interbank giro transfer from maybank2u to OCBC credit card payment = rm2. is it immediate or need to wait for 1 working day?
*
Transfer is not immediate. If you do it before 12pm then transfer is within the same business day.
After 12pm (even though 1 second) then next business day.

They are not supposed to nor are you supposed to tolerate such nonsense. If got proof, do report the incident to the bank.
The problem with Malaysian consumer is that they tolerate it because they want to use credit card.

I've seen someone having a World Elite Mastercard. He's an American friend of mine. Apparently it is more high end than the World Mastercard. Anyone knows about this?
*
If you check Mastercard's website ... the highest card is World Mastercard.
No mention about World Elite Mastercard.

@siutimtim ... here's an explanation for you.

(VISA) Classic/Standard -> Gold -> Platinum -> Signature -> Infinite
(Mastercard) Classic/Standard -> Gold -> Platinum -> Titanium -> World

recently i applied for HSBC CC through online application. They did send me an email initially, mentioning that my application was rejected, but within the next 24 hours I got another email stating that my application had been conditionally approved. Is this normal?
*
Conditionally approved likely means additional documents or clarifications will be required.

Everyone?  I thought bingozero posted about reduced credit limit of 16k on a platinum and can even go lower?
*
I once lowered my CL to just RM5K on my Platinum card. CS told me (if I remember it correctly) the lowest possible is RM3K. (or was it RM1K?)
A couple of months later (just prior to card anniversary),the bank raise the CL to RM8K. It's rather funny coz the initial CL was RM30K.

The RM2 Service Fee correct? Well that's a lot better than having to drive all the way to KL just to make the payments. Thanks!
*
The RM2 service fee is correct. Yeah ... RM2 is still better than paying for petrol but believe me many rather drive!

I SMSed right @ 9am, received acknowledgement like 30-45mins later. And no shuffle. (And it says that the shuffle is guaranteed!)
SCB gotta revamp the way they do this contest.

Did you call the customer care to ask the reason for declining your application ?

CS won't tell (either if they knew or they don't know) and the best answer would be "It is the Management decision".

that's why it's recommended to write the bank and CC type over the photocopy IC/CC to ensure agent cannot "re-use" and can only apply for that bank's CC ...the more specific the better.
*
My take is ... fraud can happen even if you have taken all precaution. Just do your best to prevent it.
One way is to monitor the way the agent/staff handles your IC. Never let it out of your sight. Ensure it is crossed specifically to avoid duplication scams. If the staff/agents mishandles it, be brave to cancel and take away your application if necessary. If you suspect a scam, just walk off or better report it to whomever you see fit. (Bank, BNM, police, etc.)

And before you leave ... ensure your IC is back to you and any extra copies of your IC is destroyed.
No need to be too paranoid about it .... if you do then you can't sleep. cry.gif

Can't because they only allow to insert 7digits number plus first 3 digits(eg:012,016) in the slot while sg have 8 digits...i sent email to their customer service regarding this, but they reply me this:pls visit our cc website and click 'apply now' then our sales officer will contact you asap... Lol:shakehead:
*
Use the manual form la. Do understand that 99.9% of the applications will be normal cases. Yours are just 0.1% of the special circumstances. Be understanding and don't think the bank need to kowtow to you. (Sorry but ... I'm just saying this frankly)

On another thought .... it probably won't be a good idea for you to always use your Malaysian cc in SG due to transaction fees. I know it requires an annual income of SGD72K (if I'm not mistaken) to qualify for SG cc but why don't you use SG debit card ?

y public bank so slow process application for cc? i send the application on 4/9/10 then their key it into system on 17/9/10. The cs ppl ask me to call back check status next two week. anyone know wat way can make their process more faster know results?
*
Your application is not the only application from Malaysia that they receive. The card centre handles application from throughout Malaysia.
Also understand that last week was a long holiday and many people went off for leave.

If you want it faster ... can. Apply for the credit card as a Priority Banking customer and tell them you will withdraw your "millions" if you don't get your card in 3 days. If that doesn't their attention then I don't think anything will. Or go over to Citibank and they have a 2 hour application facility but you need to drive yourself to Jalan Ampang to do this. If you expect them to serve you then it's back to the normal speed.

Goodness ... these days people are so impatient and demanding. I used to wait like an average 2-4 weeks for my credit card to arrive and even on few occasions waited up to 2-3 months. (Because the particular credit card is so popular at that point of time) And I had to wait between 6-12 months after started working before able to apply to cc. Now, many thinks it is their right to get a credit card just after 1 month of working.

I have been following this thread for a long time .... I find many use this thread on how to facilitate their application or how to get more CL. Sometimes it borders between a question and demands. doh.gif

Would there be a transaction charged by Maybank then ?

No. But the number of transactions that will be accepted is rather limited.
Of course the M2U system would favor its own cc product more.

Is there any particular merchant which are tied to OCBC titanium card for the cash back? Eg: shell, maxis and etc?
*
I don't think so. Doing so means merchant is giving away money which is literally impossible for Petrol companies and others well .... why should they?
OCBC offers the cash back based on its own internal promotion.

Please read through the thread and don't be lazy to take a short cut to your answer for whatever reasons. Some more highlight your question. Your question has been answered every other single day! In another thread, they don't allow repeated question being asked. Such questions will be deleted.

but i stil dont get it.  i might have 10 cc cards and if i clear all cc debts who cares? as opposed to one who only has 1 cc card but never pays,.  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Try to understand it this way. If you were to combine all your CL for all your cards ... what is the total CL ? That total CL is your risk exposure.
What is your income vs. your risk exposure ? They will be in multiples right ? The higher your multiples, the higher your risk rating.
You being a good paymaster is just a factor but it wouldn't help you in this case.

You should have avoided applying for all cards @ the MATTA fair just because you will get money/gifts.
What everyone says is right ... OCBC is right now the hottest card. They will choose their customer and why not ?

I think the salesperson also not clear at all.
They just asking me to apply, which said that, will higher than my current credit card limit,
also will double with my current salary.
Manatahu the credit limit only RM4k.

Feel that no point to hold this credit card, maybe will try for HSBC or CIMB!
*
Oh please ... don't blame others. You are at fault too for not reading the T&C carefully. Would you sign for a home loan without reading the T&C?
Did you ask additional questions to the agent ? Why did you apply the card in the 1st place ... ? It is because the agent sweet talk you or are you sure you fell for the higher than your current CL offer ? (This is called greed BTW)

I'm sure you read the thread before looking for a cc ... and you would have known that never to trust the cc agents. (Unless you never read the thread)
