That's a good thing smile.gif At least Maxis would now have a serious competitor so they won't provide crappy service to customers.

SOON, DiGi is releasing iPhone 3GS via DiGi Turbo 3G package.

Head on to www.digi.com.my/iphone for further information.

if you are in their 3g coverage then the speed is comparable if not faster. Only a few cities have 3g coverage in malaysia.

Im on DiGi with the iPhone 3gs and i would say that in their 3g coverage area, the speed is very reasonable. No problem browsing the internet, IM and emailing. Speeds are quite fast and reliable, even with edge also not that bad. Currently with DiGi 3g unlimited data.

Cant wait to see what plans DiGi are offering for the iPhone 3gS.

Here is a screenie for average speeds i get during the day.

Don't forget that there is still many consumer wanted to purchase Iphone but due to long waits from Maxis has turn them down. But now they get another chance to get it from DiGi. Who knows DiGi can speed up the waiting list since DiGi well known for their friendly customer service.

this is good news. with Digi knocking on Maxis's door. this will create a more competitive market and us users will benefit from it.

price wise for the phone, i don't see much difference. but i have a good feeling Digi will offer a much more attractive plan than Maxis's current iValue plan.

just look at Digi's unlimited data, already 50% cheaper.
