Just wondering, I think I did see it once but the thread just somehow dissapeared.
Let's have a discussion group about the Kelisa.

I'm getting the black "Special Edition GX" but the saleslady advised that I wait for the "Limited Edition" or god knows what edition that'll be released on the 17th of March.
So I'mma wait till 17th March and see. biggrin.gif

Got some mods that I'mma get a few mods so I'll need suggestions of good brands;

1. Suspensions.
2. Anti-roll bars.
3. Changing the front lips to something more menacing.
4. Heard the tires are noisy, so if it's really terrible I'll get something that's less noisy.

Do give me some suggestions and recommendations of better models and brands. blush.gif

Any Kelisa owners? thumbup.gif

the number plates are obvious not in the middle if you're using those 2 lines type of plates.

as for the single line plates it's still reasonably middle looking.

i think it's party due to the engine design where the oil filter is slightly off to the driver side. so they need to create a hole for the hands to reach it, so to cover the hole number plate would be mounted slightly off.

It is wiser to get a Kelisa eventhough it is second-hand instead of a brand new Kancil. A Kelisa has much better pickup, more top speed, slightly more larger, more secure, & better handling.

i donno, I'd think that 2 sales rep of the perodua main centre tellin me 17 march come out new design, should be true.
What's your take?

Anyway, I'm gonna read about some turbochargers, apparently they actually provide better fuel efficency and more power (duh~)

i got a kelisa instead of iswara. i got the same question like you last time. 8k differ is quite a sum. just give a test drive of both car.

frankly if space is what you need go for iswara. comfort in spaciousess but the exhaust noise is another topic, it's too noisy.

if you wanted zippy acceleration, kelisa is the one. seriously it live up to it's 'engineered for fun' motto.

for previous 1.60 per lit fuel it could get me 430 at rm41, mainly at urban driving, lot's of driving through major traffic jam area entire week.

@andychee81

can u tell me more on kelisa . Y u choose kelisa not iswara? u said u have the same question too. But now i facing the same things. rm 8k diff.

kelisa have twincam (fuel injected), power windows, alram system, center lock, sport rim, PS and is Auto. but for the price of rm 40k

Iswara got nothing as what i describe and is using good old days carburator method. But for a price tag at rm 32kxx and the rim like spare rim from the back of your boot.

what u guys think.

can anyone impress me on getting kelisa? plan to get it 2day either kelisa 1.0 (a) or iswara

thanks

well i thing for sure i would prefer new tech than old tech. it got power steering, 2 power front window and in built nokia handsfree. f/c is better, better acceleration and easy to navigate in tight areas. i'm living in an urban area so i would hardly travel on highway. did went to johor and penang with it. high speed some could reach more than the meter could show(new edition one heard got speed cut at 140kmph) but not recommended it's power steering would be too 'floaty'. most importantly i'm assured the quality control is slightly better, not too sure on current QC on proton but last time proton qc and warranty was very bad.

i having the se old model manual. recommended take manual instead of auto. but then it's stll up to your preference. sometimes kelisa on auto also scary fast.

better make sometime test drive both cars instead of relying on opinions. it's the best way to compare them.

because savvy is protong and shouldn't be given half a consideration.

terence, if you try both cars, which I did (I drive the Iswara aeroback) and you'll feel the handling of the kelisa, much nippier even with stock stuff.

The pickup, considerably better albeit it's merely an auto.
The fuel consumption is also better, and in the long run your wallet will thank you for it.
I mean, 1L-15KM min. How many cars do that rite?

Also, got a better future resale value. Kelisa for me.
RM8K, I think you can handle it.

If I were u, i would choose kelisa if your max budget is 41k. Drove Iswara, Kelisa and even Savvy before. Iswara is a no no for me. The version i drove is a power steering-less one. It is like turning with a flat tyre. The engine is noise is terrible and the build quality is below average. While the kelisa is fun to drive and it have low end touque make it one of the car that have best pick up ever. Build quality is better than iswara but the cabin space is quite cramp. But if u are willing to splash out a few Ks more, i advise u to get a savvy. It have better built quality than the iswara and does not looks plasticy at all. IMO, the quality is better than the iswara more. I am not too sure bout the FC but i recon is between the kelisa and iswara. So is up to you. For me is either Savvy or Kelisa. No No to the potong iswara. You are buying a 80'ies car in 2006.

Edit : sorry pizzaboy for going off topic a little tongue.gif

hmm.. between the new proton Iswara and Kelisa, Id choose the kelisa. Its fun to drive and not to mention the low end torque. Auto version of kelisa having a pretty bad fuel consumption. Ever since fuel price increased 30cent, I always keep my eyes on the reve meter.. lol..
My fren drove his father's Civic 1.7 and when he borrowed my car, he said its much funner to drive with kelisa rather than his own father's Civic.. laugh.gif
And the best part is, its pretty simple to park this car, bcos of the size.
For ppl that having height more that is taller, I dont reccomend kelisa. biggrin.gif

@ terencetoo
the stock cd have in built nokia handsfree, if you change it you won't able to use it. but then i'm using sony ericsson....i changed to better ones.

air con. no prob with it. the vents are quite close to the passenger in front.

full tank would be 45lit.

the saga design was taken from mitsu previously. it's a tech transfer kind of deal.

It happens.
yep~
The slightly better thing about it, is that it doesn't usually skip when you go through bumps.

hmm.. yea.. kelisa's full tank is 40litre and when the meter reach E, it acctually reserves about 8 litre in the tank for u to get the closest petrol station to refill.. (been through this before..)

cd player? hmm.. my car doesn't have it since its the first batch..

fun car to drive in terms of city driving, looking for a place to park the car, etc..
I think kelisa tends to understeer easily.. especially when raining.. sweat.gif

The first thing worth changing is the springs and the absorbers, but not recomended on a new car. Once changed, car will lowered two inches and cornering is pretty stable , even above 110km/h. No need braking on sharp corners.

Ewww...leather seats are hot.

I've did a bit of reading on the mods for the Kelisa. Recommended ones are;

- Change rims to 15" (RM600 and above)
- Front and back strut bars (RM230+)
- Replace the entire suspension system (RM900+-) Apex springs go for RM1500 alone. I don't think I'll recommend Apex.
- Voltage stabilizers+Grouding kits (RM300)
- Open pod air filters (RM300)

- Turbocharger? I donno the cost of this, but I do know it's really fun to have one.

15" for kelisa is rather heavy, it's optimal would be at 14". unless you can afford lightweight 15".

the ori suspension is good nuff unless you go for somewhat spirited driving and dun care less on comfort or passengers go for springs, i've tred from kimex, dr.spring, t-speed, h&r, eibach, eventually you'll have to change your absorber too using them. for now i'm using adjustables where by there's still comfort yet same handling as spring mod onli. if got cash save up and go full blown adjustables, adjust the comfort and handling up to your liking. you got titan and hwl to choose

VS and grounding can be for last mod, not much differ as i felt, opt for extractor and rear end piping. go for powerzone or hotbits. try not those cap ayam ones.

open pod once again not recommended for kelisa unless you can route the air from outside as the open pod would be usually sitting directly behind the radiator, no matter what heat shield you put also will suck some hot air from it. there's one piping named hurricane where the ram connects from the trottle body to the eft hand side far away from the raidator, but then i see the tubing is rather huge and there's 180 turn after the trttlebody, might slow down the air flow speed. try sucking a drink from a huge straw and have 180 turn, and another one smaller size. you'll get what i mean. recommended is using drop in types ie. pipercross or KNN.

turbochargers well for bolt on gonna set you back bout 1.5k+. boosting would be limited to small range. dunno bout you, but i seen many guys complaint bout their bolt on not performing like they expected and they sold it off.

enjoy your fishy mods~~~~

whoo.....kewl~
Lidat dunit waste time at ZTH ler, I shud've just asked you.

Any mods u can recommend for the MYVI? The number.1 mod I'm goin for is definitely removing the world's most horrendous ass bumper with something much slimmer.

Then I'll be goin for set of 15" rims and strut bars. Anything for the engine perhaps?
It's a lame car, I agree...but my dad wants to use it as a family cruise car as well. Bah!!
And we could've saved like 10K just buying me a second hand modified Civic EG with a the 1.6 DOHC V-tec engine. I could've had 200 ponies, and now I'm down with about 80 ponies. cry.gif

strut bar you got zenden and ultraracing to choose from. both tested they are good products.

those VS and grounding only give tiny amount of improvement. so better use your money on other things first.

open pod. well kelisa engine bay is pretty cramped and open pod drectly from the trottle body is not ideal as the hot air from the radiator finds it's way to it, hot air=no good. you can use a cold air intake hose from the front grill to the filter to rectify it. i would recommend use those replacement types instead of open pod.

seriously i'm still in learning process, better head to kelisaclub.com and ask the guys there.smile.gif

As for the springs, you doesn't need to purchase those expensive like Koni, Titan, and so forth. Just get those entry level like Kayaba, APM, etc, coz the kerb weight of a Kelisa is very light compared to other sedan cars.

APM = Kayaba

entry level they give sligth improvement but still not up to a level of mid range or higher range of brands, it's just feel like original just bout 10% stiffer. each ppl got differ handling 'feeling' i dislike bodyroll yet hate bumpy feeling.

no doubt APM performax range gives me back some comfort i need when i'm using progressive springs like H&R.

rather than trial and error between spring and absorber it's very hard to match each spring with a correct brand of absorber, full set adjustables is cheaper in long term.

A good recomendation from andychee... about the turbo stuff, if u like the psstttttt sound then its something nice to try but its a bit expensive and the power u gain is not worth it all... try to do the mods like what andychee suggested and u can smile for what u spend.

i'm no guru, but i'm giving my honest non bias opinion on products i've used on my car b4. higher speed need better brakes.

if you wanted to keep the stock calipers you can change your disc to axt cross drill/slotted ones and match it with EBC pads. fast braking response but overheat darn easy, good nuff for urban roads but not on downhill speeding it seems this combination like the disc heats up the pad much easier than stock disc with EBC. i'm not sure bout bendix, but it's claimed to have a very good braking and it's affordable BUT!! long term your disc will be skimmed much faster, i've seen it on my friend's car.

if you wanted something bigger and just PnP, caliper and disc you can use L9 ones, you got project u pads and sumitomo ori pads to choose from and i've just received a tip that myvi ones also can be put on the car w/out modding anything, you got normal pads and endless pads to choose from.

or just get those steel braided hose and change your brake fluid to DOT4 and above. changed your braking feeling. much direct feel no spongy effect.

and drive safely. smile.gif

not to say kelisa not good.

just the waiting list for myvi too long. not worth of getting 1.0 myvi with rm 41k.

i know kelisa 1.0 Auto cost rm 41k too. but IMO. if u need a car within 10 days, kelisa still the best option for those fresh graduate or low average income ppl like me.

Imagine u have to fork out extra rm 5k to get kenari/myvi instead of kelisa. Although rm 5k is not much compare to those ppl who work for so many yrs. But for me, if hard to pay the monthly installment which is so high. Dont forget u still have to put at least 10% downpayment for the car.

So kelisa still worth of getting although the price a bit pricy. IMHO~~

for my opinion rm 1k is not ez to save.

coz i plan to take SE too...but it cost extra rm 900 compare to standard kelisa.

the skirts already cost rm 800 ..~~

If u wanna to save trouble going shop to shop to get the bodykits and paintjob to save couple of ringgits, mind getting the SE lo~~

now im searching for the SE bodykit.

p/s I like white too but is not in the EZ list. only in EX

mine is just the 1st special edition blue in colour. but using the 2nd special edition spoiler. noting much. smile.gif

yyea those SE ori parts are pricey, why not try using jazz or the 1st edition fibre non ori sideskirt? better to the wallet i think.

it's bumifibre, also known as skyline shop.

well rm170 is okay but workmanship.....lain cerita one. i got my front grill from them workmanship quality is very low. too much rough surface even after waiting 4hrs to sand them. not to mention there's this organic spoiler(civic mugen EG lookalike) custom made to fit kelisa, i got mine way off the centre bout 2cm. telling them to re-do it need more money.....

my advise only buy from them if you can't find other places who sell the particular part then touch up at other places.

hey guys....i got a tip for those using standard 13" rims n wanna stick to that size... look for proton standard 13" sport rims...

i broke 2 of my stock 13" sport rims about a week ago (pothole vmad.gif) and changed to the satria sport rims. due to the fact that the rims are wider than the stock perodua rims, it has managed to reduce the tyre wall flex when taking corners....making it much much nicer for some spirited driving... makes the car look better too!! also, if u change to these rims...im pretty sure that changing the tyres to 175/50 13 will reduce it even further. only thing is lesser protection for ur rims due to the thinner tyre wall. and lesser comfort too due to the same fact.

my car has less than a month old goodyear tyres in the front and >2 year old silverstone tyres in the back...and looking at them...id say the goodyear will be a better match for these rims compared to the silverstone in terms of reducing tyre wall flex.

with the stock rims going up n down frasiers hill in a spirited manner was a pain...tyre wall was flexing to the point where it makan the side of the tyres...sweat.gif just waiting for another chance to go up there again and REALLY test out the car with the new rims brows.gif

btw, im driving a stock standard kelisa auto with ZERO handling improvement mods...not even a single add on bar on the car thumbup.gif

as for the white kelisa (KBF 74)...anyone knows where i can get those rims in 15"?? the original VR is friggin rare...so rare that ive only seen 2 cars use it. 14" version ive seen on a few kelisas. love the idea of 4 spokes in the front and 5 spokes in the back.... if got the taiwanese version oso i think i might wanna angkut (pending approval from my financial controllers of course sweat.gif)

depends on what kind of cuore bumper u want

Injection, -200
UK-Spec, - 400
Turbo(TR) - 2000 (the bumper with FOG light)

that is just "BUMPER" ok, without paint, halfcut condition

normally ppl sell this as set

FRONT HEADLIGHT 2pcs, 2 FENDER, 1 HOOD, 1 BUMPER
- RM1300-RM1400 use Injection bumper
- RM1600-RM1800 use UK Spec Bumper
- RM3000-RM3500 use Turbo Bumper

- Mira Gino usually cost around RM2,500-RM3000 <-- if the garnish w/o foglamp

get Falken ZE326, eventho the design is quite old, but the material use is kinda good, grippy, and affordable too, just around rm120 for 165/55 R14. hardly get screeching tires using this falken.

oh.. the thread seem gone quite fast is the compound is soft.

but from the price over performance ratio i think falken is the best compare to the others brand such S/STONE PowerBlitz1800 and Simex 8200... this 2 is sucks a lot man.

i used falken ziex 326 previously, before the RE030.
soft compound tyres. good grip all round. but cepat botak.
i give up on "silent" tyres already. our kelisa got bad NVH..... everything outside also can hear.

-->Spray + Install

Budget +- rm 650 max can fork out rm 700 tip top

Besider Bumifibre where else can i get kelisa bodykit tat is good material? not brothers those cacat bodykit. (heard many ppl said they are bad)

Prefer Pj area coz i staying at pj.

not that bad la
other shop worse..
maybe bumi the best among the bad...lol
their workmanship ok lorr..maybe sometimes bad because the customer ask them to install in a hurry...
my advice...dun rush them to do the bodykit for u
just let them do their work..and make sure u watch them install the bodikit..
later if u not satisfy u can tell them straight away
but u can try redzone motorsport..in puchong perdana
check their website
or beside racing fit got 1 fibre shop..but i nvr been there

oh.. the thread seem gone quite fast is the compound is soft.

but from the price over performance ratio i think falken is the best compare to the others brand such S/STONE PowerBlitz1800 and Simex 8200... this 2 is sucks a lot man.
*
Aisey, mine came stock with Powerblitz. Darn.

I'm wondering. How much would it cost to put in those SE bodykits? I read soemwhere back that they were expensive, but they sure look good.

hey guys....something pop in my mind today. Regarding about adding bodykit or ICE?

which one worth it to mod first?

My car 2moro 1 month old. Will it void the warranty if mod bodykit/ change cd player??

Budget rm 600 for either one

p/s: Change Cd player n add replace 2 original speakers from the boot. ( the sound not clear enough like something blocking at the speakers)

All I remove(HU, front and back) and reuse from my previous car audio setup which already wonderful(personal selection).

Quality of course obviously different already.Brand? look for your budget but avoid chapalang. Low end HU hould be ranging from Pioneer to....bla bla bla rfer to ICE thread.

I'm just advising you dont get ambitious mod to your new car. Enjoy 1st lah. I dont intend to mod my car at least 1 year..see how thing goes around 1st. Technically my audio setup warranty died(...and I dont care)

You should purchase 2nd hand if you already plan for modification. Some more can save money for modding when purchase second hand.

dont know anyone ...how to get second hand after kena con man..

n i need a car urgetn to get to work...

so kelisa brand new one is the fastest i assume.

so now...dono how...

if add bodykit.....they will screw some hole in my cars...heart pain for my new car and mostly the bodykit are fibre made scared i pecah the front lips....if dont add bodykit...looks so plain.... doubt

If play ice....just 1 2 change player or maybe change the stock speakers behind. Now i dono iz the stock speakers behind not good (sound not clear..something blocking) or the OEM perodua cd player not good...so plan to pump rm 400 for cd player.

Act i have another plan. Get Original SE spoiler from perodua rm 300 n change the cd player. At least i have something. Hand itchy coz salary day next week.

Wonder do they sell 1 spoiler itself at perodua?? ....

Thanks...for my fussy decision.

i think the size of the front speaker is 5". i have the alpine type s 6.5" comps in my front door of my kelisa. but u just cant pasang like that...u need to add a baffle to it ( a sort of wooden 'washer' to bring it out abit so that the magnet wont hit the window).

keep in mind that not all 6.5" comps can fit in the front door without cutting the door panels. when u buy u gonna have to get one that has a small magnet. the type s i have fits nicely into the door and i dont have to cut the door panels.... ngam ngam fit.

i also tried the alpine type r 6.5" comps but it just wouldnt fit. if wanna fit have to cut the door panels. ive also heard of people installing the type x in it without cutting door panels.

so when u buy front 6.5" comps u have to make sure of whether or not ur willing to cut the door panels...if not then u have to find ones that has small magnets moneyflies.gif

i've seen a kelisa with the 15" white rims (from the blue savvy), suits quite well... i think there is no clearence issue..

6.5jj have bit of issue, you might hit the rear absorber plate. easily be corrected with the use of spacer or just call the mech to flatten out the protruding plates on the rear.

3 out of 5 had the same issue on kelisa, including myself, im using 14" 6jj

trade old kelisa grill with mesh grill. FOR FIRST MODEL KELISA ONLY(the smiley face/D-shape one)

this one is from BUMI, bought at rm100. it's the one somewhat like EK ones deep mouth.

the mesh wires is 2-2.5cm at the back of the frame, NOT those Brother's one 0.5cm from the frame cost rm60++.

spray painted blue, it's still rough at a few sections, i do not have time to finish up the detailing.

exhange only. not selling coz i dun have my ori, it cracked due to accident.

PS : ohh yeah please find a way to take out your ori grill's screws first b4 trading coz i till now dunno how to open them.

Change mine at around 83K millage as i get it as a second hand.
Advisable to change to below 100k millage.
80k should be ideal.

yeah 15 inchers ere. well basically u cant get your "km" like 14 inchers. depend on the weight of your rims. mine is work emotion cr 15'. can't really remember the offset but its 15x6.5jj. just nice to fit in to our kelisa. im using T-speed with standard abs. Nope.. not using any spacer..the 6.5jj is already just nice. smile.gif your car nampak garang already... laugh.gif

but remember..to use 15" with 6.5jj... need to knock first.if u r using 15'..try to find some good springs so that wont kena the arch of your car. Im sure there r alot of sifus out there... that can help u out bro..

cheers.

i am not surprise on that mileage he is giving..
mine manual manage to get RM43 for 420km...that average 10cent per km..mine is manual.. thumbup.gif

just change gear around 2900 to 3100..and when crusing ..use top gear and dun't go above 100km/h..and one more thing..slowly accelerate...and off the air-con when u dun really need it especially at night or during raining time

as for ya ECU..nothing much you can do..just reset by un-plugging the battery terminal for around 2- 5 mins..then plug back and start ya car..leave it idle for a while..and thats it.. rclxms.gif

those what ever microcompressor..broquet..fuel saver...etc. doesn't work as what you expected. just stick with the basic rule "CONTROL WITH YA RIGHT FOOT".

think again...if such things is giving such great benefit...improve power..save fuel and so on..Why does car makers doesn't include them?..you may think that if by placing this gadget this will bring up the cost of the car...but then again..why are car makers going for more complex development like VVTI..DVVT..I-Vtect...and so on to give u guys better power better fuel usage.

laugh.gif extra injector??? i think u better make sure what u just added dude... coz the only way u can add extra injector into ur stock engine would be to custom make ur intake manifold and also drill a hole in ur engine head.

what i can say is that FC depends on the way you drive and whether you're using auto or manual...auto cars tend to take up 10% more fuel as to manual...

i'm driving manual and usually change gear around 2.8k-3k rpm...hehe...much more fuel efficient than my myvi... tongue.gif

i guess that pretty much accounts for the extra mileage on your kelisa. thumbup.gif good job. as for me, i don't have the obedient driving style like you and would rarely turn off my aircond. top speed is normaly at 110-120. accelerate quick fast. managed to get 380km for rm50 with my kenari manual drive tongue.gif. oh yes, city driving all the way. well i guess it is normal due to my driving characteristic. anyways, i like my kenari. oops... am i off topic now? sh*t.... rclxm9.gif

lol....ty ty....must do my extra bit to keep the earth "GREEN" ma...laugh.gif if i wanna turn on the aircon, i'll normally wait for the engine to heat up first (where the temparature indication is after C) and press my clutch to lower down the rpm to 1k and only then i'll switch on my aircon...according to my dad, he say that this will prolong the battery life of the car and reduce engine strain....

kelisa and kenari not much of a difference under the hood lo...both are essentially the same engine...laugh.gif feel free to talk bout it...haha

yo doomsday..most probaly is cause by water trap between the pipe and the outer cylinder thats cause the corrosion..It seems that you fixing the samething again...which IMHO..the problem will occur again...go to exhaust shop..ask them to potong the tip and re-weld a new aluminium tip..that will last longer and looks much better,.

other than bling bling and a direct invitation for thieves to break into ur car...its a waste of money...ur fish already has a tacho (is urs da 850? and 850 oso still got tacho right??) and u sure wont be needing it to remove the speedcut (which we dont have by the way, unless uve transplanted to another more powderful engine la).

IMHO, i still think its a waste of money for a stock kelisa with just air intake and exhaust mods to fit in these gadgets... u dont NEED all these gadgets if all ur gonna do is mod ur air filter and exhaust.

there will be some gain installing SAFC but does the gain justify the amount and time spent? the engine aint a performance engine to begin with.. more like a fuel saver with good power. unless ur going to tarboh-charge ur stock engine or do some massive mods that involves compression and cams and bla bla bla then diff la.

EDIT: forgot to mention the SAFC will also serve the same purpose as RSM..bling bling and an invite to thieves

i havent done it yet cos im waiting for the car to be back from painting (after i put bodykit) drool.gif ...probably 2-3 weeks i will do so the aircond servicing... rolleyes.gif

if u thinks the aircond is running fine and cold, then for now no need to service ler smile.gif ....the reason why im doing it is becos i have this minor sudden loss of power when the aircond kicks in....probably servicing the aircond will solve this problem, after all i havent done aircond servicing before as well..... whistling.gif

u just tell them do full servicing..charges should be range from RM120 and above.
They will usually pump in new gas and wash the cooling coil which the service guy will take out under ya dash board..just behind the glove compartment.

some ppl they wait until the aircon got problem only go service..but for my case..i service according to mileage. Every 25k just do full service no matter wether is cold or not coz sometimes even the aircon is cold but there is still problem with the aircon.

Fully thumbup.gif with you. SAFC only comes it when u have full upgrade ya performance. If not you will be wasting alot of $$ coz always have to go back and re-dyno eveytime you upgrade a performance part. furthermore, it doesn't give you much difference with our small ciku engine

I think more or less the smokes still can come into our fish....but not until the whole car also covered by smokes of coz tongue.gif
Try check whether you accidentally adjusted the air-cond to take air from outside ? THere is switch on the dashboard that you can slide left or right one...

beebee it's normal for kelisa as our car don't come with aircon filter. another way is to use a sponge cover the closure, you need to open up the dash abit and take out (dunno what's the name, aircon fan box maybe?) to reach it. bad thing is when you open the 'allow air come in' there won't be air, coz it's blocked.

damn i'm not good at explaining this....

the switch is always set to in car air, not all smoke comes into the car la, but it is like you're standing behind some bus or lorry with those smoke, somemore inside the car those smoke cant escape and it is very bad, i think i will get cancer soon shocking.gif

care to explain more? what kind of sponge used? if block the closure if without the air will the air con be overheated?

i wonder why our cars they dun put in the filter as our country here with all those aging car/bus/bikes tend to put out lots of black smoke

yea dun have, seriously there suppose a sliding area for the filter panel but is manufactured closed which originally the coure has. even the SG kelisa guys have to mod it a bit to fit in a filter.

beebee : the mech use the normal sponge to cover it. air con overheat. well dun think so. air cond still cold after 1 year+

it's stuffy ma when i dun turn on the aircon at all when driving, so usually i let some air come in lor, no need to open window. now cannot use that already.

absorber KO. do the compress test then. push the car down and let go, see the car bounce once or few times then only stop, if few times only stop your abs is KO.

-to circulate the air, keeping same 'batch' of air inside your car for long term will bad for health, because of bacterial.
-just my guess: when your aircon is not available, while the outside actually is colder than inside (like when your car is in kampung/cameron), you can switch it to the 'insert air' mode.

@AHBOON

of course a new car would be preferred.... but then again it all comes down to how much ur willing to pay a month and how long u intend to pay. so if ur willing to pay for the new car then go for it by all means...

but if u would like to save a few bucks every month and pay lesser....then get the used car (provided its in thumbup.gif condition)

myself...ive never owned a brand new car before tongue.gif

For me I would prefer new car. Coz the interest is low and the car is in new condition while the 2nd car, the interest quite high and you wouldn't know what happen to the car from the previous owner. If you really wanted to get a 2nd car, better buy it from someone u familiar or trusted.....

im getting kelisa soon...i just wanna ask rite...i check out the perodua website for the price...izzit tht price will be same as i purchase it from the dealer....like those shop selling perodua car and not the HQ....anyway anyone driving the special edition orange color kelisa?if yes wut is the diff with the normal 1.0 manual kelisa?
*
The price should be different from the website coz the dealer's price and the website price are different. IMO, the dealer's price are more cheaper and they do provide some extra thingy like free petrol and etc....

Hey guys, my kelissa just sent for servicing last week, millage is 46000 and age is around 4 years, the perodua staff said must change the timing belt bcoz of millage and age of car, and to fix the engine "very rough" problem but my friends tell me I get con by the staff. After changing the belt and servicing the engine is smoother though.

anyway..the manual is written 100k for timing belt. Most of the SC will ask u to change when hit 70k(want to make $$, so ask u change earlier). best timing change is when 80k -> 85k.

My sister also looking for a Kelisa. So I went to the Perodua, talk with their salesgirl. She said that any booking for 1000 CC in this month entitled for RM1,500.00 discount which will reduce the exact price-rm34k. Interest around 4.1% for 9 yrs. Waiting period 2 weeks only.
But the special edition comes in two colour-orange and red have alot of accessories like two-tone colour leather, bodykit..but the waiting period is around 4 month.

... I don't like my EZi... the gearbox doesn't respond very well to my right foot most of the time. And the fuel consumption is definitely more than my friend's Jazz IDSI, a heavier car with an engine 50% bigger. Should've gotten GXi T_T .

Yeah true also smile.gif . But considering my car's weight and engine size compared to him, it's kind of a really big difference, in a bad way =( . And it seems like the auto FC is also a lot more compared to manual, for the fish's case...

Well, if you want your auto tranny to respond to you, there's really no other choice but to knock down and really give it a kick. I have an auto, too and that's just the way it is. sad.gif

As for FC, you're comparing the 1.0l engine with a bigger and more powerful engine. One with IDSI at that. The Kelisa deosn't have all that engine management stuff, of course lar lose. Even the Vios can give better consumption with more power lar.
But remember the price tag man. The Kelisa comes at half the fcuking price. Whatever you save in fuel, you more than bleed for it in purchase price and interest.

@lonewolf,
You gotta be kidding me. I'm getting 14.4km/litre right now. Damn the auto and manual trannies so big difference, ar? *coughs blood*

Yeah I know what you mean, the 1.5 IDSI engine is just ages more advanced than our EJ-DE, not to mention the CVT =( . I'm disappointed that Perodua didn't at least put the DVVT version though, I'm sure that will make a difference for the Kelisa's FC and torque. And it's true the Vios also consumes less fuel than our auto fish.

Then again I think it's not really our engine, it's the auto transmission which is inefficient. See how big the FC differences are with the manual drivers? biggrin.gif

Mine 16km/l auto(ezi), 4 1/2 years old, 80% HW, 20% SUPERJAM...

Using Perodua semi -syn oil from day 1..

Service every 6-7K.. 5k too fast since travel almost 100km per day..

Shell->Caltex->Project->Now BHP....

CHERAS->KL->PUTRAJAYA->CYBERJAYA...
bumpy ride all the way, the road quality sucks..

ahh..forgot to mention..

Cheras -> 0-40km/h
KL -> 0-40km/h
SUNGAI BESI HIGHWAY -> 100km/h
PUTRAJAYA -> 90km/h
CYBERJAYA -> 100km/h

About RPM, 90km/h for mine is 3Krpm. 100km/h is 3.2Krpm.

I mostly drive in city area, thus the low 13km/L =( . Compared to a manual Kelisa also tested in city areas.

Huh, talk about scratches. I had a bad experience recently too. I stopped at a traffic light and was waiting for the light to turn green when wham. Some bitch hit me from behind. Was a soft bump. I turned around stared at her and she wasn't even looking where she was going. Too busy looking down doing god knows what. Stupid bitch. Luckily nothing visible on my car. Jsut a small gap between the bumper and lights. Or else there would've been hell to pay.

Well our gears four speed as opposed to 5 speed for the manual. Not to mention the torque converter. Well I enjoy the convenience anyways. It's the price to pay for laziness I guess. biggrin.gif

Anyway, to all auto fish drivers out there, any one of you guys experience vibrations and general lethargy in the car performance at around the 2 - 2.5k RPM range? My fish seems to be quite underpowered at that range. I sat in my friends' manual and his doesn't have the same feeling at that RPM range. Any other auto fish drivers experience the same?

QUOTE(sidewinderz @ Oct 18 2006, 11:00 AM)
hmm...my manual is bout 21km/ litre or 0.09cents per KM....speaking bout fuel efficiency... tongue.gif

k3ve is norm 1.3 NA DVVT that's used on myvi
EJ-DE - normal kelisa 1.0 engine.
EJ-VE - normal 1.0 DVVT myvi engine.
ED-DE - normal 850 kelisa/kancil engine.

Dont know whether to get SE Manual or normal GX Manual. Diff of RM4k on selling price. Monthly installment diff about RM40.00. Or should I get the normal GX and then modify it according to what I want? Which 1 is better?

Do you guys aware Kelisa got discount of RM1500.00? How long this discount will last?
I dont think it's really worth to get car in Dec as it will consider as 2006 car and just a month the resale value drop RM3k sad.gif

Air filter better get from outside.. not ori, rm20++ and Last time i bought, so called original lar.. but i doubt so, it coz about RM26..

Everything in perodua service is expensive.. Usually I only buy engine oil from them but now increase from RM47 to RM52 per 3 liter semi-synt, that's y i'm looking for a good engine oil outside.. anyone can recommend?

notthing to pay attention, just check your car base on the check list that they will be giving you. as for the absorber, just use it until is dead. dun waste your $$ when the stock still can be use. once the abs are dead only think what new abs to get.. tongue.gif

the exhaust pipe on my kelisa has started to loosen already. Everytime engine idle or at low gear, can hear the sound 'zhrrrrrrrrrr' like that. How much it cost to replace a new one ? I want to replace it at service center, get all the job done in one trip.

just diy you self, take out the silver casing. then there will be no more zhrrrr sound..it is just a screw...if you replace with a new case, the problem will arise again. The other way is go to any xhaust shop and tell them that u wan a full aluminium exhaust tip. the price depends on design.

hi, i got problem with my aircond compressor
everytime i switch on the aircond, it will make ticking sound
please refer to the video below
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Tr96u_WkAs
see that wheel? it seems losen

i been to a workshop in seri kembangan and the boss kian siew told me that just change the compressor will solve the problem, but he also said that need to clean the aircond pipe as it sure will dirty
the compressor itself cost RM480, and including the labour fee total up to RM640
does the price reasonable? it is really just need to fix the component that he mentioned?

and, there is a few marks on my car's body where knocked by other car's door
any idea to flat it back?

many thanks

may i know where is the ionizer located at?

mine the reverse sensor is freaking noisy when not in the reverse mode.
it's still working fine, but with stupid sound.
i duno if it's ionizer or reverse sensor. there is a power off button.
and it's on the reverse light.

any idea how to completey shut it down?
each time i start the car then that thing will auto in start mode, thus making the noisy sound.
