No wonder Note2 User Manual page 8 says do not use screen protector. Being a heavy Sketchbook user, I can confirm Note2 works gazillion times more accurate than even a retina ipad 3

Writing text is not so practical if you are in a hurry, though the prediction is so much better than note1 coz first you need to take out the pen and write, too much friction.  But for drawing and clipping graphic on screen it is awesome. But I do use it to jot notes when I m not in a rush, like in a boring meeting or brainstorming session.

I think u didn't read properly. He stated the keyboard comes with 5 rows incl numeric row.... So no need to switch back & forth :-)
