1987 @ Dec 26 2014, 08:31 PM) 1. cheaper property. By renting out your Singapore HDB when you retire, You can live comfortably in Msia and even go for travel twice a year. 2. health care is a lot more cheaper in Msia compare to SG. 3. Msia houses are mainly landed property which you can enjoy your gardening during your retirement. question here if re-entry permit expires, still considered PR? cause retire = no income...i doubt ICA will renew the REP so if REP expire, no longer PR...how to hold the HDB?

Rental income under personal income = pay personal income tax. Assume income is the major factor ICA look at for renewal of REP. Other way is CEO cum CFO cum COO cum CXO of crazykid pte ltd, turnover 100mil, but overhead 99.97mil, just pay minimum tax for 30k. Pay another few hundred to find ppl make your account look good good. Or join some companies as sleeping director, each month receive some salary by parking your name there.

REP can be renewed online before it expired, and is usually approved immediately, done that for my whole family, and remember to save the digital copy so you can reprint it when needed. if it expired, then have to go to ICA with employment letter from employer, and is renewable on the same day, happened to my colleague. he forgot that his REP expired, and is blocked from using the automated clearance when he tries to go JB.

You can consider opening in ocbc. For their ocbc 360 account they give you 1% interest if you credit your salary. For WiFi you have to subscribe though telco. Performance will be similar to 3g/4g you get on your phone. OK for streaming video but If u want play game may have latency issue. I doubt your landlord will let you subscribe land line as cabling work is required

Anyone working with PPL shipyard?
I just got offered for commissioning eng. Position. They offered me 3.4k with 8 dollars OT cap at sgd200. Others quite standard.
Package is not great. I am still looking else where for better offers. I have 5 years exp in o&g.
What do you think guys?

Since you are claiming to have O&G experience why not join major refineries like Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, SRC, Singas, JAC or something similar? Why settle for crappy package? Unless by saying you have 5 years exp in O&G is actually on vendor/supplier side, which amounts to almost, nothing.

Keep us updated and all the best!

QUOTE(avengers88 @ Dec 30 2014, 10:14 AM) what happened after EP is approved ? I need to go MOM to get the physical card ? U hv to MOM at Clarke Quay to register your thumb print and take photo. After 2-3days, the EP Card will send to your company. so u just collect the card from your HR.
