Hello all,

I would like to know if I can use my Maybank credit card to pay HLB loan?

And let say if I want to use Cash Advance, wat do I do? Go to the ATM? Get the money from the counter? Do I need to call them up or anything?

Thanks a lot smile.gif

It means let say you got two citibank credit cards and they got own credit limit respectively, thus will add up ur credit limit..But now, your credit limit based on individual highest credit limit and not combined as previously...

I doubt you can use CC to repay a loan or hire purchase. Somebody did raise this before.

On the other way, it's totally unwise to perform any cash advance due to the exorbitant financial charge (in daily basis). You need a PIN for your CC to perform cash advance at ATM. Also bear in mind that there're an upfront financial charge for the withdrawal and financial charge will be imposed from the day you perform the withdrawal till you clear the withdrawn outstanding amount.

Do you know that youll be charged a fee upon withdrawal of cash with your CC and then you'll be charged interest daily until you settle the withdrawal amount together with the interest charges. Better you go find another altenative...... maybe to the extend of selling off your car or changing to kancil.

Thanks. I didn't noticed there's actually a lot co-brand platinum card. smile.gif
I can't sure when writing HSBC Premier as world MasterCard, but I do get the info from others forum before.
When I find further detail in MasterCard website, the only 2 banks listed to offer World MasterCard which are CIMB & MBF cards only.

So you are right. smile.gif

Mind to tell why you want to apply Bank rakyat credit card since there's a lot credit card to choose from.
I don't have the cards, so cant comment for the service.

The good point is the cash withdraw fee is the lowest, 3% or RM30 whichever is higher.  thumbup.gif

By reading the small broucher, stated no annual fee, debt cover by insurance, point can be convert to RM or
add to some holiday package, also can pay zakat. But not sure ... on balance transfer. 1 must off.
Don't want to have 2 CC. hmm.gif

If you like the card then by all means just go and get it. The regular folks here have been using cc for a while, so likely they have their own preferences. If you ask any of us then we will then you apply this and that but I always say to everyone that ask me, cc is an individual choice coz only you yourself knows your own spending patterns.

No such thing as best credit card in Malaysia ... it is all a matter of preferences.

You should give CIMB Bank a serious consideration. I also believe CIMB Bank credit card balance transfer is one of the most best in town. It also has many promotion year-round. I'm not exactly a fan of CIMB Bank as i find their customer service sucks (tellers are fine but those customer service staff suck BIG TIME). However, they do have one hell of a credit card thumbup.gif

CIMB Bank is everywhere in Malaysia, easier for you to make credit card payment smile.gif

Depending on the bank that you choose to apply from and method of your application submission. Some are faster than others and some are ultra slow. It also depends on your luck ... same cc product but some people takes a while to be approved and some are very quick.
