Guide to track ur current sms and call usage - Strictly for Digi iPhone plan customer ONLY. [Credited to sheahann]

For Digi plan user that wanna track their current SMS and Call usage .
Im using the i88 plan with 200minutes free calls and 200SMS ..
For those who wanna keep track of their usage without having to jailbreak then can have a look here.
As far as i know. Apps store doesnt have those apps to track ur calls and sms(at least for free) while cydia MobileLog(causes FaceTime crash) and CallCounter(not free).
So here's how to do it.

1. Login to Digi OCS .
2. Click Unbilled transaction and the Unbilled Transaction.
user posted image

3. To track SMS usage.

Choose call type as MO SMS.

My billing ends on 15th November and start a new 1 on 16th november. So i choose 16th november as From , and To to the latest day( if today is dec 7 then choose 7th loh, but in this guide i will just take 18th november as an example).

Now just click Submit and u can see the total SMS u currently used.
user posted image

OK done with SMS .. its quite straigh forward ..

Now come to the calls usage part . Digi did provide the list but image if u got around 200calls .. are you going to add up 1 by 1 ?

4. To track Calls Usage.

Calls type choose Originating

My billing ends on 15th November and start a new 1 on 16th november. In this guide i choose date From 15th november to 7 December .

In the printscreen i got 77calls .. imagine if u got 200calls and how u gonna sum it up to track ur usage ?
user posted image

Solution:
1.Click the Download To CSV.
2. Open it up in Excel.
3. Click the "A" column 1 time(to select whole column) .
4.Choose Data > Text to column.
5. In the box choose Delimited then next > Tick Other and put in "|" and then click Finish. Now the data is correctly aligned into column.
6. Click the "D" column(Duration/Volume) then click Home>Format > Format Cells.
7. In the box choose Custom > then replace the word General with hh:mm:ss and then click OK.
8. Now simply click 1 empty cell and type in =SUM(D:D)
9. U can now see the total usage in that box ..

user posted image

As according to above image, has used up to 1hour 33mins & 28secs ( equivalent to 99min 28second ). If you are on iDigi88, with 200mins free call; you have left 100mins & 32secs on free call.

Sorry noob here. Im confused with the iDigi88 statement plan.

It's either we pay rm58/63 monthly or rm88 monthly?

Based on my understanding, we need to pay rm88 for 24 months and the rest forward will be rm58/63? Sorry if this have been discussed before, lazy to read the whole previous thread.

haha u terbalik liao. first 24 months pay RM58/63 monthly. after that pay RM88 (but depends if u still wanna follow the plan or not)

anyway i got a question to ask.
i checked via *128#, unbilled statement is about RM12+
but checked via digi.com.my, unbilled statement is about RM8, remaining balance is RM290+

which one to follow actually?

How do get hold of the tel number for the digi centres? My iPhone is faulty and I'm waiting for a replacement but I doubt the digi rep at BTS actually reserved a phone for me, so I have to call them up everyday to ask if there's stock. Thinking of calling up Digi Solaris but I cant find their number.

Although you can put your address but somehow the ic owner must show the ic to the delivery guy. I have no problem because my fren work same company with me so i just put my company address for the delivery.

Although you can put your address but somehow the ic owner must show the ic to the delivery guy. I have no problem because my fren work same company with me so i just put my company address for the delivery.
*
Yup the guy with the IC used to register must receive the iPhone 4, otherwise they won't give it to you. They are very strict on that.

Anyone here claimed warranty for their iPhone3GS recently? Do they still provide 1 on 1 swap on the spot? My phone now sometime can't detect SIM card or "No Signal", need to restart the phone to get it back to normal.

Not immediately? How many days of buffer like? They'll test the phone?

My previous experience is that they provide 1 to 1 swap on the spot.

hsienhsien : you need to pay minimum RM58 (only with autobilling). Extra charges will be above the RM58.

supplementary lines ... I'm not sure. please contact Digi directly.

Try syncing the unit with iTunes. It will prompt (either manually or automatically) for iOS4.2 upgrade.

All DiGi-iP hunters, you can check your new phone is iOS 4.1 or 4.2 at Settings > General > About > Version

They must have withdrawn it yesterday. I did receive the upgrade notification when I sync my unit with iTunes 10.1.0.54. Today when I connect again to iTunes, it says my device is up-to-date (ie iOS 4.1). Sorry for the confusions.

meaning it just suddenly dimmed on its own?
mine on the contrary i didn't feel if it got auto dim :/

mine ipon4 got no heat-while-charging issue neither. might have to check your unit.

what i meant was before this i was on iphone 3G, usually when i get to darker place it auto increase the brightness. and when you are in a bright area, it decrease the brightness, but my ip4 doesnt...

the charging.. it only effects certain phones..some may have, some doesnt.

Does anyone know if the Digi centre in BTS had any iPhone 4 16GB stock within the last 5 days? I went on Sunday to replace my problematic phone, and was told there was no stock. I asked the rep there to reserve a unit for me, and he told me to call him back everyday to ask if there was stock. I called him everyday since tuesday, and everyday it was the same answer "no stock today". It wouldn't surprise me if there was indeed stock but they gave priority to new customers and left us poor souls with broken iPhones cold.

most, if not all replacement stocks are refurbished set. new stock and refurbished stock are different thing. maybe they need to send back to Sg to claim replacement but it shouldn't take more than a week to do so.

Is it within our rights to demand for a new unit? The Digi CSR I spoke to says I can have a 1-for-1 exchange, and he also said most of the new stock that comes in will be used to replace faulty phones. That implies I will be getting a new unit right?

I have the number of a Digi rep there and have been calling him for the past 4 days asking for stock availability for my iPhone replacement. Everyday the answer is the same- no stock. Of course maybe there is stock but they're keeping it for new customers. Or maybe he means refurbished replacement units are not in stock. But anyway if you decide to go I suggest reaching there at 9.30am.

Is it within our rights to demand for a new unit? The Digi CSR I spoke to says I can have a 1-for-1 exchange, and he also said most of the new stock that comes in will be used to replace faulty phones. That implies I will be getting a new unit right?
*
No, you can't demand a new unit, unless you open the box there and then when you buy the set or probably after a couple of days. After that if you do not want the refurbished set then you have to wait for your set to be repair, which the wait will be even longer.

the charging.. it only effects certain phones..some may have, some doesnt.

lol...how came urs 1 terbalik punya?..

as i know.. my ip4 when at dark area it decrease the brightness , and when at bright area, it increase the brightness...that's how auto brightness works.... same thing happen at my previous 3gs...

but.. u need to know from dim to bright, u just need to expose ur phone surface to light.... but, for bright to dim... it will not auto turn ur screen from bright to dim when u got into dark area.. it will dim back if u lock ur phone and on back... im not sure it's an issue or wat..i just treat it use to be like that...tongue.gif...

Just came back from Digi Solaris. No stock there.

Anyway, a few answers.

Those looking to replace their faulty iPhones, you will not get a brand new in-the-box unit. You will get a replacement unit. However I'm told this replacement unit is actually a brand new unit, only difference being it does not come in a fancy box with cables/accessories. It is not a refurbished or repaired set. If this is true I'm absolutely fine with it.

On the can't make outgoing calls problem, the solution is indeed as what I found out- go to settings > phone > show my caller ID. Staff told me this affects a portion of iPhones, and is an iPhone problem.

He also told me when you turn on cellular data and 3G, you have to wait for a minute or two before you are actually connected to the internet. He says this is true for all iPhones/Digi users. If you dont encounter this, please tell us, because I find this quite annoying.

I also found out my screen is actually slightly yellowish. Warm. Actually I might prefer the warmer tone compared to the cold blue/white tone. Less glaring and less strain on the eyes I think. But I'm probably fine with either.

Oh and btw, does anyone have the Apple iPhone support email address? I checked their site, and apparently email support is for iPhoto and some other shit, not iPhones.

I'm planning to get iP4 offer from DiGi.

Just wondering what are the procedures since I'm currently on Maxis. Can I get the phone on the spot? Or, I need to wait for the migration first.. Thanks in advance!

why turn off 3G? to save battery; sometimes if at home and is already connected to internet via laptop, why need the 3G for? smile.gif

Digi specialists at the The Mines makes their own plan n contract terms LOL LOL! sure fakap. makes me happy for awhile, but then turn off..

this is what they offer.

PLAN A = Same like Digi plan. But I need to pay RM58 x 24 in advance.. so end up the total to get iphone as they show is RM36xx. Cannot terminated line although pay advance RM58 x 24 months LOL!

Currently they don't have stock for PLAN A, need to wait 5 months to get stock.

==

PLAN B = They make their own. Buy phone at Rm2899 .. monthly they charge RM68 but no contract. They can get u the iphone immediately. and also show me 1 current stock on the table for this plan.

==

So... how weird is digi centre and specialist.. arent' they suppose to be the same? is this how the business go on... charge more for people who desperately want the phone...

One reason I'm not happy with DiGi's iPhone plans is that they all come in 2 year contracts.

Why can't they have a 1 year plan and price the phone just RM150-RM200 more expensive?

Comparing with their nearest competitor which offers 1 year contracts, they are much cheaper and only get tied for 1 year.

Come to think of it, Digi iPhone plans require you to pay upfront RM2600 for the phone with 6 months included, and then getting tied for 2 years. Long run it's just more expensive.

The minimum entry plan for their competitor requires a RM108 plan(RM50 + RM58 data plan combo).
You pay no more than RM2k to get the phone.

Digi's smart plan is RM68 but don't forget you still make calls so add up it might reach close to RM100 as well monthly. But remember it's 2 years tied down contract.

Correct me if i'm wrong.I'm just giving a consumer point of view.

Choice always on our consumer side, but we must admit that DiGi offer unlimited data plan which other can't compete. This already a sale point for DiGi, for the long run DiGi in fact more cheaper.

DIGI have to get their replacement from Sg. It is unlikely you will get as brand new set. Apple is supposed to maintain a pool of refurbished set for "1 to 1" exchange, like the case of 3GS now. If apple were to give a new set everytime, in the end they will end up with a lot of refurbished set. We have seen a number or refurbished MacBook, iMac and even iPod on sale at Apple Sg online store, but never for iPhone.

Yeah I was told the stock comes in from singapore, but the staff there told me the replacement unit is brand new. Maybe Apple takes apart the returned units and reassembles them... that I don't know. Look at the link given by 8xclamation:

QUOTE
# DiGi will honour a one to one exchange of all iPhones purchased from DiGi provided it is within the limited warranty coverage period and meets the Apple warranty policy. In compliance with Apple's iPhone warranty policy stated on http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/iphone, DiGi will accept the faulty iPhone and provide a replacement iPhone.
# The replacement iPhone is a brand new unit supplied by Apple to DiGi for purposes of warranty replacements. The replacement iPhone will not be provided with any packaging or accessories. In accordance with instructions provided by Apple, DiGi assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage.

it's not that I disagree or anything but did you noticed that DIGI warranty actually mentioned that they are following Apple warranty conditions ? you have to read Apple warranty conditions to fully understand. apple also considered a refurbished set with new parts also as 'new' in term of same performance as new set.

Yeah thats what the cs told me.
According to her roughly 100 stocks coming in every week but at times just only 3-4 days stock will be running out already.
She claims 30 unit per day could be sold.

Regardless of what she claims when me and my friend went to get his we saw a box full of iPhone 4.
So maybe what she claim might be true.

So friends taman molek Digi centre JB have stock for 16gb and 32gb.
Try your luck their ok.
Hope this helps my fellow forummers who's hunting.

Cheers smile.gif

Yes, that one is due to white balance of the camera, which has nothing to do with the hardware, so to say..... or rather hardware limitation, not a defect.
hope that new iOS can fix it... sad.gif

@mr_habuk no, its a plan for iPhone4 only. if you really want it for another phone, buy it with the plan and try to sell off the phone to someone here.

Please don't give wrong information... he was asking DiGi smartplan not iDiGi plan
DiGi SmartPlan is not for iPhone 4, where you can only get iPhone 4 from DiGi by signing up their iDiGi plans OR purchase outright if you're an existing iDiGi customer who purchased iPhone 3G/3Gs before 23 Oct 2010.

DiGi SmartPlan is a plan for any smartphone which can online using 3G, RM68/month Unlimited Internet (However, speed capped after 3GB quota), voice call/SMS will charge separately.

Hi, I wonder what description will it be on the Digi monthly bill if I would to take the 0% Interest Easy Payment Plan (EPP) with iDigi 88 plan. Will they state clearly it is an iphone plan or just state it is iDigi88 plan?

Anyone took this plan and has a sample monthly bill to enlighten me?
Thank you very much.

erm... ok la, since it seems like this is the preferred etiquette towards iPhone newbies in this subforum.
Some of us may have already read the details and articles, but sometimes just seek for some more humane form of reassurance, what more from those who already owns an iPhone. Not all of us are existing apple users, thus we'd need some more reassuring response before spending a fortune on this device.

But i mean, if that's the modus operandi here, who am i to oppose eh?

There may be some truth to it... i think whn u remove the sim card, facetime is deacticvated... when u re-enable back u are charge 50c for international sms for activating facetime.

I'm going to request for a rebate for my first month's bill because I've had to go to various Digi centres 6 times in order to

(1) Change my faulty sim card
(2) Change my faulty phone

And I have yet to change the phone. Bloody Digi dont list down the telephone numbers for the Digi centres, and the staff there refuse to call me when there is stock as well. Ridiculous.

I still couldn't get to buy iPhone 4 32GB from any Digi Centre, very frustrated. I can't go to the Digi centre and queue because I have to work. I went to the DC at Solaris but they do not allow me to put my name under reservation, only first come first serve. Is there any other method I can get iPhone 4 from Digi?

I just checked my OCS digi, got charged for 3 calls to Maxis number. I thought we got 200min free talk time? or they don't show now ??? any idea guys???
*
when u say charged, wat do u mean? is it from the OCS unbilled statement?

if so, from wat i've asked via d'chat, u'll be charged for all calls/sms/mms sent. at the end when they wanna bill u, they'll minus back the charges accordingly. if got leftover balances, u'll have to pay the amount smile.gif

e.g u called for total 230 minutes, sent 180 sms. they'll minus back 200 minutes and 200 sms, which means u have outstanding 30 minutes call. u'll be charged for the 30 minutes call (accordingly to your plan)

smile.gif hope it helped yo

@MyKy44 yup, that's correct. its only if you have really large charges unbilled (like RM400) that you need to pay first & get the bill later.

WTA smth on the extended warranty of Iphone 4. When i buy d iphone, i also bought the extended warranty, so that means my iphone is entitle to 2 yr warranty. But when i check the apple site juz now about d warranty of my iphone, it is only until november 2011 (1 year instead of 2 year).
Then i recheck the resit given to me and it do state that i purchase extended warranty for Rm220. And the extended warranty is look like its from 3rd party. Gosh, now i only realize. could some1 plz enlighten me on this whether its 3rd party warranty o apple itself? and could tis company warranty trustable?

SS of the extended warranty resit

Yes, it is my 1st apple product, and i do only notice it when i check the warranty status at apple. Gosh, it happens due to my inexperience in this doh.gif .
For any1 that purchase iphone 4 & extended warranty, r u given 3rd party warranty o Apple itself?
Is there any chances i can argue bac to them and demand d extended warranty is from Apple?(nvm, mostly is a hard to argue thing, i sign on it doh.gif ) I was never being told o educated about 3rd party warranty during transactions.
n, is this freaking company reliable? doh.gif
n the service is provided by Mobisure and support by Chartis Insurance, google Mobisure and found out its a co. tat provide extended warranty for phones. and TecProtec Sdn Bhd is d agent for Mobisure in malaysia, if im not wrong... sweat.gif

I planned to port in to Digi as I am under Maxis right now. The main number account is under my mom's name. When I applied for the current number, I was using my name. So now my question is: Do I have to bring my mom along to port into Digi if and if I am able to get the iPhone 4?

agree, at least cover up the back case with screen protectors / stickers as the surface is very fragile and obvious towards scratches.

I'm thinking of getting an iPhone from digi too, but I'm on Maxis youthclub now and I saved a lot of money from the youthclub, but if I sign up for the Digi contract and I want to use the same number I'll have to port in.

I also heard the coverage and reception for digi is not as good as Maxis...I'm afraid if I switch over to digi I'll have bad connections, which is like having a phone but unable to make any calls.

So I wanna ask if anyone had any problems with Digi's reception, because I don't want to waste my money on something which I can't even use.

I'm previously (currently too, multiple phones) a HYC a.k.a. Hotlink Youth Club user too. I ported in DiGi for iPhone (Maxis got no stocks that time, and I feel that DiGi have better rates). So far I got no complain. DiGi's 3G is slower than Maxis, that's the truth. But not that slow until you can't browse the web. At least most of the time DiGi's 3G speed is quite close to my home's Streamyx. So it's acceptable. Next, I never been in coverage problem in this month (Just subscribed one month ago, so, yeah, it's all time). Maybe it's the fact that I don't go to jungles biggrin.gif It's also true that HYC actually saves a lot, ONLY to Maxis/Hotlink users. When you call/sms other operator, the rate is almost the same as DiGi's iPhone plan. About the reception, I'm not sure which are you referring to. So, skip tongue.gif

*
I was previously on Maxis, now with Digi
1 True Maxis coverage is better
2 Digi is "acceptable" but in some buildings the reception is not as good as Maxis - still usable but weaker signal
3 I choose to move to Digi because there is no Data Cap and won't charge you after you exceed your data cap - just slow down to 128kbps
4 Iphone 4 is best used with data thats why I move to Digi

I hope the Digi people improve on their Call Coverage area and 3G coverage.

QUOTE(TenNix @ Nov 24 2010, 05:01 PM)
*
Thanks for the input guys. Well I guess you guys are from KL, coz I'm in Melaka and I have a few friends who switched over to Digi from maxis but ended up with the line breaking up frequently, so they end up switching back to maxis. Also I just noticed Maxis has a 12 month contract plan and Digi only has 24 months plan.

A question about purchasing ip4 thru DiGi Online Store, can I use PayPal (AmEx) to make the payment? As long as I'm using PayPal, it doesn't matter whether I use VISA, MC or AmEx right?

No. You can't. If you take it they have to charge you, and if your porting fails, they cannot reverse the charges.

Added on November 25, 2010, 10:26 amIn my experience...

Coverage - I found DiGi to be lacking in 3G coverage, however they still have EDGE coverage everywhere.

Data Services - Surfing on DiGi has been much smoother than Maxis. I really hate Maxis' data service. I can even surf well even when the 3G reception is only 1 bar!

no, you have to queue in for the day once your line succesfully port in.
I did mine on tuesday, and tuesday noon i got in ported in, but went DC, they said iphone sold out, i thought they reserve one for me, but sadly, it is no, the girl in DC ask me to come again the next day morning, and voila.. i got it the next day smile.gif

If you register for an iPhone and do your MNP specifically for that purpose, then they will reserve a unit for you. They are obligated to provide you with a unit when your MNP is complete. If they know they cannot deliver when your MNP is done, they will tell you not to MNP.

people in digi centre adviced me not to use the internet servicve within 24 hours time in view of previous customer complaining about data usage being paid per used before it is being "completely activated" within 24 hours time.

I have few questions here.

My sister have a existing DiGi number. Now she want to take the iPhone package through EPP.
1)Does she have to go through extra procedure to sign up for the iPhone plan?
2)Do the pro-order done in the DiGi specialized store listed in the website?
3)Lets say the store have ready stock, can she pick the phone straight away?
4)In case she's not free can any third party pick up the phone on her behalf?
5)Is there any extra charges when signing up for the plan?

I asked the same question to the customer service when was there collecting my iPhone @ digi centre. The answer that they gave me: warranty given only for one year. Dot worry about it tho, From my reckless way of using, apple product can last more than that. That's my idea of buying apple product in the first place.

May i know someone here try this before or not. You subscribe the iphone4 through EPP package with family's member credit card and after you get your own credit card then transfer the payment to your credit card? Can this scenario happen?

Is it necessary to have a credit card in order to buy the iPhone?

Just another question and sorry if this question has been asked before.

If we use Digi + Iphone4 plan or may be other telco, does it consider a "broadband" plan? Therefore, the subscriber will be able to enjoy up to RM 500 broadband tax relief for year 2010?

More info for tax relief available at:
http://www.hasil.gov.my/goindex.php?kump=5...3&unit=1&sequ=1

you charges your battery for how long also no use. your iphone also will drain the battery very fast bcoz there's some application running behind it. just try;

1. turn off your auto brightness.
2. turn off your 3g/wifi if u didn't use it.
3. delete your application history usage after you use the application. for example; facebook application, safari or other application that connect to internet.

i believe it will helps a lot.

Guys, if you port in from other Telco to DIGI and always got miss call sms before you getting the real call. Then it means your line service is purposely at lowered priority in digi's network.

You have to call digi up and report this problem and they will reset your network profile, then you won't get this problem anymore. Also the data coverage willl be better and higher speed.

Digi gives 2 option for you to choose.

1st option;

you buy the phone for RM2090 using credit card or cash and pay RM63 per month for the plan.

2nd option;

you choose the Easy Payment Plan (Credit card only)

the payment is RM2090 + (RM63 x 24 months + 5% tax). so total up is RM3677.60 and every month u need to pay to your bank is RM153.24 (pay for 24 months).

Yes, this is how I got my iPhone from Digi.

EDIT: Make sure you set your limit to above that of the price of the phone. To set that limit, you must go to an ATM.

I only turn it off when I can't charge my phone and my battery's about to die. Other than that, I've never turned it off. I took the iDigi 238 and since I got the phone in September, I've only used 1.7GB total. There's very little reason to turn it off.

@huaidan13: The DiGi rep told me that I can't set auto-billing with a debit card.

@ LancerDragoon no, really? auto-billing means your merchant (Digi) will auto-charge your card for x amount each month.

that's not gonna work with a debit card, obviously.

just get a credit card. 'nuff said.

Hi everyone,

I'm from Johor bahru, anyone knows which branch has available stock?

I'm planning on getting myself a 16gb iphone with the idigi88 plan with 36month installment at $102.16

Is it alright? are there any additional charges or anything I should be aware of?

yo bro.

don't ever do the 36 month installment plan because it not worth. for example; now you subscribe for 2 years for the 16gb iphone 4 and pay RM63 per month for the plan (RM63 per month for 2 years) and do installment for 36 month. when comes 3rd year, you need to pay RM88 per month for the plan for 12 months.

EPP 36 months: includes the iPhone + 24 months monthly fee + 5% service tax, over 36 months. From Month 25 (Year 3) onwards, normal monthly fee will be charged in the DiGi bill.

Got a question to ask... My phone goes from 3G to EDGE quite often although there is 3G reception. To get it to detect back the 3G signal I gotta off and on back 3G in settings. Is this expected?

Yes, this is how I got my iPhone from Digi.

EDIT: Make sure you set your limit to above that of the price of the phone. To set that limit, you must go to an ATM.

Curious question,
I know you can purchase with debit card but it is necessary to have specific amount of money before your application accepted?
Lets say my account only have RM500.

Hey friend, as I said earlier.
Taman molek Digi centre is the place I recommend.
Went there twice already and every visit usually have stock.

But to be safe try and give them a call first for confirmation whether they have stock or not if you have doubts.

Read the local malaysian forums. I think stringfellow has repetitively said that; the problem lies with American users and AT&T.

With us Malaysians, there isn't much of an issue, except if you're looking to use a keyboard instead of the touchscreen, like me.

Anyways, since this is a DiGi -iPhone discussion thread, I would say that if you're looking into buying a smartphone from DiGi (They have various offerings) the iDiGi plan with iPhone 4 is definitely worth the price you're paying for, even if you're locked in for 2 years. the 3 years aka 36 month package is just not worth the value.

As for DiGi vs other telcos, I'm not gonna bash any telcos, but do some reading. I suggest you stick very closely to the yellow man.

I myself am coming over to w'st malaysia, and hoping that in a 9 hour transit gap, I can make a dash to the DiGi centre in KL to get my new iPhone 4.

Just to make it clear, when I said my friends asked me not to buy an IP4, doesn't mean not to sign up with Digi (or any other telco),
they simply think I will regret to pay RM2k to get a smartphone with "so many problem" (they said one, not me tongue.gif )

(one of my friend even show me his IP4 --- I dont want to mention which telco --- when it's raining heavily outside (in Puchong main area), completely no line... sad.gif , and said his battery never gonna last more than 24hours, that's make me really worried cry.gif )

That's really odd, I've seen tons of review stating that Iphone4 has definitely better reception as well as battery life over all other older iphones.

Battery life should be able to last at least 1 day with quite heavy usage

Can other iphone4 users confirm this? I'm gonna get 1 soon o.O"

Me too i m interested on their plan. So i would probably sell off the phone if i sign up their plan.

On data plan only, it will akward as iphone is a phone and not meant to be internet only gadget.
Btw, They do have data/internet plan cheapest only rm38/mo...

Option 1 : Buy with Cash or Credit Card
blar blar blar... upfront payment 2090 for 16gb blar blar blar... After your purchase, you will receive a bill from DiGi every month for the iDiGi monthly fee.

So I am wandering if i could pay the upfront payment and get the bill everymonth afterward ......

@ LancerDragoon no, really? auto-billing means your merchant (Digi) will auto-charge your card for x amount each month.

that's not gonna work with a debit card, obviously.

just get a credit card. 'nuff said.
*
How was it obvious? My gym auto charges my debit card every month just fine. The odd thing is on Digi's OCS site they state that auto billing can be done with a debit card as well, so I have no idea why the rep said that.

It's a personal preference but I'd rather not get a credit card, actually.

If I'm not mistaken, the phone has a GPS component onboard. From my tests, if the phone is not in Airplane Mode, when you lose your 3G/Edge connection, it will still be able to track where you are. However, it will not be able to load the map tiles.

So far, I've never had any problems with mine. I've got good reception, never had signal drops (except for areas where DiGi has coverage problems) and no dead pixels. I've seen someone exchange their iPhone 4 for a new one when I bought mine. I assume that the person had a defective model. Just bring it in and they'll try to help you out.

went to SS2 digi and registered for a Data plan today, had a lil chit chat session with the sales guy. He told me that every outlet can only sell 20 iphone 4 a day. After the sales of iphone reached 20 , whoever came and enquire about iphone , they will just say SOLD out.

Hm according to the sales staff today, the outlet(johor bahru molek) didn't have any stock all morning and they only replenished their stock in the afternoon. As I was making my purchase the staff ask another staff something like "can still sell?" or something so maybe it is true that there is a limitation on how many they are selling per day.

Port in means changing your old sim card to the new one? If yes then it is immediately and foc as well, I can make calls right after but need to wait 24 hours before I can use the 3G

--

Can anyone help me out with the question below?

"Btw after I got my iphone4, there was a call from digi automated voice call saying something and I accidentally hung up the phone, anyone know what is it regarding? It's an automated sound asking me to press 1 for englsh bla bla"

--

Also not sure if I misheard, the staff says if the phone enters into an area with no 3G connectivity it may automatically switch to "Digitnet?" and the charges for Diginet will be costly (additional charges will be applied). If it's true, how do we set roaming of 3G to exclude Diginet? I don't want any surprises in my bill.

Thanks for your sharing... anyway, my port in is from telco to digi... I think it take 1 day to port...

Besides, according to ur question, may be you are new sim card... so normally it happen in your first call... asking you to decide default language for your phone number account.... shd not be a big issue... =)

port in means switching telco...
example : MAXIS port in to DIGI

the automated voice call most likely to be the company survey, how their staff answers ur queries...
hanging up wont result on anything...

those areas without 3G connectivity will change ur connection to EDGE, if out of EDGE Coverage will change to GPRS, no extra charge inbound for the internet services, however, speed varies on different connection...

shd be clear answer to ur questions?

HI all,

I got a question here, my GF wanted to get and iphone4 from digi, we got the upfront payment ready, but the problem is we both do not own any credit card, can i still get an iphone4 from digi ? like using monthly payment by cash ? OR do i need to pay all including the monthly commitment ?

all kind opinion and suggestion is appreciated , thanks
*
no credit card also can get iphone4 from digi. just pay the cash amount (phone price + advanced payment). example idigi 88 + iphone4 32gb will cost u rm2490. then, start received the bill rm63 per month for 24 months.

QUOTE(LancerDragoon @ Dec 1 2010, 11:03 AM)
How was it obvious? My gym auto charges my debit card every month just fine. The odd thing is on Digi's OCS site they state that auto billing can be done with a debit card as well, so I have no idea why the rep said that.

It's a personal preference but I'd rather not get a credit card, actually.
*
debit card can sign up for auto billing, is debit card with visa electron or mastercard electronic use only. i preferred to called it as 'visa debit card' or 'mastercard debit card' than just 'debit card'. bcoz normal atm card can also be considered as 'debit card'. other term is 'prepaid visa' or 'prepaid mastercard'.

but, this so called debit card cannot do "Option 2 : Buy with Installment (Easy Payment Plan)".

but u can swipe full mount with ur 'debit card' for "Option 1".

I'm thinking of getting one tomorrow once I touch down at LCCT from Tawau, Sabah, so that I could start charging and then play with my iPhone as I cruise along the PLUS highway to Penang.

D'Chat seems not to be directly answering my questions.

^They're not always that helpful

Maybe you should just give your preferred DiGi center a call asking for the availability.

that's the problem. the one nearest to me is 500KM away. LOL.

its just that tomorrow i'll be touching down around 1pm noon. So I have like 2-3 hours from Duta (that's what I heard that all busses redirected there) and grab myself an iPhone 4 before taking up a bus up to Penang that very night itself. Sounds very rushed, yes I admit but I've been sort of waiting for this day.

*
Yeap, go earlier the better. Every outlets are the same, they can only sell at most 20 units per day, maybe if there's more time, 25 units at most. This system was set because of the overflowing crowds for the iPhone.

The sales guy told me , an iPhone 4 registration and purchasing timeline needs 45 minutes to complete the procedure. Previously when 3GS was launch, they can't satisfy every customer that came to them. In order to not lower their service reputation, they started using this 20 per day limit system.

Imagine 50 fellows buying a day, 50 x 45 mins = 2250 mins ( 37.5 hours ) lol , no one wanna work for digi d haha

Finally he ask me to go to collect tmr???!!!

He said he submit the form first, tmr morning the port-in should be done, then when my current Maxis show no line, then means the prot-in successful, and I can go and collect tmr. (I not yet pay anything)

Anyone experienced this kind of signing up b4? (as far as I know, everyone here get their iphone on the spot right???

use until finish (dry or less than 10%) and complete a full cycle charging (until 100%)
repeat the above steps if u wish to prolong ur batt life...

I bought the iPhone 32GS with 24 months contract when DiGi launched it this year. Hardly use the phone to make calls but sign up for autodebit anyway few months back and now the account have more than RM30 credit smile.gif

Today bought the iPhone4 16GB today from DiGi Online Store for RM1990 where this promotion is for people who have signed up for previous contract. Phone will be delivered on 10th Dec coming Friday. I have to be at home on that day when the delivery man comes because the T&C states that no 3rd party can collect on behalf.

*
just for your information, micro sim will be included during the delivery,
i went all out to cut my sim... ><"

1) Port in usually take a few hours to 24 hours

2) A few others is speculating that the stores are only limited to sell a specific number of iphone per day so your best bet will be go as early as possible.

Really?I still got 2.5G signal only this morning?

Got iPhone4 for my sis today.
Digi centre at Melaka just got new stock last saturday. But be reminded that according to the one of the salesperson at the rate people ordering here the stock won't last till end of this week. They will only restock once every 2 weeks.

But what surprised me was the whole process of buying the phone just took around 20 minutes only.Maybe it's fast because my sister paid by cash? hmm.gif

You can try at DiGi Solaris. My friend bought his iPhone there (I accompanied him go there). We just walk in and take number, then wait for a while and get the phone with plan. However, after that some of the forumer claimed that there's no more stock. I'm not sure. Best way is to call DiGi before you go. icon_rolleyes.gif

White iPhone 4 should be available in Spring 2011 in US. Think about how long would it take to reach Malaysia. biggrin.gif

DiGi Solaris is OUT OF STOCKS for iPhone 4 (both 16GB & 32GB).

Just got the updates only. Try somewhere else.

Digi set up promotional stall at Dataran Maybank. They only got stock for BB... and have to wait 4 weeks for iPhone ...Crazy!!

Checked with Machine staff. There are no white iPhones. You need to change the covers .
