Usually after sending in your application to MBB, how to check on the status and after when only can start checking? 0.o

If you're Maybank2u user,then suddenly there's extra ac that means you card already approve.

stupid citibank, they won't waive my annual fee unless I put a DDA instruction with that card. really ..... what kind of customer service is this!

CIMB Bank has year-round promotion only for their Mastercard. The promotion said has been ongoing since last year. For example :
- MPH Bookstores > 10% rebate on every 1st Sunday
- Guardian > 5% rebate on every 2nd Sunday
- ISETAN > 10% rebate on every 4th Sunday
- Cold Storage > 5% rebate on every 4th Sunday
- KFC > 10% rebate on the 1st day of the month
and many more !

**subject to a maximum rebate of RM50 per day per card per outlet with CIMB Mastercard only.

By the way, is CIMB Bank no longer accept new application for VISA (except VISA Infinite) and JCB ? Currently only Mastercard and VISA Infinite are listed in their revamped website.

CIMB or DA also can be used for hypermarket...

Any feedback regarding the accuracy of the credit card list?

HSBC Premier Mastercard issued in Malaysia is actually NOT a World Mastercard, despite World Mastercard is embossed on it. Only Premier Mastercard issued from the following countries are true HSBC Premier World Mastercard :
- HSBC USA
- HSBC Australia
- HSBC New Zealand
- HSBC Japan



And by the way, there are indeed co-branded Platinum credit cards in Malaysia. For example :
- EON Bank Pavillion Mastercard
- EON Bank GSC VISA
- EON Bank The Store Mastercard
- EON Bank Pacific Mastercard
- EON Bank Ming Heng Mastercard
- EON Bank Audi Circle Mastercard
- CIMB Bank Enrich Mastercard

Guys, for SCB JustOne, how do you keep track of the total cash rebates you've received? Manually by Excel? There should be a way to keep track since the total allowed is only RM600 per year. I asked SC and they replied:

just tell them u dont have any. then ask them.. how? and you do not want to be charged. for me if they dont waive it.. i will cancel on the spot.

how are we wnsure about this? im also arguing with one of my fren, im saying not under world mastercard category, while he insists yes it is.

Do tell them nicely and don't threathen them. We don't advocate such behaviours. No need to get upset if they do not want to waive you coz they do not publish it as a AF Free card in the first place in case you want to compare them with other banks. It is their right to charge you AF coz they publish it and they are after all a commercial entity.

If they don't want to waive then cancel the card unless you are hard up about the card then you have no choice lah.

Added on August 26, 2009, 10:13 amI used to have this card and I can tell you that this card does not fall under the World Mastercard category. Only the word "World" is printed on the card but priviledge is the same as Platinum level card. Card design is standardised across all HSBC but World Mastercard priviledge does not exist for HSBC in Malaysia. To me they can call their card whatever they like but the priviledges need to come together with the ownership of the card. An example .... who would want a Platinum card with basic CL and priviledge just like a basic cc but pay high AF and require high card membership requirement.

Don't believe me ? Try this ... walk into HSBC branch and say you want a World Mastercard, note down what would the bank's response would be. Can even try this at their Premier center.

my hsbc amanah is overdue ... the problem is i never received the statement n i onli noe its overdue when the collection dept called in ... i say im gonna pay immediately n request a waiver on the late payment charges ... the cs said i can onli request when the charges reflect on my next statement how come DA can straight away waive n deduct it out so i can make a proper payment amount????

as for the citibank platinum visa oversea spending ... no 1 noes the 2x points stil exist???

i checked page 1 ... it onli stated the charges upon currency conversion ... if any1 had tried a few cards ... i would like to ask which bank offer lowest rate ... e.g visa or master?

No need argue. You can call up Mastercard Malaysia directly or check it via their website if in doubt

just check your eStatement every month which shows you the total cash rebate that you have earned

You can either call Mastercard regional office directly (as Hye suggests) or google it. You will find that that HSBC Premier World Mastercard is only issued in :
- HSBC USA
- HSBC Australia
- HSBC New Zealand
- HSBC Japan
as previously mentioned. Nobody knows what category HSBC Premier Mastercard issued in all other countries belong to but since its perks offered is exactly the same as HSBC Platinum VISA, one can assume that it is a Platinum credit card.

When I find further detail in MasterCard website, the only 2 banks listed to offer World MasterCard which are CIMB & MBF cards only.

I don't have the cards, so cant comment for the service.

The good point is the cash withdraw fee is the lowest, 3% or RM30 whichever is higher.
