Letters/Numbers are in black or white colours. Navy & Red NNs depend on stock availability and are ordered and sold as sets (not individually like black and white).
Locally each EPL letter costs RM6 per letter and RM35 per number. So if you want to buy ROONEY 10, it will cost:

(6 letters X RM6) + (2 numbers X RM35) = RM36 + RM70 = RM106

A pair of EPL patches (normal or champions patches) costs RM49 per pair (2 pieces for both sleeves).

Here is the list of names/address/contact information of local sports shops that have a previous and currently proven record of selling authentic items (jerseys, namesets and badges). As you all know, one of the rules and principles of all JCs (Jersey Collectors) are to say no to fake jerseys, NNs and badges.

We had a case with one of our previously recommended and endorsed shop somewhere in KL who we previously trusted and recommended to our friends and other fellow JCs. But in early 2008, 2 of their employees broke our trust and started to sell fake namesets and badges. Our mistake was not to spread this news because we though it was a one off case and we had good faith on that shop. But sadly it became worst because many people fell victims to these 2 unethical sellers who preyed on naive and innocent buyers who wanted to buy original items and paid the items with prices that matches authentic items. Is it unethical but at the end they got away with it because we didn't have any proof against them. It is funny to see how they pretend they didn't know about it and were plain cowards for not admitting it or still claiming that it's authentic. And at the end, the tauke himself said to one of our mates in the JC group to trust him more than us. That really upset us because we were wasting time giving them chance to sort out things, trusting and endorsing them, and at the end.. after trying to gain back our trust and believe on them.. we were scolded back as if we were the one starting the fuss. Takkan pokok bergoyang kalau tiada angin bertiup.. right?

So what we can do now is.. for the sake and safety of other JCs, newbies and friends out there is to list down the local and foreign sports shops that are guaranteed to sell authentic items and are personally endorsed by us. We might not have 10 years experience of selling items (quoted by someone who claims that players actually wear jersey with PU typed NNs during matches because they are light.. WTF..?) but we know our stuff. And I have black and white proof to back that up.

The first one

I've written an interesting guide at my-fjc forum on what the nike 3 digits colour code mean... Here's the guide:

Understanding The Nike 3 Digits Colour Coding

Whenever you buy any nike football jersey.. you can always check the 6 digits style code and also the 3 digits colour code. It comes standard for all nike apparels, including nike t-shirts, shorts, socks and shoe... Here's example of the Man United's 2010-2011 home jersey's washing tag:



As you can see from the barcode sticker above, the jersey's colour code is 623.

Of course, most of you guys wonder.. why is that jersey's colour code is 623? How about other football team jerseys? What colour code should they use?

To understand more what that colour code means.. Nike normally categorizes their product's colour scheme based on a 3 digit colour coding. Here's what the 3 digits colour code mean:

0xx = Dominant Black/Grey
1xx = Dominant White
2xx = Dominant Brown
3xx = Dominant Green/Light Green
4xx = Dominant Blue/Light Blue
5xx = Dominant Purple
6xx = Dominant Red/Pink/Maroon
7xx = Dominant Yellow/Gold
8xx = Dominant Orange
9xx = Special Make Up

Here are some style code and colour code for certain nike jerseys:



1. Juventus Away 2009-2010: 354296-010 (grey colour jersey)
The colour code is 010 and falls under the 0xx category.

2. Juventus Away 2008-2009: 287403-770 (gold colour jersey)
The colour code is 770 and falls under the 7xx category.

3. Holland Home 2009-2010: 376906-815 (orange colour jersey)
The colour code is 815 and falls under the 8xx category.

4. Juventus Away 2003-2004: 114323-600 (pink colour jersey)
The colour code is 600 and falls under the 6xx category.



5. Manchester United Away Goalkeeper: 2010-2011 382474-545 (purple colour jersey)
The colour code is 545 and falls under the 5xx category.

So far I've seen one brown coloured jersey and it's the 2006-2007 PSG away 'Louis Vuitton' tribute jersey:

How about Arsenal's 2005-2006 maroon Highbury farewell jersey? Interestingly it falls under the same category as red/pink:

How about Barcelona's current 2010 away shirt? I read somewhere and they say that the away kit is "cool mint green":

To me it looks like it's turquoise or jade... but then the colour code proves that it is in the "green" colour category:

8. Barcelona Away 2010-2011: 382358-310 ("cool mint" colour)
The colour code is 310 and falls under the 3xx category.

People may ask what 9xx stands for? Special make up. From my research, this colour code is unique where the colour doesn't fall under 0xx to 8xx. So far I've never seen a football jersey YET using colour code under 9xx...For nike shoes.. yes they have. So what exactly do they consider as special make up? customized nike shoes such as Nike ID, Countdown Packs (example, Nike Jordan) etc... We don't have this in nike football jersey.

As for nike colour codes for shoes.. normally the colour codes represents the 3 colours used on the shoes. For example, if a nike shoe has a colour code of 071, the shoe will have "black/varsity maize" colour which is black + yellow + white. This doesn't apply for football jerseys.. Man United's 2010 home jersey has colour code of 623...

Doesn't make sense if red + brown + green..

What is for sure is... the first digit (most left side number) will always be the dominant colour of that jersey. But it might be a bit tricky if the jersey has 2 colours.. or striped/halved jerseys..

For example, the home jerseys of Inter Milan, Barcelona, Athletico Madrid and Celtic:



9. Inter Milan Home 2010-2011: 382247-010 (black and blue)
The colour code is 010 and falls under the 0xx category.

10. Barcelona Home 2010-2011: 382354-486 (blue and maroon)
The colour code is 486 and falls under the 4xx category.

11. Athletico Madrid Home 2010-2011: 382190-601 (red and white)
The colour code is 600 and falls under the 6xx category.

12. Celtic Home 2010-2011: 381813-378 (green and white)
The colour code is 378 and falls under the 3xx category.

Anyway my research on this matter might not be final. There could be new colours made by nike for the future.. we might not know what new colour might appear...

the exchange rate depends on ur credit card rate which now estimately should be about 4.8. for the traceable shipping is an additional rm30. in my opinion that defeats the purpose of me getting during the sale. anyway u can find people in this forum to bulk the item back.

Your washing tag should be at the white tag (back side) behind the umbro logo.

the washing tag for this shirt is always underneath the blue umbro tag at the collar, haven't seen any with washing tag sewn near to the hem, only see made in England one at the collar there before

If you're referring to the nike 3 digit color code.. there is no 2 versions or more. That is the fixed color coding scheme. I made some research and that is what it is previously, today and tomorrow.

OK.. you can purchase from united direct (store.manutd.com) using 2 ways:

1. Using paypal
2. Using credit/debit card

I would suggest and recommend that you use a debit card to purchase from united direct. I myself am in the midst of clearing all my credit card debts and closing them once and for all. Using debit cards is easier and safer... you have control over your spending and you will not have to incur debts that will grow badly if not controlled when using credit cards.

You can even use your atm card (that is of course a debit card) to purchase online. It will deduct the money directly from your bank account. Therefore before you purchase, ensure that you have enough money in your bank account.. I recommend maybank's atm visa debit card because I've been using it for a while and so far so good. I've written a guide on how to use your maybank atm debit card to purchase jerseys online (using paypal or direct debit card). Here's the link:

The key here is to convert your normal maybank atm card to a maybank atm debit card. You then need to enable something called 'Maybank Secured Online Shopping' or MSOS. After you've enabled MSOS, your atm debit card can now be used to purchase things online (or even link to a paypal account). That website will give you the current exchange rate. When buying online, the difference might be slightly different.. not much. But use it as a guide.

3. There will be 2 types of shipping methods:

a. Standard delivery - (£6.95) uses Royal Mail Airmail. Takes 7-10 days to arrive. No tracking mechanism. Got risk of item being lost
b. Express delivery - (£11.85) uses UPS. Takes 3-5 days to arrive. Got tracking mechanism. If item not delivered and signed by recipient, UPS will keep the item for you and you can either collect it personally or ask them to re-deliver.

I strongly suggest you use express delivery via UPS. Much safer and is only RM30++ different compared to standard delivery. And is faster as well.

Did you use UPS service? If so, man utd store will send you a email which contains the tracking no. for tracking at UPS website. at first, I guessed you are using UPS since your order value was about RM400 but you said it was delivered on 28th Dec, UPS wouldn't take so long, so i think you are using Standard service which is Royal Mail, which normally takes about two weeks time for delivery. You can contact them after 15 days from the time they shipped out to make inquiry

i think they are the same. Soccerauthentic once advertise the 10/11 one as "same as 0910 but different material". Not sure whats so different with the 2 PU, and to be frank i dont think that is significant.

How To Fix Your Jerseys Using Laundry or Fabric Marker

If your jersey needs some touch up or fixing due to certain reasons (such as colour fading).. you can use a special type of marker known as Fabric or Laundry Marker.

These markers are made specifically so that they will not fade when written onto fabric materials such as clothes and then washed later. I remember the time when I was in boarding school and me dad bought me these laundry markers... So I could write my name onto my school uniforms and send them to the school's laundry shop (or known as 'kedai dobi') so that if they go missing, I know which shirt belongs to me.

You can use these markers to fix/touch up faded collars, faded shirt sponsors etc etc...

After you've touched up your jersey using the laundry/fabric marker... you then leave your jersey dry for few days. If there is no PU sponsor/nameset, you can leave it dry outside (under the sun) so that the marker's colour bonds and dries. Later you can wash your jersey and iron press (beneath the area) where you did the touch up...

Here's an example on how I fixed a shirt that I bought for cheap (due to the faded sponsors) using a laundry marker:


Once done, I then left the jersey outside under the sun for one whole day... since there is no PU sponsors/namesets on it.. Then I washed the shirt and iron pressed beneath the sponsors area so that the colours bond. Here is the results:

Hmm...dunno..for some reason the red and black strips didn't appeal to me too much. I like the white kit, but its too difficult to maintain...from experience...white kits usually turn grey after a while...

Not sure if they turn grey... as I have a quite number of white kits (england jerseys and man united away shirts).. but the biggest problem with white jerseys are the risk of colour bleedings occurring onto them... since it's white.

To me, the red and black is ac milan. That is why it is called rossionerri... yes, they won the UCL wearing white most of the time... but I believe the red and black is the genuine colour of Milan. Can't really think of other clubs wearing black and red (except for sarawak in the past.. when they were with lotto). Black and red is ac milan.

Dunno about yours but after extended washing, my germany kit lost its ...well...whiteness..lol , can't think of anyway to describe them..hahaha. Apart from colour bleeding, i think foods the biggest enemy to white kits as well...=.= an accidental splash of some curry onto it and its ruined...

It turned grey because your germany kit consists of white and black. Where does the grey come from? Maybe from the black..

Other worries with the white jerseys is the stains from normal wear and tear and also from other sources like food. Also be careful when washing them, do not mix them with other coloured clothes inside the washing machine.... ask aw13, I still remember his bad experience with his chelsea white third kit (hehehe...)

OK, the 2010 FIFA World Cup has gone by.. and England sucked badly during the tournament.

But what caught my eyes about england is not their performance.. but something called their tonal range.

Quoted from umbro's website and blog site:

Basically what the 2010 Umbro England Tonal Range is about is that it features an England Away shirt with some subtle differences to the Umbro logo and the England crest. Also featured in the tonal range are the drill top and jacket. There were 2 tonal colours used for the range, which is victoria blue and red. But to me, what caught my eyes was the England Tonal Victoria Blue Away Jersey:


Anyway I really like umbro's website.. there's these really cool music being played in the background... complimented by the simple and oldskool design.. I think nike's marketing department played some role in here...

Back to the jersey, when I look at it... I really feel like this blue jersey should be their third kit.................. I know umbro does have one third kit being kept in their closet and ready to be used if needed.... since their away is red and there are national teams wearing red and white (croatia, paraguay, etc)... But alas.. they never seem to ever use one. The last time england had a blue third kit was way back in 1992...

So this jersey is basically the same design and material as like the england 2010 away jersey. When this springs in my mind, one thing that puts me off...... the silly small tight sleeves. No thanks to the sleeves, wearing them makes my armpits feeling slightly painful after some time... Due to this, I had to order a bigger sized one (previously I ordered size 48, so for this tonal shirt, I ordered 50).

The victoria blue england tonal shirt at the moment is sold out at kitbag and not found at subside.. so I was lucky to find one at ebay.... it's brand new with tags some more... how lucky I am.

Something interesting on this Tonal jersey is the sleeves is not made using the same tight elastic material like the 2010 England Away jersey... but it seems to me that the material is almost the same like the front layer:


Also pleasing to know that the front and back layer of the tonal jersey is the same material, unlike the 2010 England Away Jersey. And I also think that the sleeves also uses the same material as the front and back layer as well:



So the 2010 England Tonal jersey is not 100% identical in terms of materials used compared to the 2010 England Away jersey...

More evidence is written on the washing tags inside the jersey.. we can compare the difference between the 2010 England Tonal's washing tags with the 2010 England Away's washing tags:



Here is the lowdown on the materials used to make each jersey:

2010 England Tonal Jersey:

1. Body - 79% Polyester 21% Cotton
2. Trim - 90% Polyester 10% Spandex
3. Trim - 100% Polyester

2010 England Away Jersey:

1. Body - 79% Polyester 21% Cotton
2. Trim - 100% Polyester
3. Trim - 82% Polyester 18% Elastane
4. Trim - 90% Polyester 10% Spandex

My guess is that the material used to make England's 2010 away jersey is 82% Polyester 18% Elastane.

Anyway the jersey is still made in Indonesia like England's away jersey and home jersey:

Cutting: (Really don't understand why the need to make small sleeves)
Comfortness: (Even though the sleeves are not made using the same elastic material, the small sleeves are not my favourite thing)

they did m'boro first, after that they did r.madrid..
