Just potong my Citibank card. As usual, they tried to convince me otherwise but luckily the force is strong with me. smile.gif

Maybank - no chance at all - their hotline is constantly busy. Makes me appreciate the prompt and friendly service I get from HSBC.

Go to their credit card centre at 1U or Mid Valley. May teh force be with you biggrin.gif

yes, it is also true that pigs can fly. whistling.gif
I think you're mistaken with Amex...but Amex only ENDS with 5, it starts with 4.

The RM50 and RM25 service tax for principal and supplementary cards have to be paid to your bank directly. Your bank will then transfer the money to LHDN, not Bank Negara. This one is confirmed.
*
Then I guess LHDN will trasnfer to mr najis?!?!?! sweat.gif

No. Not that easy. You've got to be smart you know in order to keep MACC away from your house.

All the money will go into LHDN bank account. Then our beloved 1PM will come up with more big projects and most of them will be awarded to their cronies. After that 1PM & Co. will get a cut from the total value of the project. They call it "commission" brows.gif Their "cut" will not be deposited into their Malaysian banks accounts. Instead, those contractors involved will have to TT out the money to their own overseas bank accounts, then they will do another transfer to 1PM & Co. offshore accounts drool.gif

I check the cards in my wallet,

HLB & DA MasterCard CC and RHB MC Debit Card all 3 starts with 5.
HSBC, Alliance, Citibank and UOB Visa all starts with 4.

So it seems that way.

Both my Amex CC and charged card starts with 3. Is there any significant if your AMEX starts with 4?

haha.. if you noticed, I didn't curse. I can understand their situation.
The problem is, I just want to confirm whether they've RECEIVED my letter, not to inquire whether my card is CANCELED.

There's a huge difference. 1 is just check whether they got the fax and another is check for the processed status of cancellation. And I assume not everyone faxed in to cancel their cards. smile.gif

No need to fax to cancel CIMB card now. just call their cs. Call before 9.00 am or after 6 pm to avoid congestion. Everybody want to cancel their card now, q calls shoot to 30 starts from 9.00 am. Everybody loves calling from their office tongue.gif

Any comments on Affinbank's cc? They have the lowest finance charge, at 9.99%, with some cashback for retail purchases.

It shows that CIMB Bank is a very inconsistent bank, both in terms of service and informations provided to their customers/potential customers doh.gif

01) Worst Customer Services after office hour Nobody Pick up Calls
02) 9.99% (Actual 14.99%) Just Gimmick
03) 0.4% Cash rebate For monthly Spending below RM1500 Or RM1800 after That 0.80%

Better Consider Alliance Bank (Rebate + Bonus Point)

Have anyone noticed that HSBC CC promotion is begin now?

Purchase at Midvalley & The Garden can get 10x, 20x and 3x for a limited time period... Seems like HSBC not making a big advertisement on this, so not much people know such promotion, even my card holder friend also don't know....

Perhaps it is their strategy to delay and prolong card cancellation process. smile.gif

I did see the newspaper advertisement. The promotion is limited to specific days and even particular hours within the specific days.

i really really wonder the government will impose the rm 50 tax on our cc on 1/1/2010. i just have applied a cc and i found it ridiculous if they charge me rm 50 early in the year.

Never mind. just contribute . good karma.

Gov knows those having cc have at least RM1,800 salary. So RM50 tax is just 2.7% of your salary. So cheap.

Compare to cinema tickets - about 20% entertainment tax. Why no complain?

So you use, you pay. Of course, gov don't consider your other expenses.

We voted for this gov, so bear with it.

agree too... initially CIMB / DA gave 10% rebate on books bought at MPH, but later they withdrew it. I'm wondering whether they will continue the 2% petrol rebate start from 2010.
