Is RHB that bad? Last post made was more than two weeks ago. sweat.gif

I actually plan to apply for RHB Platinum. http://www.rhb.com.my/cards/credit-card/cc...tinum_main.html

It offers 4xPPL entries and I have the AEON Gold MasterCard which gives me 6xPPL entries but it looks nicer compared to AEON Gold. I really don't like gold colour card. tongue.gif sweat.gif

Not sure if it is easy to waive the AF? unsure.gif

Not sure if I want to apply for the Plat card. hmm.gif It has AF and I know it's easy to get it waived, that was before GST. laugh.gif

I believe first year is free so I have a year to enjoy it. laugh.gif

A glance through its benefits, not so attractive or am I missing out anything?

I have no time to visit their branch and just clicked "apply now" from its website but it has been more than a month and yet nobody called me. doh.gif

So, I intend to download the form and apply manually. Can I send via email? I have no confidence in fax machine... sweat.gif

Not sure where to find an agent now. sweat.gif

OK then, I will fax to them. sweat.gif
There is 10 minutes approval thingy in KLCC but I really can't find time to go there during working days and they close at 6.00 p.m. sad.gif

Went to KLCC branch during lunch, my card is approved and I already got it. laugh.gif

The CL is the highest of all my cards. My 8th card. sweat.gif

Use first and only worry about the AF next year, if cannot waive then cancel. tongue.gif

Bank officer told me 12x swipe is good enough to waive, for platinum islamic anyway.
*
The lady emphasises it's 36k per annum but others mentioned before it's not difficult to ask for waiver.
I will see how it goes when the time comes.

I have RHB VS, is it possible to apply another Plat to enjoy the lounge access? RHB offers only 4 entries but it's hassle free... unlike other bank need to swipe x amount/times overseas.
*
I don't see why you can't . Didn't try Maybank VS?
Actually the easiest is Aeon Gold Visa, 6 times a year and only need to swipe 12 times to waive AF. laugh.gif

Is KLCC RHB on the spot approval?
*
Yes, 10 minutes approval provided system is fine. Mine was a bit slow, so I went and had lunch only went back. Roughly from application to getting card minus my lunch is about an hour.

Any idea what is the annual fee waiver criteria for  RHB PLATINUM CREDIT CARD?
*
On paper is 36k spending per annum. Every officer tells different things, so I think you will need to check CS.

Not maybank vs, I don't think I want to pay the insane AF. tongue.gif

AEON gold also not quite ideal as they only prOvine KLIA access and I'm from Penang, so RHB  nationwide access is still a better deal. The 4 times access should be independent on each principal card right?
*
I see. Then, RHB Plat fits into your requirements.
Yes, independant.

if anyone received this rhb zalora rm40 discount code but not going to use it, perhaps you may donate to me for me to try whether i am able to use it, or only the owner of the code is able to use it... biggrin.gif

Not yet. I'm still travelling. Will try when I'm less busy.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jun 15 2015, 07:05 AM)
actually the 4% makes no difference or not much difference if you only want to buy within your rm40 promo code.

few things to note:
1) the shopback/milkadeal rebate is based on the amount you paid, excluding rm5 delivery charges (if any)
2) the code cannot be used for sales item (discounted item)
3) there is a rm5 delivery charge for item less than rm75 (amount must be above rm75 after applying promo code to avoid this charge)

examples:
1) if you purchase an item at rm35, plus rm5 delivery charges = rm40. if you use the rm40 code, you pay rm0. so your shopback/milkadeal rebate is also rm0 (rm0 x 10%) or rm0 (rm0 x 6%) = no difference
2) if you purchase an item at rm50, plus rm5 delivery charges = rm55. if you use the rm40 code, you pay rm15. so your shopback/milkadeal rebate will be rm1 (rm10 x 10%) or rm0.60 (rm10 x 6%) = rm0.40 difference
3) if you purchase an item at rm120 and use the rm40 code, there is no rm5 delivery charge as the final amount is rm80. so your shopback/milkadeal rebate will be rm8 (rm80 x 10%) or rm4.80 (rm80 x 6%) = rm3.20 difference
*
Got it. Now I have a clearer picture and if I'm purchasing more than RM 40, then I will go through these affiliate links.

Else, it has no added-value to go through them. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the explanation. biggrin.gif

I still haven't got pin to register online banking... sad.gif

When I applied my card at KLCC that time, the lady said no need can straight register. doh.gif

Came back and noticed need pin to register. Called their CS, need to walk into the nearest RHB branch. doh.gif cry.gif

For now, really not buying anything yet using RHB luckily it is not an attractive card... Only applied for PPL. sweat.gif

The 60 minutes approval for RHB cards are applicable to any of their cards at their klcc card center right?

Might wanna avoid the hassle of waiting 2 weeks for another card to come and I'm eyeing one RHB card for the time being.

Might as well just apply and see approve or not.

Yes.
