oh thanks for ur suggestion, btw how bout if i pump petronas or mobile petrol? any nice card to intro? even a all 'rounder'?

Both of these two stations also accept AMEX. Just that you need to swipe your AMEX at the cashier counter at all Petronas station. As for Shell, you can swipe your card directly at the petrol kiosk.

Wow ! That was a long time ago. More and more merchants are starting to accept AMEX, thanks to Maybank i suppose thumbup.gif

now i apply the amex gold cc using my hsbc premier cc ... i stil wonder y they take so long to response???? even wan reject oso shud gif a notice ma ... if they r checking records ... as a hsbc premier account holder , how bad would his credit be???
Certain Premier account holders do have huge risky debts laugh.gif And not to mention that certain people already convert their account to Premier/Citigold/Priority Banking when they only meet the minimum requirement with not much cash to spare. They join it because they want to be in the affluent crowd doh.gif

I was also told that not all HSBC Premier customers have good credit score. Certain HSBC Premier customers only pay the minimum of their credit card bill most of the time, just like the majority of the mass banking crowds. And these are the people that you'd expect to settle their credit card bills in full every month. Surprise surprise laugh.gif

@J'Daniel,
Interest rates will be applicable for the rest of the monies owing based on the tier you're currently on. As long as U pay the minimum payment, ur tier rate will not increase but U will definitely be paying quite a bit of interest.

thanks for the reply ..

so if i can't even settle the total min payment , my interest tier will increase n there is also late payment charge ?

in that case, if my min is 1.2k and i only able to pay 500, does the 500 make any differences ?

for your min to hit 1.2k, your total outstanding in your card is more than 10k?
the 500 will reduce the interest payable but you will still have late payment + increase in tier + no interest free period

Dad has their VISA. 100% confirm no. None of their Mastercard range of credit cards have the Paypass feature either.

I think for foreign bank, only UOB is promoting Visa Wave. As for local banks, Maybank and EON are in this. Both are also offering cards with Paywave capability on top of Visa Wave.

For Mastercard Paypass, it'll be CIMB.

it will be late payment if the minimum amount is not reached? thus, affecting your credit ratings?

that is the reason why it's called minimum payment. if you pay the minimum payment promptly, your credit rating should not be affected. but this does not apply to partial of minimum tongue.gif

so your friend is correct IF you FULLY pay the minimum payment.

Alliance give you up to 1.3+% cash back rebate (any transaction) on money spent up to RM5000. They also give me some points but I never get around to finding what are those points for.

BTW, between Platinum Mastercard and Visa from SCB, which is better?

Alliance points are similar to other card rewards points i.e. can redeem for vouchers/stuffs. One major benefit of Alliance is that the is no admin fees on Alliance side and you will get 2X points for overseas transactions.

Should be about the same. The JustOne card was on Mastercard and the Platinum Business is on VISA. As already mentioned, new application for JustOne accounts are now suspended.

Wao two months, why they took so long? But at least they approve and plus additonal 2K credit limit, not bad at all.
So when they told you to collect the card?
