Use bicep curls as a replacement for chinups.

I went to Egonutritions at The Curve yesterday to buy a dip belt. I looked at the size of the chains and asked the guy there if it will fit into a 1 inch weight plate. He says yes. I brought it home ... and no, it doesn't fit into a 1 inch weight plate hole.

u mean the diameter of the weight plate's hole?

Yes. Kamaru now has the choice of firing, beating, then hanging the guy or I shall have to ask some friends to do so.

Do the one-armed suitcase deadlift. You have to grip the barbell really hard to balance it.

One month doing exclusively high volume deadlifts and incline benches while consuming 3g of protein per kg of bodyweight really makes a difference! I spent 4 months on Rippetoe and about 2g/kg, and my chest did not bulk up like they did on this new routine.

You guys should try it. Tsatsouline's DeLorme-inspired 6-week hypertrophy cycle. And 3g/kg.

While we're on the topic of layoffs and DOMS: I'm going through my 3rd week of not working out. I'm eating normally again (carb-heavy), sleeping normally (i.e. not enough), drinking, and going for long periods without food. It feels great to be normal. I'll start working out and eating right again beginning this Sunday.

My gawd. If you don't have small/micro plates, go buy a pair and bring them with you to the gym!

Guys. I'm supposed to start working out today after a 3 week layoff. Thing is, I'm too lazy to. The thought of going all limp through volume deadlifts is scaring me.

Please try to compel me to.

If you're to look at my cholesterol intake for the past 8 months, I ought to have decomposed in some sorry cemetery 6 months ago.

not sure if ur like highly respected here or what but your posts are really weird...

And lots of one liners that don't...work...

My one liners are epic. What doesn't fly here is your beholdenness to the USRDA. None of the regulars here eat anything remotely resembling the USRDA.

My mother and almost everyone I know have no idea how to cook steak. They are so clueless it's positively not funny.

Woops in caseĀ  my post was missed.

Btw, been looking at the whey products at the garage sale and street smart threads...I pening already...
So many brands and so many types, will have to read like crazy to understand all of that lol.

Wana ask, is the Optimal Nutrition 100% Whey good? The 5lbs ones.
Lol cuz its the cheapest.

Link here.

You really are clueless aren't you? Maybe you want to read the archives. We have more important things to discuss, like how to do bicep curls properly in the power rack.

Added on October 6, 2009, 7:28 pmOr, for that matter, where one can buy South American ribeye for a mere RM26/kg.

Thanks for the help.
you're most welcome

Hope that you'll never have to ask questions and find out everything in life by just reading.
You're epic.
I am.

QUOTE
And anyway, pretty sure you'd be able to find the 'proper' way somewhere online or in books.
Go google it or something.
Why discuss it here when it's probably been discussed in so many places before?
Go read it up.
Wait, does that make you clueless too?

You are one sensitive noob. This sort of reasoning sounds like those of my ex-gf.

Shah, in the time you've required to go from noob to asking about proper increments, I had completed Rippetoe's novice program, gained 7 kg and in the midst of Tsatsouline's stuff. You really need to get your act together.

I thought he was feigning stupidity. Now I know he is.

But he is quite likable.

Added on October 12, 2009, 10:38 pmI understand that lots of BB info is presented in a way that a less well-read person will have trouble digesting. There are some humans who have a genetic problem with reading. So to de.crystal:

When you are in the gym, you do these things: SQUAT, DEADLIFT, BENCH PRESS. Ask someone in the gym to teach you how.

Added on October 12, 2009, 10:39 pmRemember: SQUAT, DEADLIFT, BENCH PRESS.

Ada faham?
