as i know.. my ip4 when at dark area it decrease the brightness , and when at bright area, it increase the brightness...that's how auto brightness works.... same thing happen at my previous 3gs...
but.. u need to know from dim to bright, u just need to expose ur phone surface to light.... but, for bright to dim... it will not auto turn ur screen from bright to dim when u got into dark area.. it will dim back if u lock ur phone and on back... im not sure it's an issue or wat..i just treat it use to be like that...
