Your monitor sizes comparison doesn't have 17" widescreen. Anyway, I added that one here....

Mostly is because of the resolution, if i mistaken you compare those 32" HD ready to those high end 24" LCD monitor.
For the high end 24" LCD they using better panel at 1920*1200 pixel but 32" HD ready TV is using 1368*768 pixel only.

For more details you can refer here.

It's actually 1366*768 smile.gif

That is a stuck pixel. Dead pixel doesn't have color. Try pressing and rubbing gently on it in circular motion and see if it goes away.

First of all, both are catered for different market, there's no direct comparison between this two products, as stated in my first post, Hooking up to a FULL HD LCD will never get you the clarity of a LCD monitor. Full HD LCDs have a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 no matter what size it is, whereas a 30" LCD Monitor can display up to 2560x1600, you get a smaller screen with a higher resolution, thus finer details. You should read the first line and the first post of this thread, LCD MONITOR ≠ LCD TV. LCD TV has so much more connectivity, some even comes with a digital TV tuner, remote control, bigger panel etc and that justify the price that you're paying for it.

Just bought a T2200HD yesterday.
Don't mind the pic below in the spoiler, taken on crappy camera. I attached an actual screen capture of my desktop.

You can see it's quite good for RM560 (22" 1920x1080 native resolution, manufactured Sept '08).

Too bad for me, I have the unfortunate event of comparing it side-by-side with my friend's S-IPS monitor. Now I am wondering should I sell it and get a S-IPS panel.

Those who have the extra moola to spend on the best LCD, look no further. =D

24" at RM3.5k. I think it is reasonable since it is LED display. smile.gif

Does the S2409SW provide HDMI Cable?
I wonder why most Lowyat shops didnt sell Dell Monitors doh.gif
*
HDMI cable are cheap, you can get them as low as RM25 shipped from Play-Asia. Unless you're aiming for high end ones from Monster Cable, which costs around RM200-RM1k

Is it true that you can exchange your Dell UltraSharp monitor even if one dead/stuck pixel is found?
*
If you do that, they will replace it with a refurbished unit for you. If I were you, I rather not, keep the brand new unit, 1-2 dead pixels is not that big deal.

Comparing TN panel and S-PVA, that's hmm, that's like comparing proton vs ferrari right?

Should be Potong with Toyota/Honda. Beemers are the H-IPS panels and the Ferraris are LED panels. biggrin.gif

RM949 for an IPS panel is really value for money, those who seek for color accuracy & quality, this is the LCD to go for.

I'm ordering one unit to compare with my old S-IPS 2007WFP.
