Waahh, if money is not your consideration than just buy GL lah. With 14-16K cheaper you'll get a turbo engine, spacious cabin and loads of features. But the small things all can be fix at sc lah. What you've herd from us exora bold owners about engine over heat and other problems all solved already when go to sc. So it's not that bad lor...

If you doubt proton quality, just go for the livina..not bad also. To own an exora bold must have high level of acceptance tongue.gif

Guys, my EB fan dont usually spin after turn off engine.Sometimes that bother me scared if overheat. Last time it spin for 5 seconds and stop.
My neo aggressive driving when turn off engine the fan will still run for like 2 minutes max.

Btw I tint my EB, did another layer on top of the stock tint...front side 40% and rear and back 80%. It not solid black when view from outside, more to reflection. Pass by roadblock, abang jpj stop me and when i wind down the window he saw me with family he let me go whistling.gif:

It's call one way valve syndrome, as my bold also have this. And still waiting for the parts and sc will call to replace it. Any then that, my bold runs pure-fact-ly!

Welcome back Mat79.

My EBP is less than a month old. I noticed the the temp bar ( not air con temp ) is 3-4 bars in the morning and when driving. Is this normal ?

I also noticed you cannot wind the the 2nd row seat window all the way down. It winds down to only 80%

The sound after switch off the engine is sometimes there and sometime not. Hope this sound will go off latter. Thank You Mat79, I will check on the radiator coolant on my next service .

thank for the info. But what meaning one way valve syndrome? How long you repair and waiting time?
Just 2 week need to open engine. Who can accept it. Proton need to take more serious on their QC.

i think its becuz every car in 1 batch is assembled in the same way
thats why the cars in that particular batch will be affected
next batch, they would improve it abit..thats why certain dn't have, certain have

Further improvement to my previous figures. This time directly from datalog, plug into my Excel.

Kindly ignore figures below 4000RPM, as I couldn't find a long straight road this morning, not much time & speed to properly build-up boost. It's a drive-to-work route after all.

Will do another run to capture acceleration below 4000RPM. In the meantime, 123whp@5085RPM is not bad right?

hi those EB owners as of today, would like to get your inputs and experienced:-

1) what should i do when i first get the EB? What things to check in details? Any tips?
2) is it true that some people say, new car can't drive more than 120km before it complete the 1000 km (for the 1st sevice)? If we still do that, does it really gonna harm the engine?
3) is it true that the turbo engine (CFE), is 'manja'? what actually it means by 'manja'?? we cannot continuosly drive over than 3k rpm for certain period of time??

appreciate those experienced EB owners or car experts/mechanics to share the knowledge.... icon_rolleyes.gif

2)got different school of thoughts on proper procedure of engine break-in. some say drive slow. some say. drive fast.officially proton says drive slow..

3) didnt know about this. but i usually cruise on the highway at a constant engine speed of 3k to 3.1k

Break in is not just to protect the engine... It to give us as the driver to get use to the new car characteristric.. Go slow for a start... Then.. After that we will feel more comfortable plus know more about the car and the behaviour... Maybe after a week of driving your new ride..

Just my 20cents... Hehe

Added on May 13, 2012, 4:41 pmJust to share.. Normally after driving to work... Or long distance.. KTN to KL normally... When arrive of course la slow speed.. A lot of speed bump to the office parking... Also to the house in KL.. When arrive, immidiately off the engine... No fan spinning... But, sometime when i continue idling for few minutes, off the engine, the fan will start to do his job..

So, for me, when engine idling after long hard work.. The engine temp will go up and this will force the fan to do his job one engine power cut off...

Bro taqu.. What is your coolant temp after driving around? Mine around 82-85degC...
