Taken from my-fjc forum:

How To Fix Your Jerseys Using Laundry or Fabric Marker

If your jersey needs some touch up or fixing due to certain reasons (such as colour fading).. you can use a special type of marker known as Fabric or Laundry Marker.

These markers are made specifically so that they will not fade when written onto fabric materials such as clothes and then washed later. I remember the time when I was in boarding school and me dad bought me these laundry markers... So I could write my name onto my school uniforms and send them to the school's laundry shop (or known as 'kedai dobi') so that if they go missing, I know which shirt belongs to me.

You can use these markers to fix/touch up faded collars, faded shirt sponsors etc etc...

After you've touched up your jersey using the laundry/fabric marker... you then leave your jersey dry for few days. If there is no PU sponsor/nameset, you can leave it dry outside (under the sun) so that the marker's colour bonds and dries. Later you can wash your jersey and iron press (beneath the area) where you did the touch up...

Here's an example on how I fixed a shirt that I bought for cheap (due to the faded sponsors) using a laundry marker:

Here is the marker that I will use to fix the sponsors.. "Marker for laundry"

Carefully, I re-coloured the faded sponsors

Not bad...

Once done, I then left the jersey outside under the sun for one whole day... since there is no PU sponsors/namesets on it.. Then I washed the shirt and iron pressed beneath the sponsors area so that the colours bond. Here is the results:

OK la.. Not 100% perfect but still able to enhance and make it better...

Nice guide, Faiz.
Do you think this method works with a white PU NN?
I got a Napoli shirt, but it had some dirt on the NN, so I used a bit alcohol, attempting to clean it, but the result was disastrous.
A letter was a bit decolourized.

*  It is not official Lextra product, just some high quality Lextra clone fake. However, its a cheaper alternative and the quality is 90% close to authentic Lextra patches. You could also find RESPECT, EURO 08 patch of similar version.

Thanks buddy smile.gif

Anybody has a Man Utd UCL treble shirt?
I'm usually a size S guy, and I found this shirt on Ebay, but its size 12-13 children.
Do you guys think it might fit on me?

I want to put Ronaldo 9 at the back. Please help.

Man, that's gonna be hard.
I've never seen any store here in Brazil selling only NNs, so I don't think you can find it on Ebay.
The best thing is to e-mail Corinthians store or try to sell this jersey and buy a numbered one on their store.
I'm brazilian, if you need any help feel free to contact me.

I was in Brazil last week. You can try ebay, the price around GBP50 exclude postage.
Wow, a Brazilian here. Maybe next time we can order from you for Brazillian Club jersey.

Yeah, the store that I went didnt sell any jersey with NN. And I didnt speak Portugese either. I just grab what I saw, paid and left. Was looking for Santos jersey as well, but couldnt find any.
Already sent an email to the store. Hopefully they understood my google translation.

Thanks for your help.
*
Yeah, e-mail them and see if they reply you back.
If they don't, tell me, so I can try to talk to them or another store about the NNs.

sometimes its not about risking the result in order to save the RM10 printing fee....its about learning, especially the fun of DIY. yes, there might be a few casualties...but then we can learn from that, and continue to improve. I particularly try to avoid buying shirts that are printed because i love doing the printing myself laugh.gif (unless the printed shirts are unavoidable like discounted ones or from eBay). Heck even from Subside there's once the Customer Service emailed me if i want the printing loose or onto the shirt, i requested to be loose so i can do my own printing hehe...the satisfaction is orgasmic  blush.gif

besides, the so called "professionals" are also human, they also arrange themselves and use their own experience hence "better result". Not much difference with me and a few others who DIY, except the machines used (heatpress compared to iron and board)  nod.gif

Agree with you mate.
It was actually necessary for me to learn how to DIY, since where I live, there are NO reliable places I can print my shirts.

Anybody ever had experience with this seller's DIY NNs?
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/animate.shop/m.html...sid=p4340.l2562
I was willing to buy it, since Home of Badges ones are costing US$ 40(!) each, but I'm unsure about the quality and material used.
