QUOTE(kesvani @ Jul 29 2025, 10:32 PM) Sometimes I curious some people willing to waste time planning expense and spend thousand of ringgit just for 50-80 cashback. Is it really worth the effort. some people really have that expenses every month. so they may want to max the cashback

QUOTE(kesvani @ Jul 29 2025, 10:32 PM) Sometimes I curious some people willing to waste time planning expense and spend thousand of ringgit just for 50-80 cashback. Is it really worth the effort. Usually people do it with a group of cards, eg last year i earned 7k cashback , with few lounge access. Maybe 7k is not big for you, but that's around 583 MYR per month, and lets say if you use 5% dividend rate, it's equal free 140k capital generating passive income for you.

QUOTE(kesvani @ Jul 29 2025, 10:32 PM) Sometimes I curious some people willing to waste time planning expense and spend thousand of ringgit just for 50-80 cashback. Is it really worth the effort. I mean you do your planning once, then month by month it becomes second nature. Obviously, it makes most sense if the spending is based on your organic spending. You don't simply change or increase your spending habits to maximize cashback. If you do that, you've lost.

It's free money. You gotta spend those money anyway, so why not make extra cash while doing. Besides expenses is planned ahead so that you know that you won't be in a deficit position or overspending.

those that feeling rich will criticize on why you guys keep chasing for cash rebate etc etc.
but when comes to money, every RM50 or RM100 counts.
Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it…he who doesn't……pays it

QUOTE(Lonelybird @ Jul 29 2025, 05:24 PM) Ahh. now i can get the rm50 full from spending at shell station. Thanks for the information. Is not worth it if the item is >10% increased price compared to grocery chains (which is fairly common from my survey). Especially if you have other cards which give cashback for grocery as well. QUOTE(MGM @ Jul 30 2025, 10:02 AM) Not when u spend <1 hour a day, n make > minimum wage, esp for retirees. Each person's time is worth differently to them. Some of us, even if not retired, the way our work is we do have 'down time' in between (not full throttle 9-5). I have had work situations where it was not possible to optimise, in that situation just let go. But when my work situations change then this sort of hobby is more useful than watching some netflix or doom-scrolling news/social media.

RHB send me notification that the missing cashback will be credited by xx date.
However, I do not have any missing cashback. They probably blast it to all customers. Unnecessary confusion.

Yes everything remains the same as previously, for now until further notice. I guess it won't take them too long to come out with a new revision again. QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jul 30 2025, 01:44 PM) bro i have 48 cards and i owe cc in millions... But you also earn millions.
