May i know wat is means by GTG? Because i c the spec is in Response Time  5ms/ 2 ms(GTG), i noob in LCD...lol
grey to grey... grey pixel to (white/black) and back to grey.

Response time.. I would say refer to a full pixel cycle(full pixel twist 0 to 90 and back to 0 degrees).... Black to Full White and back to Black (or W to B to W).

Absolutely no difference with the monitor concern

I spoken to some supplies that samsung is coming out with new model to replace T240. This new model contrast ratio DC 2,000,000:1 anybody hear about this model please infome me cos i am delay my purchase on T240 and wait for this model
Dynamic Contrast only 20,000:1... Typically only 1000:1, The low viewing angle of 160 degrees would indicate a TN panel (S-PVA/MVA/S-IPS tech are much better in colour fidelity, but more expensive).

Does any1 noe where to get the VGA to S-Video cable for a LCD monitor? thank u
There is no miracle cheap converter/adapter/cable that converts VGA to S-Video. There are powered box converters that cost around RM200 or more. Most older GC would have S-video out, no so with the latest ... or most mid to high end TVs now have at least VGA-in....

Then again, there's this thing

DVI - s-Video

http://store.apple.com/my/product/M9267G/A?mco=MTIxODk3Mw

As always, the fruit store sells it way overprice, though i honestly couldn't find any alternative that is readily available locally
Cable by-pass, again, the adapter does not convert analog VGA or digital DVI to analog S-video, the GC on the MacPro/MacBook happens to be able to carry VGA/DVI/S-video/composit/ depending on the adapter attached. Most GCs carries only VGA and DVI/DVI-DL signals through the DVI-I port (DVI-Integrated). Apple "the cut throat corp" fault for not integrating the S-video/composite ports on their products.

It will work for specific overpriced "Fruit store" goodies, it will not work universally with products from other manufacturers (ATI/Nvidia)

That was very educational, cheers.

But some of my friend's laptop don't even come with s-video anymore, just VGA and HDMI.

But what of the Vga- S-video cables, generic types, do they ever work?
Like this....
user posted image
There are only few devices that output the S-video/composite signal through the unused pins of the VGA (D-SUB 15). GCs with this function should come with this adapter. A cable by-pass too.... no special/magical conversion of VGA analog to s-video/composite analog.

......
    * 24" widescreen G2410 offering 1920 x 1200 resolution, retailing for $359 (Estimate to be around RM1.3k)
.....
The resolution is 1920x1080 and the price.... it looks to be a TN panel even with the LED backlight...

Likely teething problems again..... May need to wait at least 2nd reversion...

I would wait for the LED lit 1920x1200 non TN-panel, the 2408wfp successor

The max resolution for VGA analog    is 2048x 1536  if i no mistaken ,btw, wat monitor u using hmm.gif
You are mistaken,... the 400MHz RaMDACs can power a huge resolution even beyond that of DL-DVI. 3840x1200@60Hz resolution is not a problem... by decreasing the refresh rate even higher resolution can be obtained (for example 3840x2400@30Hz)
