Since you're a Premier client, you should talk to your RM.

indeed its a good overview. i will try to get my RM 50 charge + 25 for the supp card waived or absorbed by alliance bank based on the amount we spend. it's probably not what they consider "high roller" but it should be hefty enough for them to care if i spend the money with their card or with another smile.gif. renewal date is april so i will post results next month or so when i need to talk to them...

MBF and CIMB/DA. You need to call them to find out the latest promotions.

just call their cs. 10 month for 2% 1 time interest, 20 month for 4% 1 time interest, 30 month for 5% 1 time interest.

btw for cimb card 0% interest only applicable for education, insurance and hospital bill.

Besides that, they have extended and improved their i.pay plan with a min of RM 500 instead of RM 1k.

They may waive the service tax. However in terms of customer service and efficiency, you should know better and it is one of the banks I avoid! biggrin.gif

It is always good to notify the bank 2 to 3 months ahead of the card anniversary date. I definitely don't like to see AF shown on the bill, even though it could be reimbursed later. Besides, you can also plan your next course of action if the bank refuses to waive AF.

hello...need some advice here...
i may need a credit card (or may not). i am just a new working professional, been working for 4 months. calculated my per annum net salary (after minus epf+socso) is < Rm30k. why i say i may need a card coz currently i am pursuing part time study while working and there will be fees incurred that i wont be manage to pay with my 1 month salary alone. actually the fees can be claimed with the firm i'm working with it's just that i have to pay first. so which is the suitable card for a starter like me and from which bank? i may also use the card to purchase few one-off things
anyway, my knowledge about the technical side of owning a credit card is basically zero (like the payment process, interest rates, rebates, balance transfer, fees etc). care to suggest any website links useful for me to read?
thanking in advance notworthy.gif

I don't think he is looking for debit card as he clearly mentioned that he need to use the card to pay some fees upfront before getting reimbursement. I would recommend either Direct Access or CIMB. Just need ur degree cert, pay slip if any plus other docs. but you need to ensure that your company can reimburse within 20 days of the statement date otherwise interest will start to occur.

called SCB and they said i need to wait until the annual fees is charged before they can waive it. anyone has experience this with SCB or other banks? how fast they will process this as I'm afraid with interest etc..

Bank Rakyat is a new credit card provider (just starting early last year or end 2008) and has small customer database. I believe they try to retain and attract more customer with this offer (plus free for life as well). because of the small number of customers you can easily reach their customer service without any hassle. the highest level of card they offered is gold, no platinum smile.gif

No. PBB Flexipay charges 2% for 6 months installment, 3% for 12 months installment or 6% for 24 months installment.
CIMB/DA 0% smart flexi pay plan only apply to education, insurance and hospital bill (refer here)
CIMB/DA i-pay plan charges 2% for 10 months installment, 4% for 20 months installment and 5% for 30 months installment (refer here)

hi all, I got a question here... does the bank look into our previous unsuccessful applications (with other banks) when considering the new application?
