due to failure to obtain OCBC Ti, i applied for HSBC Visa Classic, which just got approved today. I only knw tat HSBC has a lot of discounts in West Msia but nt East Msia, I'm at East Msia so it's like the cons. I applied coz it's like international. I stil gonna try apply for OCBC Ti. Plan to get 1 mastercard n 1 visa. Anyone got any feedback regarding HSBC Visa Classic or OCBC Visa Gold? or which bank's visa card offers more benefits?

There is a lot of local cc issuers who uses Poslaju as the courier service. Why? Simple, they are the cheapest in town and they also offer a facility where only you can collect the card. (Recipient name need to match their record and cannot use 3rd party to collect)

While I do agree HSBC service has gone down slight as compared to before but perhaps the problem lie with the courier provider as well. Contrary ... my experience with HSBC has been positive but I have cancelled this card a few years ago as their promotion are limited as compared to other cc providers. (I cancelled around the time where there were news that they let go of a lot of CS in Malaysia)

To be fair, I have had my share of horror stories in the past with cc issuers and both local and foreign banks are culprits. However, I would acknowledge that the experience would differ from person to person as the level of personal expectations and tolerance differs.

* Myself lost money when they refuse to acknowledge a payment which I have made to them. (Lucky is it just a small amount) Checked with my friends and a few of them encountered the same thing. I will never return to this card ever!

You still need to have the redemption letter which is issued by SCB or no go. Check with SCB and not EPIC or Machines.
The redemption letter will be used to cross check your info at the collection center.

I think I'll get the iPod Shuffle again but the winners who won both times is rather unfair. (I felt lah)
In the last contest (TV), the T&C clearly stated that they can't be winning twice. And this time got folks who won twice???!!!!!

Maybe I'm rather upset coz I sent the SMS precisely @ the time but I received the confirmation like 45 minutes later. I really don't know how they manage the contest coz it look like got loophole.

Every second there are thousands of sms received by the system, so every sms has to queue up and wait for their turns. I tried both months also received the confirmation after half an hour. Just like when you are sending sms during New Year at 12am sharp. The other party may not get it instantly.
Since you are saying the same person won the first prize in both months (envy), maybe they have a good method or timing of sending sms? Perhaps they know what is the exact time used in SCB? Our 9am sharp maybe 10 seconds late compare to SCB  That is already a big difference.

even you are the first few, they still can change it to other preferred users after referring to the card records... hahaha.,, sure got filter one...
