There's quite a difference between the machine chest press and regular bench presses. I can do 220lbs on the machine for reps but only ~140lbs 3RM with free weights.

Been training seriously since January this year. I only really do BB bench presses for warming up and the occasional PR attempt. I quote something about losing fat.
QUOTE What about if you're on a fat loss program and you're doing weights and cardio the same day? You have a few good options. One, do your cardio only early in the A.M. on an empty stomach, then eat meal one immediately afterwards. Hit your weights in a separate session later in the day - late morning, afternoon or evening. Me think the smith machine barbell is less than 10kg.
The standard barbell is around 10kg, and the longer barbell around 15kg - 17kg. Most people round it up to 20kg. |

QUOTE(reddice @ Aug 3 2009, 09:16 PM) and i ask the heaviest he can bench..he said 115 kg.. Fat is useless man. Some of the regulars here who did this more than 1 year+, but when the take off their clothes, the fats are still there. They can do chin up, dips and etc. But body shape, toning is not there, other word = fugly.but he is not ripped and can be consider fat....im very amazed...i ve seen them push it with his dad..but can be consider 2 people pushing...but t his time alone....100kg..8 rep...damn.... im gonna try 60kg tomorow..been stuck at 55kg around 2 weeks Like what most people do, you go to gym definitely you want to gain muscles and be strong, but what is your long term goal? You want to look fugly like that forever, even if you can bench press 100kg or 150kg? Now I see them doing cardio almost everyday, but to no avail, no difference at all. They should cut first before bulking. The bad side is the fats around their body is too much, BF around 30%. If they cut now, they are going to be kucirat again. Some of them have big calves, but when you look at it, you can see there are fats around the calves area. You want to be a lean big beast, not a fat ass beast. |

That's quite true, that is why arabian guy who's into this bodybuilding for 4 years+ doesn't even have 4 pack. Because he told me that, he only focus more on strength all this while, then recently he cakap wanna focus more on cardio to get some nais abs. I think he neglect abs workout last time, lawl!I didn't look down on anyone, people who workout are hardworking people. I just feel that they don't have proper goals. It's up to them, doesn't concern me anyway. * Today is my first attempt of 110kg squat, hopefully I can make it at least 4reps. This post has been edited by zeist: Aug 4 2009, 02:27 PM |

If they only care about increasing their poundages, then that's their goal. This is in complete contradiction to all the shit-talking you do on here about all the people you see at the gym and how much you hate them for not looking like the cover of a Men's Health magazine. The funny thing is, I can't recall you ever putting up photos of YOURSELF for others to judge, much in the same way you feel quite happy throwing shade at random people you see in the gym. |

Arabian guys tend to be his favorite examples in terms of physique and strength. Don't forget that. The funny thing is, I can't recall you ever putting up photos of YOURSELF for others to judge, much in the same way you feel quite happy throwing shade at random people you see in the gym. To judge or classify people is up to you. However, to a certain extend , take a good look at yourself before start throwing funky comments on fat people who bench 150 or whatsoever. Btw, do post a video of your 110 squat. It sounds very inspirational. |

I don't know why you guys are so critical of Zeist. Well OK, he does not show too much tact, but his views are not particularly exotic. I think many of you with high bodyfat percentages are somewhat insecure about this fact.
