Will close all my CIMB accounts and cancel the credit cards. Teach them a lesson.

"Yes sir, our CEO is very influential" (Cheez)

Anyway, Malaysians have short memory. They will get used to the RM50 eventually............. and hurray "RM50 for Life". No more "Free for Life"

i really really wonder the government will impose the rm 50 tax on our cc on 1/1/2010. i just have applied a cc and i found it ridiculous if they charge me rm 50 early in the year.

Never mind. just contribute . good karma.

Gov knows those having cc have at least RM1,800 salary. So RM50 tax is just 2.7% of your salary. So cheap.

Compare to cinema tickets - about 20% entertainment tax. Why no complain?

So you use, you pay. Of course, gov don't consider your other expenses.

We voted for this gov, so bear with it.

hey i like your thinking! yea the way they deliver the message is really really arrogant. how could there is no 'much' decline after so many ppl has already cut their 'extra' mbb cards. that is why i closed my saving account with them and had terminated my only mbb cc too.

don't forget that majority of their customers are government / GLC employees. Therefore, not much effect.

Unlike the old days, they don't depend on us now.

Not just that ... not everybody read this forum. The general public would be happy with the piece of plastic that they own therefore not likely to hop around credit card like the folks here. I can't blame MBB's CEO for saying what he did, I mean even EON Bank published something similar. If you are the employee of that bank, you can't be giving out bad impression of your bank right ?

Very true. Employees are not allow to tarnish the image of the bank otherwise disciplinary action will be taken against them. They have the Corporate Affairs Department to talk journalist and the public.
