Already V5. Good. :thumb:

In Kuantan, 2253LW also sell around RM8++ but suddenly price drop to RM799 and I got another discount. Only one shop here displaying 2253LW, other need to order.

2253LW came out after 2253BW as a replacement of 2253BW. Don't ask me why the size difference. May be samsung found out that 21.6" is the perfect size to lower the manufacturing cost and economical.

HD4670 can use with 22' lcd monitor?er..means can get good resolution i think.><
*
Mine only HD2600XT but can use 22". The problem is not about getting a good resolution but your pc performance when playing games. I have no problem playing DMV4 with my rig although I get lower fps ( 25~30) when playing at high resolution (1280x1024) and using dx10. So, I believe higher range of GC will have no problem.

But if you just want to use for internet, or word and divx movie, lower end gc is enough.

Don't get wrong with LG W2242T with LG W2252TQ. W2242T priced at RM599 while W2252TQ prices at RM9++. The only place I heard selling W2252TQ for RM6++ is at Sunway Pyramid. Heard from one of forumer here. But may be those seller give him wrong model. Lucky him.

If compare the spec side by side, LG W2252TQ is much better from Samsung 2253LW.

LG have 22" screen size, 10,000 DC and lighter. But the typical contrast only 700.

Never seen this model before, so can't give real life comparison.

BTW, I think LG malaysia wrongly put the resolution size. Suppose to be 1680 x 1050, not 1440 x 900 right?

This is the answer I get from Yahoo! Answer

QUOTE
Static contrast ratio is the better value to use for comparison because it describes the blacks and white more accurately. As you said, since most companies no longer use this value anymore, then we have to rely on comparing dynamic contrast ratio. The reason why companies use dynamic because it is a higher number. The general public tend to buy things with higher specs because they are uneducated about electronics.

A good static number is above 1500:1. A good dynamic number is 7000:1 or higher.

There isn't an exact formula to convert static to dynamic, as they are not directly related. Generally speaking, it's usually 4 to 5 times the static.

For me, I only use typical contrast. When I set to dynamic contrast, sometimes the screen will be too bright and too dark. So far, as I'm still less than a week using my lcd monitor, I can't see any use of dynamic contrast.

I think depend on monitor. Some can go 75, but some can't. I already try setting some lcd monitor to 75Hz but my eye easily get dizzy.

When comparing lcd monitor with glossy screen and normal (forget what it call), I like the glossy screen. Image look sharper and nicer. But I don't like the reflection on the screen. If got lighting from behind, can see the light reflection.

Small bleeding is normal, but half inch? sweat.gif

I never tried 24" so can't give comparison for 24". But so far from some of 19" I checked, I never saw "half inch" bleeding and mostly none. My 22" lcd got like <0.2" bleeding. May be because the screen is bigger, the bleeding also larger.

Nowadays no more 24" with 16:10 ratio ?
*
Actually there are only a few 16:9 for 24". Manufacturers are aiming for console gaming and also hd movies play back. But for normal use, 16:10 still the standard ratio for widescreen lcd monitor. But may be in the near future, 16:9 will be standard to standardized lcd tv and lcd monitor ratio.

Guys...I need some advice in getting a new monitor.

1) Which one should I take? A LCD monitor? Or a LCD TV use as monitor?

2) What are the pros and cons of these two?

Note: Previous monitor burned suspected due to overheat. (My room no air-cond and I turn On monitor for a long period eg. more than 8hours). Heard that LCD Tv is more durable for my condition. (Dunno how true)

Thanks...  notworthy.gif

For desktop, use LCD monitor. LCD monitor is more suitable for internet and daily usage. For normal 32" with HD ready, the resolution only 1360 X 768, smaller than 17" lcd monitor. The text is readable but not nice. Although with large screen, your desktop space is smaller. But if you more money, I believe there are 22" inch lcd tv model out there. The price... well as expected very expensive.

which is the best option for 600MYR range? Thanks

You can't get 24" with that budget. PC Fair price is not that cheap. I think what best about PC Fair is free gift. The price not different from Low Yat.

For PS3, bigger is better because with gamepad you will sit farther from your monitor. But as the price difference is almost RM500, better get 22" only. Small screen but higher resolution.

QUOTE(cinbao @ Nov 11 2008, 05:28 PM)
With Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, I believe the LCD TV already near parallel with the 2408WFP resolution (1920x1200), SPVA (Vertical Alignment) only improve the viewing angle to 178'c / 178'c & true 24 bits 18.7 millions colors, since this LCD TV also able to provide this viewing angle, with the bigger size of 32' inch that make me think hard why should I chooser Dell 2408WFP instead of this LCD TV.
*
What is the price of the Full HD TV? I believe it will cost more than RM3000.

Full HD TV is very expensive and low resolution if compare to LCD Monitor. If for console game (PS3, XBOX etc) and movies, LCD TV is the best choice, but if you also want to do normal internet surfing, desktop publishing and office work, LCD monitor is the best choice.

Playing console game on small screen is very, very dissatisfying experience. Even with low resolution (tv resolution), when playing game I like my 32" lcd tv more. But for internet, surely no..no... Text to hard to read.

QUOTE(SurFerZ @ Nov 11 2008, 05:37 PM)
Thanks anyway.. biggrin.gif
Almost forget that i'm using it for my pc aswell..will it affect the size of the text and the icons with 1980X1080 resolution on a 22inch?compared to a 24..
*
Someone need to confirm this. I also wonder about the text for this HD 22" lcd monitor. The dot pitch must be larger if compare to normal 1650 x 1080. How about the text? But I read that no problem so far.
