HSBC Premier Mastercard issued in Malaysia is actually NOT a World Mastercard, despite World Mastercard is embossed on it. Only Premier Mastercard issued from the following countries are true HSBC Premier World Mastercard :
- HSBC USA
- HSBC Australia
- HSBC New Zealand
- HSBC Japan
And by the way, there are indeed co-branded Platinum credit cards in Malaysia. For example :
- EON Bank Pavillion Mastercard
- EON Bank GSC VISA
- EON Bank The Store Mastercard
- EON Bank Pacific Mastercard
- EON Bank Ming Heng Mastercard
- EON Bank Audi Circle Mastercard
- CIMB Bank Enrich Mastercard
- CIMB Bank TnG Mastercard
- CIMB Bank Petronas Mastercard
- Maybank Petronas VISA
and many more !

Thanks. I didn't noticed there's actually a lot co-brand platinum card. smile.gif

You can either call Mastercard regional office directly (as Hye suggests) or google it. You will find that that HSBC Premier World Mastercard is only issued in :
- HSBC USA
- HSBC Australia
- HSBC New Zealand
- HSBC Japan
as previously mentioned. Nobody knows what category HSBC Premier Mastercard issued in all other countries belong to but since its perks offered is exactly the same as HSBC Platinum VISA, one can assume that it is a Platinum credit card.

I can't sure when writing HSBC Premier as world MasterCard, but I do get the info from others forum before.
When I find further detail in MasterCard website, the only 2 banks listed to offer World MasterCard which are CIMB & MBF cards only.

So you are right. smile.gif

Mind to tell why you want to apply Bank rakyat credit card since there's a lot credit card to choose from.
I don't have the cards, so cant comment for the service.

The good point is the cash withdraw fee is the lowest, 3% or RM30 whichever is higher. thumbup.gif

For getting second card for HSBC, it took less than a week for me to receive the card. An agent call me to ask to get second card, I agree then she came to my house to collect my signature. If you have agent to serve you, why don't use it since they earn commission as well.

But no free gift loh. sad.gif

Agree with you that getting more card is so mafan, coz you need to take care of it. Keep it in wallet afraid wallet lost, keep in house afraid break in. So less card is less risk. tongue.gif I only keep few cards only and cut those no longer use. Remember must redeem the points(if you have) first before u cut it.
