Another example just like someone using one monitor watching market share rate / football match another one use for surfing / playing games.

they can get the latest news without any clicking, just moving their eyes. (A sound ~> "Goal !!!" Eyes change monitor )

performance both are ok.

just the difference function and design.

I always see people replied this way but is there any prove that you need more than 512MB VRAM when going over 20" LCD.
Back to those days, yeah, VRAM matters for bit depth and resolution. But since nowadays most GPU has at least 128MB or more, why it matters to have more than 512MB when going over 20"?

GPU job is to render image and send them to the monitor. Its the monitor responsibility to display it. GPU wont hold back the data unless you enable VSYNC. If your LCD unable to keep up with the GPU output, how can it be related to the GPU?
*
It just like processor process data to hard drive. it need access RAM right?

By the way are we a little bit.... sign0006.gif ?

I dont think its off topic if its related to the monitor.

BTW, your assumption is wrong. First of all, GPU has ram too. Instead the hdd works like the monitor too. Receiving data from the CPU and the same can be said for the LCD receiving data from GPU. VRAM should come into question when it comes to resolution used and not the size of LCD being used.

Oh i see, alright will do more research on it.

if your old monitor already meninggal dunia n have no choice but to get a LCD, just get the cheap cheap 22". Full HD or not the price is almost the same. 22" LCD is not getting cheaper. DONT expect the price to fall below RM500. They will replace the models with more pixels, high specs to keep the price above RM500. 17" CRT WERE NEVER BELOW RM300. LCD will not fall below RM350. 19" LCD will not fall below RM400.

If you dont use the monitor for console gaming, just get the T2200HD or the Samsung 2233BW. Both are full HD TN panel with DVI and HDMI, the T2200HD is way more cheaper than the Samsung 2233BW. Next time, when you upgrade your system, u dont have to upgrade your monitor.

Are You sure about this? Since 2 years ago already can bought below RM300 (first hand)

at my place lar.. sarawak kuching
