Hi guys, I'm planning on buying a 24-inch LCD monitor with resolution of 1920 x 1200, and comes with HDMI connector.

What is the best 24-inch monitor in market now, in terms of price and also quality ?

By the way, is it glossy capabilities will give better image quality ?

Thx

one question.. i just got my HP w2228h 22" Monitor.. okay, the display is nice.
The scenario is like this,

1. when the pc is on, my monitor is not making any noises.
2. when i shutdown / sleep the pc, the monitor will make a screeching noise that is very faint if you're 1 meters away. if im sitting at the chair, the noise can be heard.
3. another thing is, i get headache when im near the cpu.
*
1. ok ur monitor looks good here, im also using 1 of the hp monitor but mine is 24"
2. thats little weird, why ur monitor got a screeching noise when turned off? my monitor doesn't have any weird sounds except when i change my "My HP Display" to another mod...
3. maybe u need sometime to adept with large screen monitor..

by the way have u installed all the monitor driver?, maybe the screeching sound appeared coz of you dun install the hp monitor driver yet...

what is the minimum dimension of LCD that support HDMI input? and the price too
*
what do you mean dimension? is it reso or the size of monitor?

for minimum requirement for LCD that support HDMI input i suppose is 1920x1020 reso and 22".

I guess the cheapest LCD that hv HDMI and 22" is BenQ E2200W for RM 7xx only

then which gc suits 1920x1080 the most..? i've just bought the 9600GT though  cry.gif

maybe the E2200HD would be cheaper in kl.. in lowyat especially..
*
Find a GC like 4850 1gb or any gc that hv 1gb of memory...

due to large memory of gpu, the gc will perform better in large screen size...

Hi, I just upgraded from 15" CRT to 19" widescreen LCD (ViewSonic VA1928wm). The recommended resolution and refresh rate is 1440x900 60Hz. But I notice that using 1440x900 60Hz will have slight flickering (like liquid movement) when looking the words carefully, why is this happen? It is not so obvious, but once you see it carefully, you will notice that. So I try to adjust the refresh rate to 75Hz, it solved the problem, but will it hurt the LCD?

Ghosting problem?

going to buy the 2233BW in december..
ThunderMatch at low yat right..?
lucky less then rm700..

mybe i can upgrade my GC also..
9600gt to Hd4850...
should i guys..?

Added on November 23, 2008, 12:30 amor is the 9800GTx+ better..?
*
Yes, 9800GTX+ is slightly better than hd 4850 512mb in terms of performance, but both of the card performance are almost identical...

Yet the hd 4850 512mb price is cheaper by RM 100+ than the 9800gtx+...

For me i'll go for hd 4850 1GB GS for better performance in large resolution LCD screen, since u r going to purchase new 22" LCD monitor, i recommended you to buy hd 4850 1gb GS edition thumbup.gif

high Dc more better ?? why the T240 so expensive ?
*
LOL "Dynamic contrast ratio" is just for the marketing purposes, its not the true contrast ratio...

better u check the monitor static contrast ratio (true contrast ratio)

T240 is more expensive than the 2433BW becoz T240 has HDMI input while 2433BW doesn't have 1, but both monitor spec are quite identical...

T240 also has DC 20000:1 & 1000:1 ... same as 2433BW

but if u want to buy a monitor, u should see the monitor display with ur own eyes, dun trust 100% on the monitor spec smile.gif

hey guys. i would like 2 ask can 2232BW run full HD 1080P properly or go 4 the 720P instead? i got 3870 in the CPU right now. hehe!
*
I dun tink 2232BW can run full hd.... a monitor will need at least 1920x1080 reso to run full hd. hmm.gif
