Very true, finding a parking at Damansara Heights during office hours can vomit blood; fortunately, i don't have to worry about parking my car.
So did they reactivate the other after you called them?
*
Here's a tip go to Bkt Damansara branch on Friday 12-2pm (during Friday's prayer). You park adhoc-ly and won't get a summon.

HSBC Premier MC starting CL only RM30K? Don't one have to have at least RM200K in some kind of deposit with HSBC to qualify for Premier Account? I would expect a higher CL since my HSBC Plat CL higher RM30K the day I got the card and I don't even have a single sen deposited with them.
Yes. Starting credit line is only RM30k smile.gif

The tension is getting intensified as more and more people are cancelling their cards. One has to make sure that the card is officially cancelled as banks can always argue that they have never received your instruction for card cancellation.

There's nothing wrong with posting in forums in the office when you're free.

haha.. if you noticed, I didn't curse. I can understand their situation.
The problem is, I just want to confirm whether they've RECEIVED my letter, not to inquire whether my card is CANCELED.

There's a huge difference. 1 is just check whether they got the fax and another is check for the processed status of cancellation. And I assume not everyone faxed in to cancel their cards. smile.gif

if go to the branch easy since on the spot got black n white phtostat
if not email is the most convenient since they will email u back
if fax need to call, just take down the name of the customer service exe, date and time...should be ok then, but still will have dispute when the card is not cancelled and RM50 charged doh.gif

He could be a Preferred Banking customer, hence he doesn't need to worry about parking his car.

The best solution is to get a letter of confirmation of card cancellation from the respective bank. From my experience, CIMB, HLB and Alliance can provide the letter but Citibank refused to reply in B&W.

Just to share my experience in canceling my UOB cards. I faxed 1st time...no calls even a month later. Faxed 2nd time, called the card centre to confirm if they received it or not. Was told to email to customer service instead. So I emailed, and about a week later, a customer service called up to try to change my mind. I didn't. Then about 2 weeks later, received the confirmation letter from UOB of terminating my cards.

Just potong my Citibank card. As usual, they tried to convince me otherwise but luckily the force is strong with me. smile.gif

Maybank - no chance at all - their hotline is constantly busy. Makes me appreciate the prompt and friendly service I get from HSBC.

The RM50 and RM25 service tax for principal and supplementary cards have to be paid to your bank directly. Your bank will then transfer the money to LHDN, not Bank Negara. This one is confirmed.
