Has anyone here tried using Mastercard's paypass feature at KFC? I've been dying to try it whenever I buy KFC but I don't want to experience a failed transaction for a RM10 meal in front of a lunch hour crowd. Oh and one more thing, just to make sure. Better be an idiot now than an idiot later. If the paypass logo is on the card (specifically at the back of the card), it means the card can be used for paypass? Card in question is CIMB Petronas. Thanks for the info on paypass. Any GSC EON BANK cc user here? Just received mine yesterday and I couldn't get it to link to my GSC account. I got an error msg saying ' Wrong IC Number. Please re-enter'. Called up EON Bank cs; according to them the problem is not from their end since my IC is correct in their system. The cs asked me to contact GSC instead. So I mailed GSC around 5PM and to my surprise their (GSC) cs called me about 45 mins later. Problem is still unresolved though as it was beyond their working hours and their techies weren't around. The cs promised to look into it tomorrow.

QUOTE(eddievh @ Aug 1 2009, 02:33 PM) Rebat for DA only right? CIMB one no rebate right? Not sure about other CIMB cc but I can confirm that the 5% rebate applies to CIMB Petronas Mastercard. Obviously this 5% rebate applies only if you pump at Petronas.

I tried using paypass at KFC today, and as I half-expected after hearing similar stories in this thread, the cashier didn't know how to use it. She had to swipe, with the help of the manager somemore.

QUOTE(Crys_Crys @ Aug 6 2009, 03:39 PM) what is the use of emergency contacts? Say if you have not been paying your bills... and you turn off/unplug your phone because you want to avoid anyone from the bank calling you, that's when they call your 'emergency contact'.

Uh oh, I think I messed up. I bought something that I can't normally afford with the intent to convert it to CIMB iPay Plan. After making the purchase, I re-read their T&C, and only then did I notice: QUOTE 5. Not applicable for CIMB Bank Partner Cards and CIMB Bank Platinum BusinessCards that earn cash rebate and double Bonus Points. The card in use was CIMB Petronas. Is it possible to convince the CS to somehow convert my purchase to installments? Anyone with the experience?

Regarding the HSBC security device.. I used to help my dad with his online banking, and at the same time I used his account to pay my bills.
Since it was a hassle to ask him for the device every time, I copied a few of the numbers generated by the device. Every single time any of the number works without having to generate a new one. No idea about now though...

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Aug 16 2009, 12:15 AM) So the conclusion is that, you cannot use numbers that were used before. You also cannot generate several numbers through the security device, write them down and use it later/next time because their system do not accept it. I do not know how the hell HSBC make it but i'm impressed !!!! How does the security device look like now? Is it still the black thingy?

QUOTE(btr999 @ Aug 19 2009, 10:06 PM) I need some useful and supportive advices here. I am a new graduate just get a job and want to apply a cc, i have at least 22k annual salary. the card will be used mainly for buying stuff online(like ebay) and for groceries at local hypermarkets(mainly tesco, giant & carefour). i dont understand much about cc just basic functions i need to know which card get a better rebate and lowest interest charge(this sounds important to me :S). which bank credit card will be most suitable? For lowest interest charge, go for Affin Bank (9.99% P.A). Their CC is truly free for life as well, no minimum swipes needed. But other than that they're probably the worst in terms of rewards and all. You may want to check up this site for lots of useful info: http://1-million-dollar.blogspot.com/2009/...t-cards-in.html Added on August 19, 2009, 10:33 pmQUOTE(Miss 1 @ Aug 19 2009, 02:01 PM) I am planning to apply for cc. preferably CIMB Petronas CC. but if u guys hv any other suggestion, pls do tell me. i just need some advices from otai2.
