Question for all sifus

I have the Backup and reset section ticked for

Automatic restore

I have a Huawei Mediapad signed in with the same gmail account. When I did a fullwipe of the Mediapad, the apps I installed would automagically install after a few minutes. I recall uncle benny mentioning this with the Note1 as well.

I've been searching around in xda and other places, can't seem to find this for Note2. All I see is the linked apps from my earlier installs in play store, where I have to click one by one and install.

Anyone has experienced the automagical restore for Note2 ?

Idiot me....I realized I probably HAVEN'T installed anything for this NEW NEW BABY...so maybe that's why it's not working?

But then again, shouldn't this be a persistent backup across devices? Coz in my Mediapad, the apps that I installed on my Note1 will also show up on the Mediapad after a fullwipe.

Unless I missed some checkbox when Note2 was started up the first time.

Just called Maxis and i am eligible for MOC offer but it's not as cheap as we think. 12 months contract with 3gb data plan is RM146 monthly commitment. Breakdown is call RM78 + data RM68! The device is RM1799 I think. Do you think is a good deal?

My average bill is RM120 with miserable 500mb data. I think is ok since I get a new phone. Bigger screen. Maybe more YouTube and surfing. Upgrade 3GB seems alright.

Then, it's ok la. So, anyone to start bulk order for this dual sim adapter for gnote2??

Waze also has the AES and other fixed location traffic cams mapped out. It also has a default 500m warning. Well, since AES shoots you after you've passed, you can still slow down when you see the warning.

tat one your luck la... How to know where those police hiding. Last time highway, they even hide in the road divider between the trees. U wont notice until you pass them later on

Out of curiousity, how does the s-pen work?
There's no battery but there are features like the button on the pen as well as the "hovering" feature.
Where does the power come from? Are there some electronic parts inside?

Nvm, AMAZING technology it is!! Its "powered" by the sensor behind the screen

Briefly:
The Note has a Wacom dual digitizer, a first in a mainstream smartphone. That means is supports both capacitive multi-touch and active pen input from a precise EMR digital pen and a digitizer layer under the screen. Wacom is the world leader in pen based computer technologies and first developed this technology for Tablet PCs for very accurate handwriting level pen use that works with touch displays.

Details:
Almost all other phone styluses are just capacitive and therefore no more accurate than your finger. The Galaxy Note's active pen uses Wacom's EMR patented technology. EMR which stands for Electo-Magnetic Resonance, which requires no internal power to generate a signal on the pen-side that enables the pen coordinates on or above the screen to be detected (the display provides the power rather than the pen). The Note's screen surface incorporates a sensor board that detects the pen's movement. Weak energy is induced in the pen's resonant circuit by a magnetic field generated by the sensor board surface. The pen's resonant circuit then makes use of this energy to return a magnetic signal to the sensor board surface. The digitizer board under the screen detects information on the pen's coordinate position and angle, as well as on its general operating condition including speed and writing pressure, etc.

With EMR Technology, the sensor unit is installed behind the display screen. Because the sensor does not cover the front of the display, the quality and brightness of the displayed image are not compromised.

Wacom's sensors are high precision and high resolution, which together make it possible to detect even small hand-written letters. The sensor traces the movement of the human hand and reproduces such "human" elements as the feel, force and ambivalence of the pen tip.

The dual capacitive multi-touch and EMR active pen technology is called Wacom Feel It and was developed and honed over 2 years on major ( HP, ...) Tablet PCs. The Galaxy Note is the first use in a smart phone.

It is based on Wacom digitizer technology. It's got some mini inductor in the pen that interacts with the field from the screen, and due to changed capacitance it performs writing. Google around for Wacom digitizer technology or N-trig you will get the answer.

The amount you have to pay when you get the phone.
Amount of money will be deducted from your monthly bill.

For example, DAP is RM250, my 1st bill RM200, so it will deduct RM200 from DAP automatically and balance RM50 forward to the next bill? Am i right?

No wonder Note2 User Manual page 8 says do not use screen protector. Being a heavy Sketchbook user, I can confirm Note2 works gazillion times more accurate than even a retina ipad 3

Just get my SME Note 2 Titanium Grey at RM 2180 from a LYN member at Subang SS15, he told me that was last unit until today , its make me so happy till I didnt realise the screen protector bought from him was not full screen., so sad

bought from SEP?

White looks really good... Wonder if it will be a challenge to find a suitable case for it.
