now, there are plenty of 16:9 lcds around. dell, benq, asus, viewsonic n acer. compare the price, all seem really competitive. 24" full hd around ~rm1200 which can be consider a good price.

...so right now, haven't decide which one to buy!.hehe

In Kuantan, 2253LW also sell around RM8++ but suddenly price drop to RM799 and I got another discount. Only one shop here displaying 2253LW, other need to order.

2253LW came out after 2253BW as a replacement of 2253BW. Don't ask me why the size difference. May be samsung found out that 21.6" is the perfect size to lower the manufacturing cost and economical.

You have to ask. no all shop put all LCD for show. I buy Samsung 943BWX also ask de. I see all shop (should be all) only show 943NWX LCD only. Clear old stock ma. haha

Try go Compumart 3rd Floor Saberkas ask. They should have detail. Yea I buy LCD from there, quite cheap

I just bought a new samsung LCD and i enter the secret menu to check whether the LCD is new or not

And inside there are few other settings that i can set and i would like to know whether i should turn in off or on

my original setting :
pixelshift =off
hdcp hotplug =off
hotplug time = 9

what is the above means?

should i turn on the pixelshift?

so what is the best setting?

Hey guys, finally gonna upgrade my 19" BenQ. Thing is im not sure if i should go for either the 22" or 24". I think i read somewhere 2ms is important for gaming ya ? Anyways my budget is around 1.2k, appreciate any tips or guidance.

There are a few brand new 19" monitors being sold for less than RM500 like BenQ G900W or 18.5" G900HD, ViewSonic (forgot its model)

why some 24 "LCD monitor more expensive than the 32" TV LCD ??? bcoz of the quality ??

Mostly is because of the resolution, if i mistaken you compare those 32" HD ready to those high end 24" LCD monitor.
For the high end 24" LCD they using better panel at 1920*1200 pixel but 32" HD ready TV is using 1368*768 pixel only.

i was wondering, what's the purposes of owning several monitors?
i saw a lot of forummers actually have own two monitors and above.
cause planning to buy monitor. i dont know whether go for 1 unit of 24" monitor or 2 unit of 22" monitors.
find out owning 2 monitor is kinda cool but i still don know what is the purposes of owning 2 monitor tho.

If you don't see any gains with extra monitor then go for 24" of course. Since you don't know the purpose, it'd mean you don't need it.

I don't use 2 monitors cos my eyes cannot support more than one.

some people do multitasking like multiple word applications, multiple excel applications and multiple other apps... XD like my office, almost all pc in my office are dual monitor, as we need to view a lot of screens at the same time, not feasible to keep switching tabs...

dunno much about using two monitors, but usually people who uses design softwares use two monitors. and people who plays games a lot while downloading and surfing. one monitor used for playing the games and the other one to be used as monitoring downloads and stuff. but, our eyes can only focus on one thing at a time. think about it..

any Asus LCD user here?

Another example just like someone using one monitor watching market share rate / football match another one use for surfing / playing games.

they can get the latest news without any clicking, just moving their eyes. (A sound ~> "Goal !!!" Eyes change monitor )

It sound like you experience in it Anyway base on the need, some ppl need dual LCD display and mostly is for those graphic designer.
For me i more using VNC and remote desktop to do my works since i need to do several tasks in several machines and lazy to walk around

Previous HD4670 user report in, this card is good and able to pair with my 24 inch LCD as well but no to mention playing high performance game in the 22 or 24 inch native resolution.
If you not a gamer, 128 bits HD4670 is doing well for HD movie, anime, graphic and some decent games.

What shop LG 2252WTQ RM 600?Or where did u see?

That true..L226WT only RM589 and L2242T-BF only RM599 at Lowyat Prestige IT .....

LG 2252 is sold for RM650 lar.
2242 and 226 for RM600.

this is correct. I'm currently using dual 17" lcd with my C2D rig....been running this setup for the past 2 weeks or so...while waiting to get a 22" lcd...

IMO, very good for multi-tasking....surfing LYN on 1 screen, surfing DCM on another....

Since the LG 226 is so cheap, has anyone seen it before? What is the colors like? I've been reading 30 pages at HardForum and 13 pages at Anandtech and most they talk about is where to get it as opposed to what colors it is producing. with 1000:1 typical Ratio, supposedly be better than the other LG 2252wtq with 700:1, from the specs no?

Black frame with white stand, at the 1st look u might feel weird with that color mismatch, but after a while of usage u'll get to used with it.

Mine only HD2600XT but can use 22". The problem is not about getting a good resolution but your pc performance when playing games. I have no problem playing DMV4 with my rig although I get lower fps ( 25~30) when playing at high resolution (1280x1024) and using dx10. So, I believe higher range of GC will have no problem.

But if you just want to use for internet, or word and divx movie, lower end gc is enough.

Don't get wrong with LG W2242T with LG W2252TQ. W2242T priced at RM599 while W2252TQ prices at RM9++. The only place I heard selling W2252TQ for RM6++ is at Sunway Pyramid. Heard from one of forumer here. But may be those seller give him wrong model. Lucky him.

i'm very sure that is lg2252wtq,
lg2252wtq is so much different with lg2242,
All it also got lg2252, but the price is RM699

If compare the spec side by side, LG W2252TQ is much better from Samsung 2253LW.

LG have 22" screen size, 10,000 DC and lighter. But the typical contrast only 700.

Never seen this model before, so can't give real life comparison.

BTW, I think LG malaysia wrongly put the resolution size. Suppose to be 1680 x 1050, not 1440 x 900 right?

For me, I only use typical contrast. When I set to dynamic contrast, sometimes the screen will be too bright and too dark. So far, as I'm still less than a week using my lcd monitor, I can't see any use of dynamic contrast.

@minghao. ya mine also until 60Hz only. But i dunno whether other LCD spec can go more higher or not, so i put normally and basically is 60Hz.

I think depend on monitor. Some can go 75, but some can't. I already try setting some lcd monitor to 75Hz but my eye easily get dizzy.

If you want to buy the monitor in kiching, samsung 2253 already sell at RM 899, but you can go for 22" Full HD monitor like BenQ. Not sure if Kuching got sell one.

compare the spec and make sure you have enough budget. you can google for review on both monitors.

i think most LCDs can go 75hz....what i understand is that the higher the vertical refresh rate, the better....take CRTs for example...thay can go 100hz on some units....

and also, the higher, the less the "headache" should be....

i just buy samsung 2253LW yesterday....
i just confuse about the fine control n the auto adjustment button at the LCD cannot use...
It's say "Auto Adjustment Not Available"

Upgraded to Viewsonic VX2835WM from Acer AL2216WBD. Cheap panel but i'm satisfied with it.

coz u using digital cable mah...no need auto adjustment

anyway..the setting im using brightness 20 ...contrast 25...gamma 3....RTA off..color tone normal..RGB all 50 value...

That is a stuck pixel. Dead pixel doesn't have color. Try pressing and rubbing gently on it in circular motion and see if it goes away.

anyone knows whether lyp got sell this 2 new benq models? T2200HD and T900HD. IMHO looks pretty nice to me, with full HD support too. saw the T2200HD at a shop in mines today, but the sales person not sure the price

At 1st I tot that it was a dead pixel, but after rubbing it with finger the dot removed.
It is a colourless particle.
