so effective 1 july, 3 days grace period after due date given before bank can impose late payment charge on us..that is great news...
i have some issues with some banks that count after 10pm on due date consider (or posted) as the next day & they can happily charge us late payment charge... as far as i concern, 10pm still in the due date... they should count on the day we cash deposit the money...not by the day their lousy computer system posted it.... |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 27 2009, 12:32 AM) @he-sham, my case i already asked for waiver...he said will be waive on next statement...so ok la...but when the statement come, i see no waiver...thats really made me angry...becoz thats retard my payment record as not a good payer... In those situations, U could always call the CS up and ask them to waive the late finance charges + whatever interest charged straight away i call them back, stressing my point...lucky the cs ok & polite..if not i gonna bash him even though not his fault...now waiting for them to waive it... why la so efficient in imposing late payment charge but not so efficient in waiving customer request... the bank use camel as a logo...hehe |

QUOTE(pisang @ Jun 29 2009, 11:27 AM) aiyar.. really kena la... yerp..this was what exactly i said before..my DA is still not bad, get 2% on petrol every month, without fail, without any condition. no matter how much the percentage of rebate the're giving, if they cap us maximum rebate for each cradholder OR the maximum cash rebate pool given by them OR must have some carry forward balance in the card account , there's no point jumping for the promotion... better get unlimited cash rebate with no condition if u're big spender....sometime the % of rebate make us excited... if i'm the bank.... i also can give 200% cash rebate but cap to rm2/month maximum for each cardholder.....haha...its good rite.. at least get rm2 rebates with minimum spending...hahaha |

QUOTE(hye @ Jun 29 2009, 10:57 AM) I wouldn't encourage doing this under normal circumstances and only to consider doing this in an emergency as it is expensive and painful on the finance charges. Note the Cash Withdrawal Fees (I think it is 5%) plus the finance charges starts right from the day you withdraw your cash. yerp....if u got robbed & all cash gone while at oversea, let say in kenya or somewhere in south america... it's useful u know to have a cc that can withdraw cash money..... thats what i called emergency...& FYI cash advance fee for bank islam only 3.5%... |

i surveyed around the garden no ocbc representative offering the card... later that day i went to the ocbc branch near victoria station, they said only generic, titanium & platinum card only available for application... so apply for titanium....within 1 week approved... the card looks good with curvy sides... but the annual fees quite high which is rm250 p.a...but waiveable if spend rm6000 yearly.. free access to plaza premium lounge KLIA only with ticket purchase over rm3000...haiyaa...should apply platinum instead... |

QUOTE(Reventon @ Jul 13 2009, 10:25 PM) TP & MR is two different point system, you can't combine the overall point to have redemption. Althought M2U shows the total overall points but it's different when comes to redemption. ohh..like that one kaa... i thought only amex charge card is different..so that mean amex gold credit card & ikhwan amex also cant combined with normal treatpoints ? |

currently i have issue with eonbank..... during last march or april pc fair, their cc agent approached me & persuaded me to apply for pavilion cc....i said i'm not interested since i already have matta...but he promised me to give separate limit..then ok la...applied with him...
when got the card, it's combined limit with my existing card...so i planned to cancel it straight away....but in the starter pack of the pavlion card that i received got one promotion leaflet about cash rebate using the pavilion card... for gold rm100 (for minimum rm300 spending) & platinum rm200 (for minimum rm500 spending)... so i decided to keep the card since it got the promotion...i checked the T&C, it mention only for newly approved eonbank pavilion credit card...so ok la.....i used the card the the required amount as mentioned in the leaflet for me to be eligible to get the cash rebate....i used it within the promotion period....but till now no cash rebate....i went to their card center for complain last monday....i bring together the leaflet & my statement...their customer service counter representative also not know about the promotion (which ended already)...her superior said its is because the promotion only valid for new to bank customer....i said it never mention in T&C plus they send the leaflet together with the starter pack of my pavilion card...if i'm not eligible to the promotion why sent me the leaflet together with the starter pack ?? i insisted to see their manager.....but their manager was having meeting all day...so they said will contact me later.....today they called me, saying the same thing....no cash rebate since i'm not new to bank customer....but they offered me a gift which is a document bag they claimed worth rm200.... i said i still not satisfy since i want cash rebate, not bag....then i said i will proceed to make a formal complain to consumer body..& then she said ok la ... its getting interesting haaa...currently i'm in between jobs..so got nothing to do....wanna bash some inefficiency of banking services....give them a run for my money...only after settle this dispute, i'll cancel my card...haha.... latest update, on the same day, at 7pm, the same girl called me and said they will entitle me the cash rebate over the issue...the rebate will be reflected in my account within 10 days.....haha....i'm totally happy !!
u all can read the T&C here... clearly not mention anything about new-to-bank customer..... but in their FAQ is difference....got new to customer thinggy...plus must apply only at their card center or pavilion..u all also can read it here... but the leaflet i received together with my starter pack only has T&C...no FAQ..so based on the leaflet & T&C, i think i have a case for claiming the rebate...... T&C no 13 "These Terms and Conditions shall prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any promotional materials (including without limitation printed brochures, leaflets or flyers) advertising the Cash Rebate promotion." but if i wanna fight also i think i lose because the have clause no 12 in T&C.. "EBG reserves the right, at anytime without prior notice, at its absolute discretion to vary, modify, change, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions and to extend, shorten, cancel, terminate or suspend the Cash Rebate campaign without being liable to the Cardholders for any loss or damage howsoever suffered or incurred by the Cardholders as a direct or indirect result of the exercise by EBG of any of its right reserved herein." they can add anything they like in T&C...... by the way, i'm not over reacting...i just wanna give them run for my money...hehe...no harm to me as i'm the one using their facility....if they didnt give the rebate also i can just cancel the card la.. |

recently i called direct access customer service line to request of resend my cc statement....
at the end of the conversation, she asked if there are any other things that she can help.... hmm...nothing to ask but just wanna know my current interest rate... then i asked her about tiered interest rate for both of my cards... i have both visa & master with them with share credit limit... i rarely used visa....only recently i used it since got rebate at giant... but master i always use to pump petrol la.... she said my master is 13.5%p.a while visa 17.5%p.a....i question her why different % since i activated both the cards at the same time & always pay on time..... she said by their review, i frequently used master only...so, only master entitle to 13.5%p.a....hmm... although no concern to me as i pay in full every statement due date, but i curious why its different ? so is that mean interest rate for an unused active card will stay at 17.5%p.a eventhough it has been active more than 12 months (which means no late payment within the last 12 months)... as far as i know, i guess no payment in 12 months is a subset of no late payment for 12 month... huhu...so by right the card should be 13.5%p.a of interest rate as well |
