QUOTE(DinKnight @ May 21 2012, 10:35 PM) no need for forummers to keep repeating that every car brand has problems to justify the weaknesses of exora bold. i find lots of people try to defend proton cars by saying other brands also have problems. this is stale news lah. take other brands out of the equation, what are you left with? If a car has bad quality, just say it as it is, no need to hide behind other brands' so-called problems. unless you are a die-hard proton fan or staff, other fans will think rationally before making such a purchase. DinKnight. For the second part of your statement, maybe you can consider cocoa grey which they're having now. It is so much nearer to the black color. You can try to google around and you can see what I meant. It is not the color which exora prime has.actual car buyers like myself know what a vehicle warranty is for. but my priorities is very different than most of you, I don't like wasting my precious time going in and out of service centres solving problems that shouldn't have happened in the first place. you think I don't have anything better to do with my time? as for parts, I will judge for myself if parts are expensive or not, nobody can tell me otherwise. did I mention anything about alza? why did you mention it? at the end of the day, I buy a car to fulfill my needs. no point buying a car with full knowledge you know it's going to be problematic. the only thing going for the exora bold is that it is cheap and big. If I had the money, I'll be buying some other MPV. Added on May 21, 2012, 10:43 pm why, this is great news! any idea what batch number is yours? what about wheel alignment, paint thickness or others? sorry for my asking. well you know lah, I don't have the luxury of time to go in and out of service centres to tolerate over-tighten lah, under-tighten lah, dealer's fault lah, vendor's fault lah, customer's fault lah, etc. your EB is still new, care to update again by end of July 2012? that is the time I may make an early decision. maybe proton can re-introduce a black colour exterior EB by then. thanks Added on May 21, 2012, 11:13 pm QUOTE(cocodemon @ May 20 2012, 09:40 PM) fyi i just received my exora last thursday (17/05). arrived from factory the previous day. odo shows 20km (the dealer brought to tint shop) Cocodemon. Thanks for sharing. Nice to know that you're loving the exora bold you received recently. I also after so much thinking finally decided to opt for bold rather than nissan gl 1.8. The main factor is the price and also the accessories that proton put in bold. I chose cocoa grey after saw the same exora bold which has the same color on the road few weeks back and it is so look like black color. Loan is already approved and awating for the car now. I hope it is going to be a pleasant experience for me. i'm aware of the common problems related to eb's. so after 4 days and 350+km, from my observation my eb does not have all these common problems: - jerking of the cvt gb - intermittent aircond - engine shut off - dashboard rattling - weird engine sound - oil leaking - friction on door handle (they're not touching at all) - strange sound after hitting potholes what i do have: - wind noise on driver's window. but really minimal one. almost unnoticeable. - hu only managed 2 find hitz.fm & nothing else. maybe dealer wrongly installed the antenna my AFC so far is 9.7. prior to my trip to nilai (fr malacca), the AFC was even lower. from what i see, proton has manage to sort out most of the problems faced by earlier batches of eb. then again, it might be too early to judge p/s damn i love the car. god bless proton! QUOTE(DinKnight @ May 22 2012, 09:10 PM) Bro, I saw Cocoa Grey in the flesh. To my eyes, it is nowhere near to black. I don't like this colour at all. Oo. really? Maybe my eyes have different view on the cocoa grey color. ![]() Would rather go for the maroon one. ![]() Added on May 23, 2012, 7:04 am QUOTE(zakinawi @ May 22 2012, 10:24 PM) Yeka. Something wrong with my eyes maybe. This post has been edited by richsense: May 23 2012, 07:04 AM |
