I already called ambank to inform them about this and they told me they received several call regarding the same issue too. This is bad because the syndicate are using the exactly same number as their call centre , which is really convincing. How the heck they are able to get that number i am wondering

I just received my GSC-Eon Bank card. biggrin.gif
Kind of surprised as the bank officer asked me to apply when I did not really want to since my application for a normal Eon card late last year was rejected.
*
oh..my recently application to Eon-GSC card was rejected bcoz of un-fulfil document required.
see whether they will send me the GSC-Eon card o not...
haha

Everyone beware of latest scam, which claim call from Ambank regarding pending transaction of RMxxxx amount from +60321788888 , which is totally same number as AMbank customer services number. I have missed the call and they actually leave a voice mail sounds like this.
" You have a pending transaction of RM 3,812 , Please press 1 to approve the transaction, if you need any help from operators press 9. "

The fishy part of this is the calling number itself, everyone watch out. I believe this is to get our CVV code and some confidential information of our current card.

** By the way i dont have AMbank Credit Card doh.gif

Thanks for reminding.

Btw, few days ago, after 6pm, i received a call from Standard Chartered Bank (no worry, this 1 not scam) who offering me Standard Chartered Gold card. btw, he got my number from Standard Chartered KL marathon event! blooody bad event organised! so im going to pijak him!

he keep promote SC gold card how great like 0.5% cash rebate on all purchase, and also rebates on insurance premium! i throw my Direct Assess which give 2% cash rebate on petrol and also OCBC who gives cash rebate on GE insurance...

he just say thank you and hang up. haha

Last time Hong Leong Bank also got this kind of credit card, but don't know why it no longer at the market anymore
Yes, the idea quite good, as many road user no need to top up the amount, and the fee will charge to the card automatically, plus it got 2x point.

it's based on the lousy Zing card just like MBB
Reload fees are very high :-
RM100 reload - RM1.50 fee
RM200 reload - RM2.00 fee
RM300 reload - RM3.00 fee

I reload at ATM for only RM0.50 on any amount.

Yes, lousy Zing card! Not worth. The good thing is automatically reloaded once your balance drops to certain threshold.

You can do it online. In fact, some banks offer exclusive reward for online application.

hi every1,

I'm a freelance contractor in PC services. On September last year 2008 since I was retrenched, my wife lent me her credit card for daily use such as buying petrol etc so I can find business to cover our expenses. Before the card is given to me, her payment is doing good as she planned well to clear the amount she spent.

However, after I used it for 3 months, the card is blocked due to bad payment, it is my fault. I didn't manage well to pay the minimum charges on time and I always delay it. Currently the debt is cleared on March 2009 and it's been 5-7 months since the card being blocked. We have tried every method by calling to c/card centre, or write-in to Maybank but what we get is bad news. At last even my wife giving up applying Maybank c/card, tend to switch to other bank and surprisingly the application is rejected too due to the bad record.

Any1 here can help me on this matter? My wife remains 2 cards now which is from RHB and UOB, she could not apply new cards anymore. It's not her fault and I'm willing to take all the responsibility, hoping she could get another chance to continue using the Maybank c/card so are the others. I'm looking forward to any of the kind and professional friends around here to offer me your help or opinions. Thank you and really appreciated..!!!

You should wait & apply new card after a year. The CCRIS report is showing your debt record for 12 month.
You should "clean" the record during the year.

Certain banks open on Sunday too (only selected branch). You can download the forms online. Read the instructions and submit all documents as requested.

Most people here are busy and working 6 days a week as well but many already have more than 2 credit cards, just so you know.
