Yes, spending more than RM10k before card anniversary date will get the bank credit RM50 into your account to offset GST.
By the way, it is for subsequent years only. For new cardmember, one must pay GST for the first year.

Call before and they gimme the Raya break reason. Well, give them another week, maybe can take both at one time.

You still need to have the redemption letter which is issued by SCB or no go. Check with SCB and not EPIC or Machines.
The redemption letter will be used to cross check your info at the collection center.

In the last contest (TV), the T&C clearly stated that they can't be winning twice. And this time got folks who won twice???!!!!!

Maybe I'm rather upset coz I sent the SMS precisely @ the time but I received the confirmation like 45 minutes later. I really don't know how they manage the contest coz it look like got loophole.

i applied to ocbc titanium on mon by downloading the form and faxing them the application

however, until now, no reply from them nor not sure they accept or not

the automated machine says no application

or 3 days is too shorT?

It's only the guaranteed prize, iPod shuffle in July. As for the August contest, I have yet to receive the sms but I am pretty sure I will get another iPod shuffle as it is the guaranteed prize.


There are hundreds of winners for the grand and first prizes. If you did send the sms at 9.00am sharp but still couldn't get the grand or first prize, I doubt who the actual winners are. I suspect they selected the winners based on spending amount, and this is against the T&Cs.

CIMB DA It's mandatory to provide Degree Cert?

Due to the popularity of the card right now, expect a longer processing period. Most of the guys who posted their Ti application timeline indicates a 3-4 weeks processing cycle.

For OCBC Titanium Card, I would say I received pretty good services from them after I called to ask the status of my application after a month in 'under processing' status.(This is due to unclear copy of IC)
They called to inform me that the card is approved on last Monday and will send out on Tuesday. And today I received sms saying the card is on its way to me, to call them if I havent receive the card in 7 working days. At least, I can keep in track of what's happening...
Wonder of this is the same for everyone....

DA is for educated people with cert only..hahaha.. but if you ask me, i will choose CIMB card lo.. many ppl don know what is direct access le.. I think cimb requirement is higher if you apply worldcard.. i see my dad application form like 180k can apply dy but cimb world is rm200k.. now hsbc plat also lower their requirement dy..rm100k.. last time is rm150k ohhh...

Every second there are thousands of sms received by the system, so every sms has to queue up and wait for their turns. I tried both months also received the confirmation after half an hour. Just like when you are sending sms during New Year at 12am sharp. The other party may not get it instantly.
Since you are saying the same person won the first prize in both months (envy), maybe they have a good method or timing of sending sms? Perhaps they know what is the exact time used in SCB? Our 9am sharp maybe 10 seconds late compare to SCB  That is already a big difference.

even you are the first few, they still can change it to other preferred users after referring to the card records... hahaha.,, sure got filter one...

Same here. I think only iPod shuffle. I thought there is only one winner on both occasion, meaning, you win in July and August, but can entitled for one only. I'm also getting confirmation like 45 minutes later although the server should received by 9.00am sharp because I got the delivery status once I sent

If you read the T&Cs thoroughly, each cardholder is allowed to win a prize every month. I doubt who the real grand prize and first prize winners would be.

Hi guys, i willing to ask that if my friends own RM 2k as basic salary + RM 500 as allowance. But he didnt contribute to EPF. Is that he able to apply the Maybank CC?

Yes, he will be able to apply , but chances are slim if this is his first CC , as usual , most convincing document to apply for CC is to provide EPF statement , Tax return form altogether with 3 months salary slips. Those combination should be able to pass thru all checkpoint from bank to issue the CC provided one did not have any CCRIS record for any default payment.
Should go for AMbank , CIMB , EON or MBF for first timer as its easier to get it approved

You means that AMBank, CIMB, EON or MBF is easier for apply with EPF contribution?

Quite hard to apply without EPF statement.
As i know, the EPF statement will be used to proof your salary statement.

IF can provide the EPF statement is the best, but IF without the EPF , one should be able to apply as well but those bank i mention above is more lenient and not as strict as some bank like MBB , HSBC etc... so you can ask your friend to try his luck on those bank stated above.
