QUOTE(iamyuanwu @ Oct 29 2009, 10:09 AM) I have to concur with Kotmj. Yup. I am thinking to get a set of dumbbells and get a bench. Just went to Giant, A trojan Bench here is RM 350 (Multi purpose and it looks solid) and A 10kg dumbbells RM135. If buy separately is RM12 per KG. Hm... thinking the price is a bit expensive here in Sabah which is expected. Why not just go get a set of dumbbells NOW, and do something NOW. Two 15kg dumbbells and do floor press, overhead press, rows, swings, snatches, squats, lunges, etc... You can also try the Javorek DB complexes #1 & #2 (link-o-rama) Then add those equipment along they way. You don't need buy them sekaligus. Thanks for your Link-o-rama thread! I will look into that. I will visit another hypermarket tonight and tomorrow will decide which one to buy. Wish List for these 2 days:- 1. 2 x 15 kg Dumbbells 2. A workout bench 3. Jumping Rope 4. Knee Support 5. A carpet (for equipment) This post has been edited by puppytrainer: Oct 29 2009, 03:00 PM |

Many people forget to pay attention to their trapezuis aka trapz. It is the muscle that makes you look big besides your chest and back. There are also some people who train them but are doing it the wrong way ie rolling your shoulders instead of doing a proper shrug.
It's actually an easily trained muscle (all you need to do is to shrug!) with quick noticeable results provided if you shrug the trapezius with the correct form, hold and squeeze it hard, go heavy and have proper protein intake. So here is some inspiration to properly train those traps. http://www.flexonline.com/traps_coleman_ja..._yates/news/993 ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by Florian: Oct 30 2009, 01:12 AM |

I've been going to gym for about 2 weeks now and i'm doing these weights.
Squat 75Kg Deadlift 100Kg Bench Press 50Kg Overhead Press 25Kg ( there's this issue with my shoulder so i don't dare to do heavier in the mean time ) I've adding 5Kg every time i hit the gym for squat and deadlift. 2.5Kg for bench press. Is it balanced? Should i slow down? I'm doing these in good postures though...im doing 1 day rest in between training 1.75cm 88Kg at the moment..planning to go down to 80Kg with more muscle mass and 10%-12% body fat by chinese new year (14th Feb) |

Pasteurisation: Awesome or Complete Garbage?
At last some data and logical debate about milk pasteurisation, and it's possible health risk. Discuss, flame and troll about it. http://brianstpierretraining.com/index.php...mplete-garbage/ |

What are your dietary plans to achieve this? On a side note, I squatted 140KG for 5x5, and guess what happened? My calves hurt. |

QUOTE(iamyuanwu @ Oct 30 2009, 11:37 AM) Pasteurisation: Awesome or Complete Garbage? Yeah, I read a study done by feeding pasteurized and unpasteurized milk to rats, the one fed with unpasteurized milk has more mass than the rat fed with pasteurized milk. The rat with pasteurized milk looked like a cancer patient, while the rat with unpasteurized milk looked normal. At last some data and logical debate about milk pasteurisation, and it's possible health risk. Discuss, flame and troll about it. http://brianstpierretraining.com/index.php...mplete-garbage/ IMO, pasteurization is the only way to transport milk from place to place without spoiling the milk. If the milk is unpasteurized, companies would rugi because they have to replace their milk everyday plus not everyone would buy all the unpasteurized milk in the shop in one day. |

QUOTE is this ur 1rm or wat? all sets are 5X5 QUOTE That's roughly 12% bodyfat. Are you kidding? If you aren't then I must aim for much lower body fat! ^^ I can keep good posture with these weights, no sore, no aches, no discomfort no nothing. And yeah..I'm doing stronglift 5X5 with 5Kg increment and I don't do set A for the first day and set B for the second day. I do set A and B per training. It's like I'm defying what Mehdi said on his website. Should i split em apart and train with 2.5Kg increment as suggested instead? I feel I can go faster though.. I don't know why you guys post pics of such mutant freaks. For me, a much better physique to aim for is this:
[mg]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_sw6-mHqJZVQ/SjefzjUJreI/AAAAAAAAJuE/_1K7gSSpdjs/s1600/corey-61.jpg[/img] [mg]http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_sw6-mHqJZVQ/Sjefu_nnDpI/AAAAAAAAJt8/tl78EMW35WI/s1600/corey-31.jpg[/img] It is the sort of body a human who had to labour with his body could get. It's not a superhyperthrophied steroid-induced mutant. This post has been edited by pizzaboy: Oct 31 2009, 12:06 AM |
