Hi guys, sorry to bug you all but I have some questions regarding benching.

So I've started my first bench last week, I know its kinda late since I've been working out for a month already. been doing flat dumbbell chest presses though.
I benched with pyramid sets : 10x10kg, 8x15kg, 6x20kg, [4x25kg]x2 and this does not include the bar. I have no idea how heavy a bar is.

I am uncertain regarding the weights I am doing. I see other people benching way more than I am. I think I am doing way too light but since its my first time is it normal?

Also, I'm quite worried about my form.. do you have to arch your back as I've seen in some youtube videos? I lay flat on the bench with my legs on the ground.

I am going for a chest workout tomorrow, so Im hoping you guys could help me out.

I don't get you. Are you doing barbell bench presses or DB bench presses? Don't bother about the weights other people are lifting. What they lift won't benefit you.

As for form, a slight arch in your back is fine. And keep your legs on the ground for stability.

About nutrition right, for those of you that started out thin, how long did ya'll continue with protein shake intake? Like do ya'll still continue after you goals were achieved or stop there n then?

I started at 60kg, took 2 small tubs of whey, 1 ON Serious Mass, and not taking protein supplements ever since. Am 76kg now. I don't think many ppl will stop wanting to take protein supps cz they are convenient, the limiting factor is cash.

No money, no muscle.

are steroids legal in malaysia?
i asked some people who said they are legal(i mean can be bought in pharmacy) in some states and Illegal in some.

in my country it is ok to have steroids but you can not buy most of them from pharmacy without doctor recommendation. but there are legal companies who you can get steroids however the price is higher than pharmacy. now im stuck in malaysia(no offense.i love it here:) ) and dont know what to do...either i have to buy expensive fake stuff or wait a long time until i return to my country...

steroids are legal anywhere else in the world
in malaysia, its not restricted under the akta dadah berbahaya (dangerous drugs act)
please check out i think section 7 and/or section 57 i cant remember

i know where and price for steroids and i've done a concise research on this subject

There are ways to find out whether a person took steroids or not.

yeah but some people whom are naturals look like they take steroids too
some of the indications are

1) acne scars on their body (a lot...body acne is purely hormonal albeit sometimes bacterial but usually entails use of hormone treatment etc like steroids)
2) gynecomastia - female boobs on man
3) ultra big - look at ronnie coldman, durian yates, kevin lebrong, etc and compare them with defranco, mentzer and arnie

if u guys look at my posts, i never disagree with the use of steroids cuz i think its just a way of skirting the natural methods but never condone the use of it cuz i myself dont...its expensive, potentially destructive, requires a heap of education on your own, trial and errors, bombs by people in the threads especially in bb.com and t-nation, questionings, and most of all ULTIMATE COURAGE and again EDUCATION
