Yes! Done my 1st Half Marathon at Borneo International Marathon today.
Finished at 02:05:47, place 77th (total no of participants for Half Marathon around 300++) Initially i planned to measure the exact distance by using by GPS, but forgot to activate the sensor when the race start. Quite noob, probally too excited for the run. Although today missed my hi-case target of sub-2, but it's very nice to have complete the half marathon without pancit. Hehe, my 1st medal from runnning: |

meatball88 : Thx. I think you can do it la, now ur 12km at 67mins, quite good le. The organizing is quite well done, the web was setup nicely and quite frequent email update. There is a bit excessive of water station, can be seen anywhere. But some water station near finishing line was run out of cup when i passed thru. Hehe, probally becos they lack of experience since this is the 1st Borneo International Marathon. I believe the organizer are trying to do their best.
The total turn out around 1000++, 300++ for full, 300++ for Half, 400++ for 10k. If they do more publicity, i think next year will be more runners joining. |

toto4d: Pressure free for the first time racing this distance. Though you miss your sub-2 target, your timing is already remarkable that put some others to shame. Anyway, CONGRATZ on getting your first shiny. 2 more will be coming and then you be certified a marathoner!

Didnt time my run but managed to finish it nevertheless. Organization was ok-ok only. Pacesetters is still no 1 in managing runs.

d3vilzzzz: If you run through Planetarium, then the distance will be around 6KM. They all started as beginners but has hence improved. Some can even take on 10KM double hills and some 20KM Hartamas route. 1 loop around the Lake Gardens is 2.3KM.
sfax: 3 days 2 nights (5 Dec - 7 Dec) travelling by First Coach. What you mean you think you book? Book already or not? |
