becoz the telco package is very bad this time compared to S3. I have been signing up contract for my past 2 phones but not this time. Got my grey SME at RRP too yesterday.

but need to commit RM78 call + RM68 data each month for 24 months, way too much compared to S3 RM30 call + RM68 data.

if their Note II can support LTE, others SME sets will be too since all are SME sets. Dun think Maxis got special batch.

i think not possible to transfer without going thru backup and restore with apps like Titanium Backup which requires root. Need sifu Uncle Benny to confirm this.

Not yet root my Note II and transfer all the data from Tab 7.7 yet. Will do it over the weekend. Will need to do Rooting definitely - much easier and faster to do it in batch.

i think should be - i got mine from Maxis MEP yesterday morning. It comes with multi-windows out of the box.

you are using it while charging? Yesterday i charged from 3% to Full in less than 2.5 hours while downloading huge apps like Alphalt 7, etc in Play Store.

i was suspecting that, so i sign up the Note II dropbox with a new account. The old account has the bonus 48GB from S3 and i will keep it for the Tab 7.7. But in fact i dun use much of the storage yet - only 4-5GB used.

you need to do some steps. Sign in to dropbox.com in your computer and do the steps (eg. download dropbox program and install in your PC, put something inside your dropbox, etc). Last time for S3, i sign in with an existing account and straight away get 48GB bonus and i was puzzle why some says need to do some steps. But yesterday i signed in with a new account - then only i know it is applicable for new accounts.

yes, many sellers are offering around RM2,150 in KL, not in JB definitely.

dun use those cheap usb card readers which are not SDXC compatible. Actually no need to format it. Note II can support exFAT format of the 64GB SDXC card out of the box. Formatting it in your computer with a cheapo card reader will spoilt the card. Only format the card inside Note II to be safe.

haha... contracts are good if they match your usage. Too bad the MOC offer usage are too much for me. I plan to sign up plan for S4 later next year and sell the sealed set off to make a profit to cover my phone bills. The current Maxis Note II plan really cannot justify me to sign up contract.

i think most get it for RM205 from LYP. Sandisk Mobile Ultra Class 10 is the popular choice.

spend the whole yesterday night setting up the new Note II:
1. Root & install CWM.
2. Install Titinium Backup and transfer all my data by backup/restore.
3. Flash WanamLite 1.2 (only for the deodex feature, luckily non-wipe rom).
4. Flash 5x6 home screen mod - really cannot stand the 4x4 default, it is just wasting the space in big screen.

Later will see want to do the external/internal memory swap or not.

can't really compare battery life as i dun really use it after i got it on Thursday. Smoothness is about the same, can't feel any difference to me.

actually just wanted to root and use TB. Then cannot tahan the 4x4 home screen so thinking of flashing the mod. But realise can only do it with a deodexed ROM, so no choice but to flash the WanamLite, as recommended by Benny to be close to stock rom.

yes, i still can't manage to reset the counter. Went the Chenglu way and realise it will have problem resetting. Reflashed with CF-Root but still cannot. So flash again Chenglu CWM and forget about it, continue my setup. Not going to bother about the counter now, sooner or later, some genius in XDA will find an easy way to fix it.

just wait until you need to warranty it.

do you guys interested in a bulk of Sandisk Mobile Ultra 64GB Class 10? I have done one for S3 few months ago, dun know want to do one for Note II members or not.

haha... ok. But actually moving the photos is very easy - just connect your Note II to the computer and cut and paste the folder "DCIM" from your "Phone" to "Card".

Nope, no need to root - just need to enable it - >>Settings>>Security>>Device administration>>tick Unknown sources.
